    Excellent demo Vikas with great content and effort but unfortunately you did NOT include a network Diagram to show the configuration pictorially as per your IP addresses concept and configuration table. Network diagrams are critical factors to understanding complex configurations for Cluster fail over and other concepts. Thanks again for sharing your skills.

    One question please, did you connect all subnets on same Vmnet or we should connect eash subnet to a separate Vmnet ?

    NIC Teaming is normally performed for the traffic of the same kind and the same network. in my opinion its not teaming cuz if for instance liveMig vNIC fails, the iSCSI vNIC wont covers for it as they are not dealing with a same traffic or same network-

    Is NIC teaming necessary? I'm using physical switches and have 3 NICs per server.

    • @LabsHandsOn
      @LabsHandsOn  4 года назад +1

      No, you can use your physical nics direct as well.
      I created team to provide HA in case any physical NIC goes down

    Hi friend, I tried to do the same lab as you, but the issue I have is in the network adapters, the mv with hyper-v do not communicate with the domain controller and when you start the iscsi it does not find the iqn of the disks, can you help me tell me which adapters you left in each virtual machine vmnet 2,3,4,5,6,7,8? Awaiting your kind help, thank you.

    Please let me know the network diagram and previous configuration on switch, as i undestand if you make a NIC teaming using different physical NIC connected to different vlan's (heartbeat, livemigration and domain), supposing you loose the domain physical NIC and i have the other 2 physical NIC, it will try to redirect traffic into the other physical ports and it will cause conflict because they don't have the same configuration. I have exprerienced some flapping on the ports when i disconnect one port. Please let me know

    Hi Brother, I just want to ask if I have a SAN storage do I need to configure the iSCSI-vNIC ?
    because my 2 hosts are connected to the SAN STORAGE using FC cables.
    in my scenario how many NIC do I need to configure for teaming?
    Thanks in advance.

    hi ,
    can we do cluster between 2 node without domain controller ???
    i went make domain controller as VM inside node one or Two ?
    regards

      In case u lost qurome services, then u will not be able to log in with domain user since domain controller is not available. Then u will be screwed. Better keep the physical machine which is having cluster conf in different suffix domain name atleast.
