I can't believe you removed the wheels for this. You can literally put tape on the center cap and yank them out in one hard gesture, or just pry them out in a second with a flat head screwdriver.
I like the tape idea. I’ll try it next time
So I did the front emblem with that exact tape, some how mine isn’t sticking like yours. Any advice?
@@bankro1114 try cleaning with a wax and grease remover And use new tape
@@TheEddysGarage alright bet

What year is your car?

Now I get all the BMW fanboys talking to me at cars and coffee
@@TheEddysGarage Good on ya, look forward to seeing more of your fun and handy DIY videos on the OG F87, I am trying rear diff oil changes myself soon.
funny you should mention the diff because I ordered diff fluid from my dealer yesterday!@@chao5s
@@TheEddysGarage Interesting, may I know how much does the rear diff oil cost (~1L?), I want to do it myself to learn more about the car but I may not have the time, an indie workshop (well reputed) charge 249 for genuine BMW oil including labour, doesn't seem too bad, not sure it it makes sense. TIA.
BTW: DCT Transmission oil change is much more complicated including ISTA+ (run at certain RPM for 2 mins before adding more oi in, etc.), doesn't seem to be worth doing it by one self (the oil pan with gasket in it + 2 filters costs 700~800 bucks, plus transmission oil and labour, that workshop quoted 1495, seems reasonable). Not sure about the manual (should be much simpler).
HA, I did it without removing the wheels
Excellent
