What a lovely surprise seeing you on here today !! 🥰...... Your really inspire me Tina with your knitting...... I only wish I could churn jumpers out like you do! ...... I would love to be able to knit like you someday. I'm ok with basic socks and I've made 3 winter wine 🍷 jumpers ( with your help)... I've only been knitting since 2020 and it's only because of the lovely RUclipsrs like yourself, who I give the credit to ..... Thank you💐 👋👋 x
Thank you so much. It's lovely to know the videos helped. The credit goes to you . It's not easy learning something new and you have learnt to knit socks and jumpers . Well done you 👏👏👏
Happy New Year Great ideas coming up I don;t have a huge yarn stash but what I have is mostly bulky yarn as I like quick knitting lol Happy stitching Patty
Hi Tina Happy New Year to you and Gary. I loved all your vlogmas videos along with lots of other people. Whitmoor sweater is coming along beautifully and pretty. It is on my list for this month to start when I have finished my second flax which is halfway through although I fancy knitting an Anker Sweater by Petite knits first. Decisions!!!!!! 😀 Foxy chops is also getting there. Your Aura cabin shawl is superb and loving the colours. Your idea of the Granny square rug/blanket is great for using up scrap yarn I have done that many a new year to use up oddments leftover from other projects and they are fun to see how they come out. I have waffled enough LOL Take care Amanda from Lincolnshire xxxx🧶🧶
Hi Amanda, I think starting the granny square was a mistake. I'm already addicted 🤣 It's too much fun . Thanks for watching and I hope you are happy with your sweater decisions. Happy knitting x
Happy new year! Your shawl looks great, and the colors are very interesting. I have two crochet blankets in the works at the moment, all my sock yarn leftovers go there. Your Whitmoor is very pretty, I made the cardigan and it's a bit big for me, maybe I'll try the pullover.
Wishing you and hubby a Happy 2023. Good to hear you had a chilled time, sometimes that's just what you need. Looking forward to seeing what you stitch throughout 2023. Take care🤗
Hi Tina. Glad you’ve had a good break. It’s all gone by too fast hasn’t it. Whitmoor jumper is looking great. O that cabin shawl, it’s looking gorgeous already. Sings very Egyptian to me for some reason. I love it. ❤It will be stunning when finished I’m sure. I’ve sorted my stash too, have loads of minis but can’t crochet. I’ve a few tutorials for beginners lined up so hoping I’ll be able to master it. That’s my goal for 2023 anyway 😀🤞. Happy New year to you & Gary & hope 2023 is a good one for you both
Happy new year, I hope it's a great one for you. I went back to @bellacoco for a crochet refresh. That's the channel that taught me and I like Sarah-Louise's style . Very easy to follow 😁
Loved vlogmas and enjoy all your videos. Looking forward to seeing how things like the shawl come along. I'm forcing myself to take a day off from knitting because I've been overusing my hand/wrist. Hope to be back at it tomorrow. Happy New Year!
Hi Tina, that new shawl with all those colours is making my head spin ha! ha! 🤭 I don't know how you do it, I only wish I had even half your talent, foxy is coming along nicely as well, may the New Year be a wonderful one for you and the family, hugs Sarah 💌
Thank you Sarah . I just try and follow the pattern . It's the designers that make it possible. I make plenty of mistakes ( personalization) but that's ok it's only knitting 😁
My son had a name since I was 10 years old. It's was my favorite name. My daughter on the other hand was quite different. We couldn't agree on a name for her. Seeing her face her name came to me.
