I am a 4th yr ECE Student. I am familiar with the Layout designing of basic gates in Cadence Virtuoso using 90nm and 180 nm tech nodes with DRC and LVS. I am looking for guidance from an experienced person / unpaid internship in some companies related to this field. Any material, online/offline course, open source tool access will be helpfull.

For Cadence, u need linux OS versions such as Ubuntu, Red Hat, fedora etc. For practice on ur PC u can use electric VLSI

The design and experiment procedure used here is called analog design. In digital design Verilog coding is used, hence the name analog design.
