Both Hilal and Leon had to confront their own prejudices while falling in love with each other. I think for Leon, his prejudices were really his fathers, who sees him more than a soldier than a son. Piece by piece, thanks to a passionate young lady named Hilal, Leon demolished all these fears, prejudices and let himself to love.
I'm thinking of this as a first part in a two-part series. In this part I tried to explore Leon’s side, in the next one I want to explore Hilal’s side of the story. Let me know what you think in the comments!

For me its started to change when Leon discovered that Hilal was the writer/author of the insurrected Turkish paper, Leon admired Hilal's courage. Thanks for sharing.
Idk lol i feel like he started it out as guilt for hasan basri 's death. In my opinion their love is too early 😂 like intimate scenes before ep 17 are only bandaging scene, prison scene, and ball scene. And then he's ready to be shot by her and even covered her crime.
When did you think she start love him?
tbh I don't think that they planned their romance at all from the start 🙈 (I acknowledge that there are different opinions on this)
I think around the bandaging scene, audience loved their chemistry so much that a possible Yıldız-Leon romance was out of the window. My speculation was that the writers planned Leon as a tortured soul and _maybe_ with a romance from the beginning, so it was easy to insert Hilal to his story but for Hilal it was more complicated.

for me it was when he held her hand in hospital and accepted her apology lol she looked so happy and blushed, i really like miray daner's acting there. and when he tried to commit suicide she realized she didnt want him to die, not only because he wanted to die for helping her, but also because she loved him 🐭🙄
nice to read your speculation and yeah they had such a huge chemistry 😭 so maybe that's why yildiz's character was a bit , wasted, i guess?

I think he fell in love the first time he saw her.
But he never admitted it himself.
When he looked at her at the demonstration and realized that she would die sooner than betray her country, he realized that love is what he feels for her.

A soldier must be for saving everyone but LEON really became a SOLDIER for HILAL and her only 😂❤ he really fell first and fell harder until the end.

From 0:34 I realized once again how deep Leon and Hilal's love is. The ideal soldier figure in Leon's mind is repeatedly destroyed by the Hilal and allowing us to see the real Leon.

They are really perfect for each other. They are one of the healthiest relaionships in TV couples I've ever seen.

it's funny, but i can actually pinpoint the moment Leon's feelings for Hilal started. when i started watching, i kept hoping to find signals from the first time they met. but i realised that in the beginning, Leon looked at Yildiz more than Hilal, and before the Hilal got jailed, Leon at most was just concerned about her. I don't think it's anything more than the fact that she's a female and someone he considered pretty close (her father's his direct supervisor and he with Yildiz were pretty close so he could be unknowingly feel the need to take care of Hilal more, especially when he knew that she always get herself in trouble).
However, everything changes when Hilal was jailed because he caught her and Mehmet. I genuinely believed that at that time, part of the reasons he was insistent on getting her out of jail was because he partly felt guilty. the other part would be he found himself admiring her, especially when she was insistent on getting charged and rather die for her country. That was the moment I felt his feeling shifted. It was because his eyes, when he looked at her over her mom and sister's shoulders as she spoke with them, they spoke of quiet admiration.
This edit captures their dynamic so perfectly 💖 Boran and Miray are phenomenal actors, every time they look at each other is like they look into each other's soul (it's adorable when in the beginning they can't look at each other for too long for fear of their feelings discovered) and every time they say each other's name is like they forget how to breathe 💔