Happy New Year 🎉. Love everything in the making and seeing your yarn all ready for future projects. Great idea to weigh scraps into 10 or 20 grams. Can't wait to see how it all progress. 😊
Happy New Year .I've been sorting my bits of 4 ply into a bag. Not sure what project I shall do yet. I am really planning to finish 5/6 WIPs this month before starting anything new....ha ha ha xx
Good luck with your plans I hope you finish some things this month. It's like a reset month isn't it. I'm hoping to get some things finished to. Happy new year 😃
Happy new year. I hope you enjoyed your family Christmas. I'm still crocheting a Christmas tree skirt. I've nearly finished then it can go away until Christmas 2023. I'll be glad to get back to my other projects. I look forward to your stash video. I'm not buying any new yarn until Wonderwool. Well you can't go to a yarn show and not buy anything, after all. 😉
That sounds like a good idea . Delayed gratification is hard but it will be amazing at Wonderwool and gives you something to look forward to. Keep going with the tree skirt, you will be proud of yourself next Christmas. Happy new year x
I am trying to decide what to do with all my scraps. The granny square is a great idea. I may do small squares and sew them together. Happy New Year to you and Gary.
I’ve been planning a big granny square blanket too. I’ve made a couple, but that was so long ago I’ve forgotten everything I knew about crocheting. But I’m going to give it a go.
Nice to see you so soon. I love how you talk about being ‘called (or not) to work on different projects. I’m the same - sometimes I just need to work on what speaks to me - the other stuff will get done. Your Whitmoor is beautiful. I’m tempted to try the cardigan - I don’t knit garments but many of you have it, I love lacey projects …. I’ll see if it speaks up me 🤣. Interested to see what your project in the box will be. It is tough to knit and work - I vaguely remember those days. 🤣. I’m so very happily retired and can spend long hours knitting now. Bliss. See you soon.
I highly recommend the Whitmoor cardigan. The button bands are knit at the same time as the body so no picking up loads of stitches . I used the same needle as body because the DPNs annoyed me . It worked out fine and I know Davina @littleworkroomcrafts did the same 😁
@@Simplyinstitches Thanks for the tips. Guess I'm heading to my yarn store, as I'm a rarity in that I don't have stash - I buy as I need. Not picking up for button bands is a game changer and yes I'll be knitting without DPN's - too much faffing about :)
Happy New Year Tina. Foxy is looking good. I love West knits shawl. I wonder whether to make that myself but gift it. I’ll have a think. I’m sure as I see yours grow, I will want to do it all the more.
Happy New Year Tina, lovely to see you back. The stash buster for your sock yarn will be eagerly awaited by me as my current project is to sort all mine out! I don’t have a huge stash either because I like to use it up too as I go along. Your Whitmoor jumper is beautiful. ❤
Happy new year to you! I wish I could knit as quickly as you do. I cast on a cardigan on boxing day and have only just finished the ribbing! It is a cardigan I plan to wear over summer dresses though so hopefully I'll get it done by then! Foxy chops is going to look just perfect. I love seeing your progress with all your projects.
Happy new year. My secret to fast knitting is I always have a project in my hands if I'm sitting down . I'm actually a slow knitter but I just can't sit and watch TV, I have to be doing something. Also social media isn't my thing . No rush if your cardigan is for summer. Do what makes you happy x
Hi Tina, Happy Healthy Prosperous New Year to you and your family, love the Whitmore jumper, I'm thinking of making the Whitmore jumper but not sure which dk yarn to use , would you recommend the Drops Lima dk I've not used it before , You do inspire me 😊 thank you for sharing. 🥂
Happy new year. I recommend the knitting of the Lima it feels great in hand and the stitch definition is good. I don't know about wear because it's my first time using it . Time will tell 🤞😁
Thanks Tina,,,,Lovely to catch up this early morning,,,,,

Happy New Year to you & Gary!
Happy new year 😁
Happy New Year Tina.
Happy new year, I hope it's a great one for you x
Happy New Year! I love your idea for putting together little balls of yarn for a project. Half the battle is choosing colors to make scrappy projects.
I don't choose I just throw them all in . Overthinking leads to buying more yarn 🤣

How do you measure your yarn so you know how much you have
I weigh it . Not 100% accurate because of different fibers but close enough 😁
