Winterizing a hot tub is a dopy thing to do. The beauty of a hot tub is using it in the winter. I just got out of my hot tub, 26 degrees out, perfect, so satisfying!
@@whilelissa I live in Chicago suburbs and use my hot tub every day/night all winter long. For over 5 years now. Costs are same in summer as winter and we get down to -20 F actual temps at times in January. Best time to use it is in winter!! Proper insulation means same costs. No need to winterize proper hot tubs no matter where you live! If you can’t beat old man winter…join him!
@@hanschdude23 I have an energy monitoring system in my house and I can tell you 100% for a fact it uses more electricity in the winter. The heater will run more often. In the summer my heater will go a few days without running and when it does run it runs for like 15 minutes as opposed to like 30-40 twice a day in the winter.
Hey! I live in MN and am looking a purchasing this exact hot tub. We would like to use it at our cabin in the winter. Can I ask why you are winterizing yours and not using it throughout the winter? Is it not recommended to use this particular model outside? Appreciate the insight.
my tub was under cover on a deck and i ran it all year. best time is in winter we never understood why people dont use them as much in winter. northern ny is cold all year so we dont shut it down
I’ve absolutely never seen antifreeze put into a hot tub, do you realize what a pain in the ass that’ll be to flush out when you refill again? Unless you want that crap getting into your body.
Thank you. You took a lot of stress off me. So awesome quick video.thanks!
nice video...do u add any more water to it aside from the antifreeze you poured in

When its below 0 with a wind chill a hot tub is useless and costs so much to heat.

@@armyguru1214 Shhhh…my electric company guys must not be doing their jobs… Shhhh…..
Unless it breaks all the time. Like mine. Worst purchase I’ve ever made
What about the compatibility between the plumbing/pump materials and the antifreeze (probably glycerine-based)?

What chemical did you pour into the hot tub?

Music is annoying and makes it hard to hear person talk. Not a good video.
Skip the obnoxious music next time.
This would have been so much better without the music - it's hard to hear what you are even saying at some points
Annoying MUSIC
crappy loud unnecessary music
That sucked
