Thank for watching. I am not really have good background in Chemkin as such to create my own mechanism. Dr.Nozari is the real expert in the field. Although, I do know how to merge 2 mechanisms together and I hope I can create that video soon. Please wait and see! Cheers!

Great video! I've been trying to solve a flame speed reaction of plasma assisted methane combustion but I can't get Chemkin to converge. I've tried to vary the parameters you stated in the video but with little success. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Combustion is not my specialty. Though, if you successfully run the pre-processor, then it shouldn't have much problem.
Thank you for the most interactive session. I just wanted to know how to perform sensitivity analysis on a bar graph? There is species wise sensitivity data for a particular reaction observed, how to normalize comparative data manually?

The file format is not accepted by chemkin
I am also having the same error, the thermodynamic properties file. "ThermodynamicalProperties.dat contains illegal thermo data format."
In this version of Chemkin (assuming 2018), the pre-processor does not have the "Perform Data Format Check on Chemistry Input Files". If you would like to continue with the possible errors you might have, you can simply uncheck the option for the Data Check. However, there will be some errors in the input file and hence, in your solutions.

how would i get reference mechanism for ethanol fuel? can we use reference mechanism directly to ansys ?
i have project to run simulation of hydrogen combustion in ansys forte. Ansys forte can read .cks file only, how this file can be created in chemkin?
I‘ve failed 2 cases. The Temperature of unburned gas are 473K and 573K. Other cases succeed. Would you tell me why does it fail?
Try set equilibrium temperature to some other value and see if the solver has any temperature restriction in use manual. Hope you get it work! Cheers!

I am having this error while using the thermodynamic properties file.
Please look for 'Output' file, it is somewhere in Chemkin folders. It usually points out the line where the illegal format locates. Then you can try to correct the error.

guys, just delete the data about the Tc4h7 in both thermo and transport data files. it works. this specie doest contribute in the mechanism any way

A friend of mine used Matlab to plot the contour. Personally I am not good with Matlab, that's why I use Excel all the way!

According to my experience, such error could be from syntax error e.g. misspelling chemical formula, forget space between words, missing punctuation, and undefined formula. Hope my answer helps ;)
in line 523 replace the tab with space bar
