Nice explaination..I am a newby and this video had got a great explanation to understand hyper v cluster config from start to end.. Great learning.. Thank you so much!
@Vikas Singh, this unbelievable incredible and the best video explaining the failover clustering Thank you, Vikas you saved me by this video!. and I would like to thank you for the other videos as well! Awsome MAN keep the Great work UP!.
Excellent demo Vikas with great content and effort but unfortunately you did NOT include a network Diagram to show the configuration pictorially as per your IP addresses concept and configuration table. Network diagrams are critical factors to understanding complex configurations for Cluster fail over and other concepts. Thanks again for sharing your skills.
NIC Teaming is normally performed for the traffic of the same kind and the same network. in my opinion its not teaming cuz if for instance liveMig vNIC fails, the iSCSI vNIC wont covers for it as they are not dealing with a same traffic or same network-
Very Good Video with detailed explanation but it require more & more practice to learn failover clustering & before it basic concepts should be cleared first. Thanks.
Thanks for the demo, Regarding NIC Teaming, can i use Switch Embedded Teaming to create Converged Switch then create 4 vNIC linked to created converged switch for LiveMigration , Cluster , Network , VMs?
Hi friend, I tried to do the same lab as you, but the issue I have is in the network adapters, the mv with hyper-v do not communicate with the domain controller and when you start the iscsi it does not find the iqn of the disks, can you help me tell me which adapters you left in each virtual machine vmnet 2,3,4,5,6,7,8? Awaiting your kind help, thank you.
Please let me know the network diagram and previous configuration on switch, as i undestand if you make a NIC teaming using different physical NIC connected to different vlan's (heartbeat, livemigration and domain), supposing you loose the domain physical NIC and i have the other 2 physical NIC, it will try to redirect traffic into the other physical ports and it will cause conflict because they don't have the same configuration. I have exprerienced some flapping on the ports when i disconnect one port. Please let me know
Hi Brother, I just want to ask if I have a SAN storage do I need to configure the iSCSI-vNIC ? because my 2 hosts are connected to the SAN STORAGE using FC cables. in my scenario how many NIC do I need to configure for teaming? Thanks in advance.
@@LabsHandsOn Thanks a lot, Vikas, by the way, how many physical NIC do I need to use? do I need to configure the NIC teaming for the following? 1. Domain 2. Cluster 3. Live Migration
if vm need another subnet (EG:10.11.20.0)apart from domain vnic, how to configure that extra vnic to work properly ? how to configure the gateway in that case (vlan is different)
In case u lost qurome services, then u will not be able to log in with domain user since domain controller is not available. Then u will be screwed. Better keep the physical machine which is having cluster conf in different suffix domain name atleast.

Thanks for suggestion as well, Next time i will add Network Diagram as well in this.
thank you, clear explanation..
You are welcome!

Very Very good Video Thank you
Thanks, Glad to know you like this video.
Thank you for the explanation.
One question please, did you connect all subnets on same Vmnet or we should connect eash subnet to a separate Vmnet ?

That's right

Great Explaination Brother... Thank you so much.
Here i request you to please consider Audio level much better.

if we process db cluster it will more help on understanding. Requesting for brief vedio on Understanding How Cluster Quorums Work
Sure i will create video on your suggested topic soon.

Yes you can use
Thanks for your work.. Good channel...

Bro do we have these steps as document?
Really your video is so clear !
Sorry i have video only, i think you can find document on google
Another wicked video :)

Is NIC teaming necessary? I'm using physical switches and have 3 NICs per server.
No, you can use your physical nics direct as well.
I created team to provide HA in case any physical NIC goes down

Hi there! Question. What are the other variables or commands such as "-MinBandwithmode weight", "-DefaultFlowMinBandweight 10" for? Thanks!
Check on Microsoft website they have explain everything on this full script.
Thanks you!

Hi bro, very well explanation is it not possible to create NIC teaming without scripting if possible then can you please make a video
Take prnt screen shot & past it to word file then open an notepad & type each line showing on the prnt screenshot.

Hi Vikas,
Does the AD DS server have to be physical?
Can it be virtual and be inside one of the Hyper-V hosts?
Best regards.
It can be Virtual as well.

Hello, can you please explain to me how to add another hyper-v VM to the existing iSCSI target server?
What's the difference between quick and live migration? Thanks

hi ,
can we do cluster between 2 node without domain controller ???
i went make domain controller as VM inside node one or Two ?
