Good to hear you had a wonderful time with your family. You look great with your tan. Enjoy every stitch. Congratulations 🎉 on you subscribers. Take care🤗
My vote for your birthday start is Butterfly Cloche. It was fun hearing about your vacation at the lake. The pictures were gorgeous. Looking forward to your next video. Thanks!!!
That video in the beginning was so funny! Brilliant 😀lovely finish and good haul! I love the Butterfly Cloche and that would be a lovely birthday start for you. Glad you had a great holiday,I hope you get your routine back soon x
I just finished stitching Miss Peepers and took Home of a Needleworker to Hobby Lobby to have it framed. That will be my first professionally framed piece. How funny you showed both of those. Thank you for sharing. Have a great week. Go Canada!
Looks like cottage life agreed with you - so pretty! Enjoyed your stitching update. Love the Butterfly Cloche pattern, such a gorgeous design, my vote for your birthday start. Hope you continue to feel well. Take care! Happy Stitching.
Since you are a fairly new stitcher I would like to introduce you to a fantastic needle woman-teacher, Jean Farish. Her RUclips is devoted to teaching and her work makes me salivate. I have been stitching since the 1980’s (yep, I am old) and I do consider stitching creative. It makes me filled with joy. I have learned so much from this RUclips. I found you from Elizabeth Ann can stitch.
My vote is for you to start Butterfly Cloche for a birthday start! Good to catch up with you again, I’m glad you’re doing well and had a nice vacation.
Just found your channel. You are a gem. Just subscribed. I love your wips and the finish. I do embroidery and just started needlepoint. I have not cross stitched yet, but you are inspiring. Love your dyed fabrics. Keep the videos coming our way.
Hi there. Welcome back. You look gorgeous. Happy to hear that you are feeling good and much better than a year ago. I am from Toronto and i am so glad to hear of other fellow Canadian stitchers. Take care and please if you need a virtual hug at anytime let me know.
Haha, I was cracking up about the geriatric stitchers! I may be 65, a grandma, and consider myself a young active "senior", I have never done any plastic canvas work. Although, there is a lady in my stitch group that makes the tissue boxes and they are really cute! (not in my house teehee) I love taking spin classes, stretch and water aerobics at my YMCA 5/6 times a week! I will be checking out your free shipping b&m shoppe!! You are too cute! Yes, there's a warp and a weft to the woven fabric. I'm not sure if the metallic thread has anything to do with. But I've had it happen too! The glass present your friend gave you is called a frog. Its used to arrange cut flowers and they are very expensive, so be careful with it not to break it! (This is the grandma in me!) Butterfly Cloche for your birthday! I want to stitch that too! Are you a September baby? Mine is the 25th! Let me know and I'll send you something!
I hear what you are saying about there being a right and wrong place to start on linen. Jean Farish has a great video on this that really make sense. I’ve been stitching about as long as you have, and my WIP list is just about as long. Maybe when I’ve been stitching longer I’ll feel better about having lots of WIPS. Right now, containment is the key to my being able to stitch in peace. I think a lot of WIPS would stress me out.
Love watching your videos. After I watched your last video I went and purchased the September mystery bag from stitch toolbox on etsy! I had to purchase a maple leaf needle minder to celebrate buying from a Canadian shop! 🤓🍁💗
I think you should start whatever makes your heart sing for your BD start. Love your dried fabric....great job. I have not been so brave. Love your spirit
Hi! I’ve just found you for the first time and really have enjoyed this video! I had my birthday start yesterday and started Butterfly Cloche! So I can totally recommend it 🦋
My birthday start will be Butterfly Cloche... I'm a September girl!!! I will also be starting another HAED, A Place of her Own by James Christensen! Happy early birthday!
So glad you’re well and happy. Love your stitches. You’re so fun to listen to- Elizabeth Ann says you are her favorite floss tuber. The fabric you dyed is wonderful. I think I’m going to try it. Thanks for sharing.
Well, I made an abrupt detour from your Flosstube to head over to creative quarters… Three charts are on their way to me! Thank you! Starting Crosstitch projects is too much fun to ever count how many WIPs I have!
Thank you so much for your tutorial on dying fabric! I have watched several tutorials on dying. Yours was the one that clicked with me and gave me the courage to try. It was so much fun. I have some great colors and want to dye a lot more. I love your videos.
Congratulations on your Create finish, it’s beautiful. I loved seeing your wips and I love the Butterfly piece too as your birthday start, but you cant go wrong with any of them. Your dyed fabric is gorgeous.
