Love your fun projects, especially the BOF Soweth Sampler (great color changes). Also, love the drawing on the shelf and it's history, love those kinds of stories. Thanks for the inspiration and videos!
Hi Kathleen, your new “the office bag” could totally be used as a project bag for cross stitch, sometimes it’s really nice to use a smaller bag for smaller patterns and projects, especially ornaments. I support you in getting out your sewing machine and just giving it a go, start with a simple project like a little pillow. You’ll be sewing up all sorts of things in no time. Your wips are looking so good, beautiful stitching. Stay well!
Seeing your smile always makes me happy. Get out that sewing machine. You will be making project bags before you know it. I have a stack of bags cut out. Now to get them sewn.
I’m in The dead dad club too! I totally agree! If your not laughing your crying! I wear my dads wedding ring everyday! He only got to wear it 5 years and I found it in my jewelry box a few years ago and thought, it fits and I’m wearing it! I feel my dad with me every day! Also I catalog in my head too! I work in a salon and how I keep ALL my clients lives separated and remember everything is that I have an imaginary Rolodex in my head and when I have that client I pull their card up and I see the ‘notes’ I put under their name!
I'm sooo glad we've kept so many blankets and sleeping bags from when we lived in Canada. The sleeping bags I think saved our pool equipment, despite losing power & the top of the pool water getting a 1.5-2" thick layer of ice. We evacuated to a relatives who never lost power. They did lose water for 16ish hours, but that was an inconvenience for us vs trying to freeze to death. (If you lost water and power, I'm so sorry, that's the worst combo.) We lost 98% of the fridge & freezer foods (saved some by taking it to the relatives). But I saved enough that I don't need to shop for meat for a few weeks (if I eat a lot of spaghetti & stew type dishes). But I consider us extremely lucky that cold food loss was the worst of it. Some of our house plants are pitching a fit from the lack of heat, some outdoor landscaping looks unhappy, but that's nothing compared to what others are dealing with. I didn't stitch much last week...too distracted. I also didn't watch much youtube...I had 60+ videos saved & I'm trying to catch up, mixing genres & video lengths to keep some variety in (30ish left to get through). I'll watch a short grocery haul video next, then a long flosstube, then a short plant video, short flosstube, theme park content, flosstube, plant video etc.
Oh my goodness!!!! I am so sorry you had to deal with all of that. Glad you had some nice relatives but I would be distracted too. I hope you have had a better few weeks sine.
@@stitchuationnormal7082 I'm stitching some, not as much as I'd like. Cats didn't enjoy the evacuation and we're dealing with an issue due to that. Not sure if the cats feel evacuating was the best decision, but I'm pretty sure they would rather be warm if stressed vs freezing cold in their usual environment. And the relatives home didn't have other animals or kids...it could've been a lot more awkward & stressful.
Loved your dye tutorial, which I saved right away for future ref. I’d keep the Goonies in your The Office bag. Btw, my son also loves the Office. Cheers n thanks for your lovely videos.
I love how you talked to your dad’s funeral card for your first few videos. There’s nothing wrong with that. Even though our loved ones might not be on this earth anymore that doesn’t mean that they don’t give us comfort. I have a picture of my mom right next to the chair where I stitch. She always brings me comfort. I love the progress you made on Little Women and it’s going to be beautiful when you’re done. Have a good week.
Your “Little Women “ is looking beautiful!! Nice work 👍❤️😊 oh geez, I had already forgotten your “Team Christopher” declaration. That would never affect my love for you, even though I am solidly Team Luke/Team Jess. People are silly to take offense. Glad you’re taking time to take care of yourself! So touched to picture you speaking to your Dad’s picture doing your first videos. ❤️❤️oh my, I have Riley Harbor but have too much going right now to start it. It is a gorgeous design!

