Burning Fight Prototype (SoRRV5 port) - Billy playthrough

  • This project was made by Serrr, Puzirkov and Allan Keiiti. It's a differentiated Streets of Rage Remake modification because, it is the mod with the largest sprite replacement ever made. Every graphic detail was changed to make the game similar to Burning Fight, from the playable characters to the game fonts. Maybe it's just my impression, but it seems that the enemies' behaviors were changed as well; sometimes they approach you when they are behind you and escape when you walk or run straight toward them. There has been a lot of hard work involved in this mod.
    In my sincere opinion, this idea could have been executed more effectively in the OpenBOR engine to overcome limitations. Nevertheless, despite those limitations, it has showcased the tremendous potential of mod creators to harness their creativity and to achieve remarkable results within a constrained environment.

    amazing job, really impressed all of the enemies, bosses and stages are there with some new playability this is a love letter to burning fight

      Indeed, Burning Fight always deserved a new game, whether official or not. When I saw this project, I realized that I wasn't the only person who loves this game; there is a fan base, although it's not large.

    Personally my favorite sorR V5 mod, Puzir and Serrr did an awesome job, as I always said, the mod shows how a deep modding sorR V5 can achieve. Unfortunatelly I dont have time to help on the update 😢 editing those fpg files are painful

      FPG editing can be complicated at times. If I understood how to manipulate this type of file in codes, maybe I could develop a tool for character modding. You've created great content for a obscure game that doesn't have many fan-made contributions on the internet. That will always be memorable for those who are fans of Burning Fight.     Even if William King stands 7 feet tall at 352 lbs is a American Andre the Giant parody.

      I don't see many similarities with Andre, but I don't doubt that the character was inspired on a real person. I like the fact that, unlike Duke and Ryu, Billy doesn't resemble other video game characters.

      This character replaces Adam's slot, Max's slot is used by Bully. The best choice would be using the original burning fight voices, but for some reason it was not possible.

      Ok so your basically saying that I don't need pictures to finish the first level but after I finish the level I can just add pictures when I select it in fpg file

    Can you tell me about the AI method, service you used to make the artwork of Billy?
    I'm not sure I have the right method... Software ? Text to type ? inject a sprite in the AI service ?
    Any help is welcome! I love the result.

      I use an AI called Leonardo. First, I inserted the select screen sprite of Billy and a standard sprite in his default stance, and I also used a text input. Then, I began generating images, experimenting with different text inputs, reinserting some images as prompts, and even adjusting some configuration settings as needed. I don't have an exact method for generating characters; it's more about persistence. I generated over 100 images to achieve that result. Finally I edited manually the image on gimp to change the colors.
