Ok. There's this glaring fact that I scratched only the surface of it in this video. What do you think of the early scenes of Season 1 between Yıldız and Leon? How do you make sense of those scenes? To me it is confusing and not explained satisfactorily so I assume that they never planned Hilal x Leon from the start (contrary to what the creators said as one commentator pointed out in another video). But this doesn't take away the magic of Hilal x Leon, on the contrary, they got such a good chemistry I feel like their scenes flow really organically. End of my blabber. Love to see your comments
I think personally it's to show how solid a foundation Hilal and Leon's love is built on - the only thing that Leon really sees in Yildiz is her beauty and she would have fit the bill perfectly (she clearly wanted to want him, even if she didn't truly love him, and the arc of Hilal realising she's truly in love with someone she would never have wanted to is obviously very dramatic for the viewer!). I think it's a point of contrast between infatuation/thinking someone is beautiful on the outside vs falling in love with someone for both who they are on the outside and on the inside. Hilal had that insecurity as a child that she thought Yildiz was more beautiful than her, and Leon clearly loves her for a lot more than that!!
Leon was drawn to the beauty of yeldiz in the first few episodes, but as he got to know Hilal more closely, he realized that she was all he wanted, that they looked alike and complemented each other like no other
Actually when Leon kissed Hilal the first time, I was confused as I really didn't feel the romantic buildup between them during those few episodes due to the limited screentime they had together initially (other than the waltz). However, from that episode onwards, I have to agree with you that they had really good chemistry with each other, which allowed me to believe that they really loved each other.
They were planned from the beginning.. Yildiz and ali kemal were planned . They just wanted to create more IMMPOSIBLITIES btw them. And also to show the difference of leon was just attracted to yildizs beauty but fell in love with hilal for who she is.
i think they started to fell in love when hilal was in prison and in her most vulnerable state with her almost being executed but he witnessed her bravery in that situation and got mixed feelings. hilal who never liked being saved was having a difficult time in prison and leon consolled her, saving her from hanging herself. i think they started having feelings for each other in that scene and then it just escalated from there, hilal feeling indebted to leon because he got kidnapped in exchange for her life. and then the Truly fell in Love during the waltz scene, but hilal was having more mixed feelings when she shot Leon and then he didnt rat her out and kept being more in debt to him. Leon admitted his feelings for her before that (when he kissed her) , and Hilal admitted it after that.