Your Aida dye tutorial reminded me of a funny story....I have been a knitter for many years and have tried to dye my own yarn (unsuccessfully lol). I was doing research online one night and my husband walked thru the kitchen and asked me what I was doing. "Researching ways to dye." "WHAT??!!??!"
Hi Kathleen- I just discovered your flosstube channel a few weeks ago and I'm hooked! I watch an episode every morning while I get ready for work. ☺️ I , too, am an Office fan and was surprised to hear that you like CREED the best! CREED?! Really?! That's the first time I've heard of him being someone's favorite. I've always thought that he must smell like sausage. And for some reason that creeps me out. 😂
I love you just the way you are! You should really break open your machine and just play around! You’ll love it! I look forward to seeing your designs.
Kathleen! Happy Monday! My kids had no school last week due to snow/ice here in Alabama. I was so excited when they all returned to school today. 🏫 📚 ✏️
Go for it....sewing that is. I love to sew. I also LOVE he Gilmour Girls. I have only watched it once and I think it is time to watch it again from beginning to end. Did you say there is some stitching pertaining to the Gilmour Girls??...maybe I just misheard.
Thanks for the motivation, Hanna! And yes, there is some sort of Gilmore Girls SAL or box or something but I don't know what it is... I have just seen people posting in instagram stories
Don't let a sewing machine intimidate you. They are pretty easy to master. Vonna Pfeiffer has some very beginner friendly You Tube videos on getting to know your sewing machine.
Yas! Team Christopher! I seriously thought I was alone in that, so thank you for sharing! You do you, be yourself, because you have such awesome energy and a very cheerful personality! You bring joy to these trying times! Love seeing your progress. Take Care!
Always love to see your smile😁. Flosstube has kept me going. I live on my own so it's kept me sane as I suffer from depression and not speaking to anyone is not good. I now don't want to go out at all. Take care my dear🤗
Hi! So I totally bought some fabric this week and am considering trying to do a project bag after Elizabeth Ann’s video also. Glad I’m not the only one!!!
I so much appreciate your honesty, support, and encouragement. Today was definitely one of those days where all I was capable of was “lying in bed and watching Felicity,” and you made me feel okay with that. Thanks! Can I ask what cross stitch design program you’re using? I’ve done some design before, but it’s all been with pencils and graph paper - so upgrading to the 21st century would be wonderful!
You should definitely get your sewing machine out and try to finish things. It might encourage me to do the same. I got a sewing machine for Christmas and I’m a little scared of it so I haven’t made anything yet...
Yay, a new video. ❤️ It was fun to watch and seeing all your projects. A year ago I started to sew masks as a total beginner. Now I'am also thinking about sewing a project bag after elizabethanncanstitch's tutorial.
Great video as always. I was so excited when you talked about Greys Anatomy.... I have just started binge watching it, I didn’t watch it first time round ( i never seem to watch things first time found 🤦♀️) I love it 🥰 . I am only on series 2 so don’t understand what you mean about dead mans club 🤷♀️. Take care k
Yay for the Strawberry SAL!! Yes, let's start on the first day of Spring, Saturday, March 20th. I'm looking forward to it. Your Little Women is coming along - it's going to be fabulous! Enjoyed your other stitching progress, too. For your office bag project, how about "The Office" chart!!!! Saw it on Etsy... www.etsy.com/listing/778018826/the-office-cross-stitch-pattern-best?ga_order=most_relevant&ga_search_type=all&ga_view_type=gallery&ga_search_query=the+office+cross+stitch+pattern&ref=sr_gallery-1-3&organic_search_click=1&pro=1 You are so much fun to watch, definitely brings a smile to my face watching and listening. If you need any help with sewing, I would be happy to help. Hope you meet your stitching goals over the next few days. Take care my friend. Enjoy every stitch.
I think you should use that Office bag as a project bag for smaller things! It would be perfect. By the way, I have never watched The Office... or Goonies... or Grey’s Anatomy... or Gilmore Girls! Lol. We definitely share some aspirations for the year! I so want to get sewing, but I am scared, scared, scared! Eek! And I have written down some ideas for a few designs I would like to create! But I am also not good at drawing. Sigh. (@laurastitcher)
Thanks, Laura! I took your advice and used my office bag as a project bag for a new start and I am loving it. What do you like to watch? I watch pretty much everything so I am sure we have something in common
@@stitchuationnormal7082 I love British crime dramas the most, I think. Vera, Midsomer Murders, Miss Marple, Poirot and so many more. :) In fact, I am watching Inspector Lynley Mysteries while stitching at the moment. :)
Little women is looking pretty. It's good that you mention mental health issues sometimes. We all know that we are not alone but it's good to be reminded that others face and feel the same things. I'll bet that strawberry square will be really pretty stitched up.

I love strawberries too...it’s like the first sign of spring in S California 🥰

All your wips are looking really good😀 DYE 😂😂excited to see what you are designing x
It’s always so good to visit with you! You bring me joy! 💝
Thanks, Denise. You are a light!

I may have to do a strawberry stitch with you!!!! So enjoyed your video!! 🤗

Congrats on your 20th RUclips Kathleen!

I would love to join in with a Strawberry Fields Sal - currently stitching the first in the Beatles series ❤️🖤😘
Oh funnn! I love Octopuses Garden so I might have to stitch that one!
🐴🐴🐴
I love watching your cute bouncy self. Since you talked about The Office, I wanted to suggest a Canadian TV show called Corner Gas.
Corner Gas is a funny one! I have caught the odd episode here and there over the years.
I love all of your videos. What program are you using to design your pattern?
Thanks, Erin. I am using Winstitch to design. It was a little tricky at first and I am still figuring everything out with it but I am getting there.
