Yeah the smell is bad. I grew up on a dairy farm so I can handle smelly things more than the rest of my family. Poor Robert had to film and I think he wanted to gag...lol The plants sure like it though!

Hi Kari! Hope all is well! Quick question I made the comfrey tea, but I noticed that there’s these little tadpole looking bugs that formed in there and it looked like eggs formed on the surface is that normal?
@@Mustardseedhomesteading Hey the bugs you described sound like mosquito larvae but I have never had anything that looked like eggs. So no this is not normal...lol Did you use a lid to cover your bucket? I wonder if the egg looking thing is some some sort of mold. That is my best guess without actually being able to see it.
@@AtHomeWithKari I probably should’ve been more specific, lol when I put the comfrey in the bucket to ferment, the lid, was on there completely the whole time, but when I dumped it into a larger bin when it was time to mix it with the water to make the actual fertilizer I didn’t have a cover that fit the whole bin because the bin bowed from the weight of the liquid. I think next time I will get a metal type of large container with something to cover the whole top . But I think because it was open it attracted the mosquitoes and maybe they are mosquito eggs. That’s my guess. When you made your final fertilizer, did you use all of that fertilizer after you mixed it in that one day or did you have a cover that you put over that entire container to protect the fertilizer and then use it within a couple days or a couple weeks? I really appreciate your help in this in advance. I really want this to work because I know it’s probably very good for the garden and so less expensive than buying fertilizer. 😁

I use comfrey fertilizer I just wish it wasn't so stinky!
I feel the same way! The nettle does help with the smell some.
This is not secret anymore. I know it now and I will sell it with huge profits to fertilizer company
