I can't even tell you how much this video helped me my guy.... I am SOOOOOO BAD at audio. I went to Fullsail and my best friends were audio engineers but as a CGI major, to me audio engineering might as well be Russian lol All the tutorials on the Vmix account regarding audio are awful for anyone that doesnt already have a decent recording arts background. You explained it all so well, and clearly had a true understanding of not just using audio in Vmix but with audio production in its entirety. Watching this had me vividly recalling so many of the hours I spent personally threating to fight the unholy gods atop Audio Olympus.... perhaps they finally grew weary of listening to me and sent your video my way!!!! The only decent thing those bastards have ever done if you ask me! LMAO ***May your mics be forever crisp, and your headphones never echo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!***

An excellent tutorial video. Thanks to John and the channel. We are new to VMix and trying to setup a production system with a Host. Few people will be added via VMix call system or Zoom call with output on one virtual screen. Another virtual screen to cover some ground footage. We are facing hard time to achieve the following: 1. A master output with all video and audio inputs sources for recording and streaming purposes. 2. Audio output send to Headphone device via Capture Card / Computer Headphone socket for the HOST to include Audio's of people connected on call and it shouldn't include his own voice. Looking forward to your expert advice. Thanks in advance.
Audio issues are difficult to diagnose without a lot of context. If the issue you are dealing with is related to noise in the environment you are streaming from, using something like a noise gate or expander could help. Another approach could be using a unidirectional microphone on a headset - something like the DPA 4066. If the noise is more electronic or distortion based, you will need to work through your audio signal chain to find out where you are either amplifying noise with a low signal level or clipping because of a high signal level. Good luck tracking this down! Best, John
vMix doesn't have a built in equalizer, but there are VST3 64bit plug-ins that could cover this for you. I might be able to make some specific suggestions for how to configure your eq if you can share a bit more around what you need to correct or polish in your audio. Best, John

I am having a sound problem with wmix program. The sound coming from the background is too much. How can I solve this problem?
