I've never been to Australia, but this Hungry Jack thing seems so familair. Like I've been there hundreds of times in my life. After seeing this, I'm convinced I was Australian in a previous life.
The Australian Hungry Jack's Double Cheeseburger Supreme is basically the same hamburger as the American Burger King Double Supreme which was also introduced in the late 1990s. (The BK Double Supreme is now called the Big King, and is now resembling the McDonald's Big Mac, right down to the middle club bun.)
Well I always thought southern style chicken is based on an American recipe from the south we or the packaging never say American southern style chicken just pretty much southern
Albert Calis when Burger King tried to open their first store in Australia they found there was already a fast food shop in Adelaide called Burger King. so basically yes it's a wholly owned subsidiary. Burger King is called Hungry Jack's in Australia.
No Hungry Jacks is burger king, its just the owner Jack Cowin didnt own the rights to the name and wasn't allowed to use it. So he changed the name using his name and Hungry Jacks from his Favourite Pancake mix...
I love all the old classic Aussie adds
Whoever made Australian commercials back then had a much better taste in music than the guy who makes American commercials.
True. Not big on the "You Rule!" BS they're using now.
Everyone needs a goal in life. My goal is to watch every Hungry Jacks' ad on RUclips.
These are great. I remember seeing them and thinking how cool the music was.
Yeah. Nice one Ian.
Love the mid-late 90s hungry jacks best
I can see why Australian culture is basically American. The food, the music, everything.
That is so not true in so many ways
Why am I on RUclips looking at all the Hungry Jacks ads?
I love the way they have "The Heat is on" playing during the second ad after clearly saying that it's mild.

To be fair, the Big Mac is essentially the same thing as Big Boy's Double Decker.
There's two Big Mac ripoffs by Hungry Jacks on the menu now. The Big Jack and the Mega Jack.
