She spoke in Asheville, NC several years ago. I was able to take my daughters to see her. It was absolutely a highlight of life. She was so gracious and kind in the way she spoke. She was very positive. She talked a lot about how we could save the environment if we would use our brains and resources in the right way. Looking back, it was the polar opposite of an iQ45 MAGATS rally.

She truly is an example of an OG. There aren't too many people like her, who even though they get seriously discounted by others, say whatever I'm going to do me anyways, AND prove everyone wrong.
I met her at a very small gathering at a chimpanzee sanctuary. My 88 and 89 year old parents were there and they still talk about it. She was so present with each person as if the only other person in the room. Fascinating life.
How wonderful for your parents and for you. I had the opportunity as a child, to meet and interact with “Peggy” and “Sputnik”, in Florida; they were chimps who were going to space. They lived in their own little trailer and it was a TRIP for me, as a little kid. When I think about it now, it pisses me off that chimpanzees were used for space missions.

She’s done PLENTY with more serious interviewers and questions. The fact she does ONE that leans to the silly side of things should absolutely not be a negative but a positive. She wouldn’t have agreed if she didn’t want to, let her live her life and make her own choices.
