The jacket at the end says : "L'aveugle par amour." Which means "The blind (person) by love". In France, we have an quote which says "L'amour rend aveugle" I think it's better like this "Love makes you blind"... If you wanted to know what was written on the jacket.
Dope vlog. If it I could critique one thing It'd be nice if you implement subtitles in for the parts where you're speaking to the locals in Korean. I know it can be extra work, but we had no clue what y'all were talking about in the store lol.
They were just talking about the colors in the girls hair haha nothing really subtitle worthy. Megan noticed her blue hair and the girl said she also had purple streaks but that they all came out. :D Hope that helps! I imagine if it was more important she would sub it.
I'm Romanian and sarmale is not a romanian dish, it is a turkish dish. But yeah, it's eaten very much in Romania and considered a traditional food by most people.
Sarmale are originated from Turkey true, but you can find them in many countries, each of them having different ways of preparing them. :D. We also have our way of cooking them and serving them with specific garnish (polenta and sour cream), and since we eat them as offten as Chinese eat rice hahahha, I guess we can call it romanian dish.
for her to be staying in korea for so long and still have her same personality is amazing. she literally seems like she could go to my school. or be someone i know
we have something similar like that leaf with rice, its called warag inab which means grape leaves, its rice with a bit of stuff and its wrapped with grape leaves, its so good it tastes a bit sour but its delicious
I'm pretty sure that leaf is grape vine. Grape vine is amazing with meat and rice. One of my home country's most popular dishes is mince, rice, onion and spices wrapped in grape vine, all broiled in tomato puree. It's bomb.
So lucky! If you're flying, how much was your ticket out of curiosity and which country are you from? Most prices I've seen are over 1000 and I'm not sure if that's just the sites overpricing
I love your videos. It really did get cold so fast in Seoul. Like one day I was changing into work clothes once I got to work because it was too hot to commute in black slacks. Literally THE NEXT DAY it was FREEZING....
if u like that plain white rice stuffed in leaves u should try the turkish dolma or egyptian mah-shy its literally this juicy rice full of herbs and tomato paste stuffed in all kinds of veggies and vines leaves.
im so happy you might finally do vlogs! I like seeing the cool stuff in Korea but I want to move there so its nice to see some everyday things as well. its not all glitz like I imagine. and im ok with that
Omg grape leavesssss!! My grandmother used to make them all the time, she doesn't make them much anymore but they're probably one of my favorite side dishes in the world~!
I really hope you do more of these vlogs because I love seeing seoul because its so pretty. I have a quick question for you. How did you learn Korean because I really want to learn because I'm planning on going there in the future and I love the language. Did you go to classes or did you learn from a website? I love you and your videos
It's on the top floor of a mall type thing in Seoul. I'm sure if you look up the name of the buffet you'll find it. I went there once but I don't remember where it is exactly.
I am really enjoying your vlogs! Thank you for letting us into a little bit of your world. It's great that you have so many friends. The castle soap that I love the most is the almond and also the lavender scent . The peppermint is awesome as well. I use the soap for everything!!! It's really good at cleaning fruit and veggies just a small teaspoon in a bowl of water will do! Looking forward to more vlogs!🤗
Omg I love this so much I really hope you do videos like these more often and also please please please show us more fashion it's soooo cool, Korean fashion is literally the BEST!
I always hear people talk about how the shops there don't have clothes bigger sizes or than store owner tell them their too big and for them to leave but I'm seeing and looking at the clothes and it doesn't seem bad. Especially that baggy clothes look is my style I can't wait to go there. So I can experience everything myself
I get so jealous every time I see Korean stores. If I go shopping where I live everything is so basic and boring. Everything I see on Korean shopping vlogs so niiice.I love vlogs like this though, you should keep doing them:)
watching your vlogs and videos have made me super excited! I'm going to Korea at the end of the month for a few weeks and its been super helpful with finding vegan places.
This was so exciting for me. When I stayed in Korea I stayed in that building right at Exit 1. So I had so many memories watching you walk around the area. Awesome Vlog!
I spent 3 weeks in Seoul recently and found that yes, It is VERY normal. At first it would bother me and I'd turn around either to apologise or accept one.But then you realise they don't care and just ignore the whole thing. seemed strange but you get used to it :p
I love your day in the life blogs! They're amazing and your personality is perfect with making the viewer stay interested while you have fun! ❤️❤️ stay awesome!

