They are not stupid. If everybody comes to know abour Osama's death, U.S. would have to start pondering and would be forced to give a timetable to get out of afghanistan, which, they really dont want. So, Osama would always stay alive in the news, and the so called WAR AGAINST TERROR would continue till all the american objectives are met.
