I once met Jonah! I was in the states, LA ofc, and saw him on the street (I've been a fan since 2008 - Knocked Up) so I WANTED to say hi, but hesitated and for whatever reason he saw me STARRING at him and I felt SO swkward, but then he waved at me like 'come here dude' which I did and we talked for like 10 minutes! Such an amazing guy!
We just talked about women and a few things about some of his movies that I had to fanboy out about! Lmao. I think I was cool though and not letting it get to me because he's so down to earth. Then he asked if I lived in the area. But no, I live in Denmark. I just got a pretty decent accent because I game a lot and speak loads of english every day.
"It's a time in your life when your friends are more important than your family." What a wonderful and honest way to put that time of your life in a circle of friends.
Are you assuming that all homeless people are bearded men? Bahaha. JK. I was comparing him to Spielberg and other famous directors that grow a beard when they want to be taken seriously. Even Eminem grew one when he decided he wanted to adult.
mid90s is one of my favorite movies of all time. you can just tell the heart and soul jonah put into this film. he did an excellent job depicting life in the mid-90s. love it!
I recently attended a screening of Mid90s where Sunny and a few of the other boys did a Q&A with the audience. Easily my favorite Q&A ever. It was so delightfully awkward. It was clear these boys haven't yet had a ton of Q&As under their belts, so they answered each question with a level of raw honesty that I'm not used to seeing.
I understand that late night TV is supposed to be relaxing and mindless entertainment for people before bed, but I much prefer interviews like this where artists are passionately describing their work. I'm sure more people watch these clips later on the internet than are watching at night, so maybe they can start changing it up.
He seems like such a genuine person. I feel like watching the movie now. You can't fake love or passion, and you can truly see how much he has of both. I'm happy to see him this happy. 😊
Jonah, if you see this know that you have my utmost respect. You are honest and have a great heart. I have enjoyed watching your career grow. Well done sir....well done. This interview got me a little emotional. I’m not crying...you’re crying.
For real though you could TOTALLY tell Jonah's honesty and natural personality being displayed so easily threw him the fuck off. Probably just wishing he had some zany dude on instead lmao
Not only that. He's the only interviewer that stumbles so much over his own words. 0:08 "Uh, what, uh, made you, uhhhh, wanted to shoot, this uhhhh subject, uhh this movie"
Was crazy hearing his HotRod story, I remember begging my pops to take me to that shop buying used decks and some new shoes! Some of the best times with friends skating....#Nostalgia
Yay! Wow. I can't wait to check out this movie. As a mom of a 12 year old boy and having skater friends growing up... I'm excited. The last great skater movie I can recall is Dogtown and Z boys ❤️
It was a joke that they both understood. But maybe came accross a bit uncomfortable because of Pitts status and presence to the viewer, especially where there's literally a compilation video of Jonah Hill getting put down.
Jonah has always been really passionate with everything he does, which is why I think he will make a great director. Can’t wait to see this, cool idea and definitely something new.
My dad took me to the skate part for the first time when I was 2, 2003, I hung out with the latchkey kids and skaters the first 10 years of my life went to the park every day, I got my first pro deck when I was 13, THINK with redz and Chris haslem golden independents, that skate board was my life, my dad has been taking me as long as I can remember I have so much respect for Jonah Hill as a legitimate film director, mid90s might just be a modern classic, I love every minute of it being a kid that grew up in the skate scene.
The movie is so good, didn't expect anything and was so surprised. It's so authentic and spontaneous in many ways. Probably the greatest surprise in cinema I had in a while
There is something so comforting about seeing Jonah Hill all happy and healthy. Anyone else feel like this?
he'll be fat again again by the next movie like the cycle predicts lol
AngeliquePhantomhive yes you can tell he is just very happy and that is just such a great thing to see
except in wolf of wall street. it makes me feel sick lol
@@Eeveefall Which is why I say it's comforting to see him healthy (as in right now, compared to how it was in previous movies) if that makes sense? :D
oh right i see lol. yeah youre right, although hes pretty endearing in superbad.
I’ve never heard a director speak so passionately about a film they’ve made
Yeah he’s a really good director

Jonah Hill is the type of dude you wish you were good friends with.
This is so sick, to see Jonah directing and his interest of skateboarding, couldn't be more hyped as a skater myself
I skated in the 90s and I'm really excited for this!
Fun fact: all the kid actors in the movie are skateboarders, including the main actor, Sunny. He also the voice actor in God of War.
@@manchesterunitedno7 yep hes also in jack blacks new movie
That is a fun fact! Also you can kinda tell too. You get the vibe. :D
It's literally in the title of the video.
Jonah Hill has been aging like a fine wine
"You're a beast Director bro!" That is so amazing that, that is how he responded. Very happy for Jonah Hill!
