I recently purchased these shoes in the Red color way. I'm expecting a durable shoe with good traction to rotate through my season(s). Hopefully they come soon...kinda exited to go hoop in them.
Update: Received the shoe finally this past Friday. Red/White solid outsole.

So far I've worn the shoe for a team scrimmage on Saturday, Monday training and a playoff game Tuesday night. In the game I had 34pts and hit 10 treys. Sat out the entire 4th quarter because we had already had the game in blowout status. Adding a Nike Zoom Shift insole and a Springbak insert I felt like this enhanced the shoe just a lil' bit. The insoles already were broken in; I felt like it helped the initial foot comfort. The cushioning is just average as stated in this video. Very responsive shoe. I'm sure my legs and knees will be sore tomorrow when I wake up lol (It's now 1am here lol n being sore is part of the sport). In game play on court No wiping/no slipping. All my games are played on a pristine maintained court. Final thought: I'm a fan of Lou and his game. Like me he's a lefty. Had to get the shoe & I'm glad I did!
I have weak ankles, is the ankle support good on these?
J T They offer great ankle support. Lace them up to top eyelet n righten the laces good so that your getting the lockdown you need. There’s a outrigger that will give you excellent stability. No shoe will protect your ankles though so look up some physical therapy videos on YT for ankle stretching. Do those kind of stretches daily if your serious about hooping on the regular.
While it's true that no shoe will 100% protect your ankles however. I have rolled my ankle multiple times in the past 2 years since switching from playing in running shoes to mid/high top shoes. However all those ankle rolls were really minor(no downtime required) due to the shoe protecting my ankle. The moment i chose to use a shoe with slightly less support - Nike Air Versatile, i rolled it badly....
Nevertheless, thanks for the advice.