You should do more vlogs like this! The peppermint soap is really good in the summer because it makes you feel cold, but not so good in the Fall and Winter lol!
That white asymmetric joint is poppin. I went to 민형언니의 상실 when I was in Korea last year and I loved it. There's wasn't much in my size + style + price range at the time but my friend found a ton of stuff. That shop is so cute!
yes i love it! i was just in korea and travelled back home to sweden august 29 and i lived right outside exit 1. I was so close to seeing you... but anywaays it was nice that you introduced new places. we walked by shabu shabu but we thought it only served hotpot but booy were we wrong! two og my friends are vegetarian so that would have been a perfect place. oh well there is always a next time. Hopefully you will continue with the vlogs. it was amazing and so are you! lots of love from a black sista from sweden!
Megan! The "rice wrapped in leaf" if it's similar to the Arabic dish it should be grape leaf! ㅎㅎ if you ever go to a Arabic restaurant you should try the veggie grape leaves it's basically the same thing but more spices
Shopping in Seoul looks like heaven 😍

The jacket at the end says : "L'aveugle par amour." Which means "The blind (person) by love". In France, we have an quote which says "L'amour rend aveugle" I think it's better like this "Love makes you blind"... If you wanted to know what was written on the jacket.
+Sephra Ardan You're welcome!
Yeah, it's funny though because the sentence doesn't really make any sense in french x)

Are there different size clothes on Korea? Why did that store only have one of everything? So weird..
thats how a lot of stores are. one size and maybe small and medium and sometimes large
+ChoNunMigookSaram wow that's crazy to think! so different to stores in Australia and America I'm assuming.
+Katrina Smith mostly everything clothing related sold in US has a large lol
I love the jacket and the white top....the asymmetrical is everything! loved it
please keep doing these kind of vlogs
I always hear people talk about how the shops there don't have clothes bigger sizes or than store owner tell them their too big and for them to leave but I'm seeing and looking at the clothes and it doesn't seem bad. Especially that baggy clothes look is my style I can't wait to go there. So I can experience everything myself

Looks like a grape leaf! rice (sometimes with meat) wrapped in grape leaves is a a middle eastern dish called warak dawali.
Megan, what do you do to keep the frizz down & behave? BTW: I love the vlogs, however you want to do them, weekly or bi-weekly, etc.
i have a magic perm. It makes your hair not frizz at all when straightened
the rice wrapped in a leaf is actually Lebanese its called warak inab which is stuffed grape leaves though it might be a Korean version or something
I can't believe I'm the first one here... I'm going to watch this instead of studying in class.
😂😂😂
I'm suppose to be studying biology xD
you have to study in class! :)
I LOVE that white shirt on you !! Thanks for taking us! It was fun!
Is that normal in Korea for people to just bump into you like that @11:08 ?
yep it is
I was wondering the same thing. Note self when I visit next year be prepared not to snap on people.
I was thinking the same thing. That guy seemed upset but Megan didn't seem phased at all lol.
I spent 3 weeks in Seoul recently and found that yes, It is VERY normal. At first it would bother me and I'd turn around either to apologise or accept one.But then you realise they don't care and just ignore the whole thing. seemed strange but you get used to it :p
i will remind you seoul is a very crowded and over-populated city. you cannot proceed on your way without near bumping lol
It's my first visit to Korea this week and I turn on the tv to a random channel, and see you teaching english! :-) What a nice surprise!