Using plastic canvas and yarn is a great way to have kids learn cross stitch. Typically, you’d use tent stitch, but there no reason you can’y do a full cross. 🤣I hadn’t thought about those tissue boxes in years! And for some people, clowns are scary enough-I can’t imagine how scary a stormy clown would be! 😱 My Mother’s House is beautiful, even without the chocolate. 🤐 Don’t pull your stitches as tightly when you do over one. That will help a bit. If you want to stitch the most stable way: Poke your needle up into the fabric to start where the VERTICAL (up and down) thread to the right of your needle goes OVER the HORIZONTAL thread is below your needle. My new start vote is for Pieces of Old. It’s incredible and I don’t see anyone on YT stitching it right now.
I recently discovered Creative quarters as well and shopped there. And I don’t know if you have mentioned this shop before (since this is the first video of yours I am watching) but Embroidery Marketplace in Calgary, AB is a great place to shop as well. I randomly came across it a few months ago while searching on google if I could get fancy floss near me. Was so excited to find a shop so close to me since Traditional stitches was taking too long with their orders and I am impatient (except for when doing cross stitch - don’t know the logic). Lol! Enough of my ramblings - I really enjoyed your video. Oh and I think you should start Butterfly Cloche - it’s so pretty!
I think the tip to stitch “correctly” on linen only matters when stitching 1 over 1, Jean farish has a tutorial. I also have never noticed an issue with 2 over 2. I vote for Butterflies!
I tried this tutorial for evenweave, but still did not work out well:) 2 over 2 is usually not an issue for me either, but for 1 over 1 I cannot use sawing method:(
Hilarious little video snippet. I did indeed laugh out loud! I also love the Olympics, and even though I am from the US, I was very impressed with several of the Canadian teams and athletes! And that Winter Circle would look good on one of your hand-dyed blue fabrics!
Hey! It's the stitching over 1 which results in the floss sliding under the fabric thread, it doesn't happen when you go over two. There are tutorials that show you how to prevent the slipping, try Jean farish?? Edited: I found it. It's Jean farish's channel. Episode 15, start at minute 24. Her explanation is fantastic and comes with diagrams to reinforce what she's showing.
Hello Kat!! Miss you!! I love the “CREATE” one you completed! The colours are so fun! I might have to peak on Instagram! No..I will behave myself! Great job! ❤️🇨🇦🇺🇸
Love that your soccer team won and how happy it makes you!! Glad to hear the cabin adventure was a good one, sounds very nice to me. Every time time I see your Reindeer Round up I think about pulling mine out, it's on the list though. Happy early Birthday to you! Thanks for your videos and all the inspiration. Happy Stitching! PS: love your dyed fabrics, very pretty.
I love your videos ❤️ :) I also stitch on 20ct Bellana, but unfortunately with evenweave the sawing method doesn’t work, because the floss indeed slides under:( so I feel your pain😂😂
Hi Kathleen @elizabethannecanstitch talked about you in her latest floss tube and I had to come over. Loved your thumbnail clip. In the UK LNS are equally few in number. I’m very fortunate to live 5 minutes from Patchwork Rabbit which is an awesome LNS.
I sooo loved watching the Olympics. Made me so happy! But like you, as am even more excited that the Winter Olympics are only six months away. Yippee!!! For Canada, I was super happy when Andre DeGrasse won gold. I think he always seems so nice and I was absolutely thrilled for him. Finland got two bronze medals, which was lovely. My current homeland Australia certainly managed to get lots of medals this time. And wips... I just dared to count mine. Oh boy. I have 91 and I am starting another one today. Woohoo! I think I need to start working hard on these wips. (ig: laurastitcher)
Good to hear you had a wonderful time with your family. You look great with your tan. Enjoy every stitch. Congratulations 🎉 on you subscribers. Take care🤗
Butterfly cloche is the perfect birthday start!
Love your dyed fabrics. I vote for Butterfly Cloche as your birthday start. Stay safe Kathleen ❤

Thank you my stitchy friend.

My vote is for you to start Butterfly Cloche for a birthday start! Good to catch up with you again, I’m glad you’re doing well and had a nice vacation.
Your dyed pieces came out really well. I will check out the tut. The clip of you trying to get a thumb nail picture was hilarious.
You should definitely start the butterfly 🦋 one for your birthday ❤ from Australia 🇦🇺
Just found your channel. You are a gem. Just subscribed. I love your wips and the finish. I do embroidery and just started needlepoint. I have not cross stitched yet, but you are inspiring. Love your dyed fabrics. Keep the videos coming our way.
I would love to try embroidery in the future! Thanks for watching
LOL at the thumbnail video...it's so true...if people really knew the awkward silence while you try to smile and make different poses hahah
Ohhhh! Sounds like a great get away!!
You’re so cute! Glad you’re back and hopefully ready to face the school year. Take care! 🧵🪡

Oh you finished Create. I'm behind. Looking forward to seeing it framed. Ive seen it made as a project bag.
Oh that would be so cute.
