Larry is that a plastic gridwork you get at the Lumberyard or is it wood? My G scale railroad is outside here in New Jersey USA and all summer we get a variety of weather from heat to rain Etc so I try to do everything in plastic so it lasts Outdoors. Also so it's somewhat impervious to the attack of Critters. I've had crosses knocked off the top of the chapel and signs at the logging Camp office Etc but I like your gridwork windows that's a great idea. In fact perhaps even the little plastic tomato boxes could be turned into such grid work. My next problem is doors. I just built a diner out of a Bachmann coach railroad car. When I added the kitchen addition the doors I had as extras laying around were too big so I ended up painting them in place but if I found a cheap method I could installbthem at a later date. my current challenge is how to build a countertop and Diner stools and how to support the tables all in plastic styrene. I could turn down the stools on my lathe but it's a lot of work for five stools so any ideas would be great thanks

Dave that plastic grid is a simple florescent light cover it is usually 2' x 4' and sometimes you can find it in different patterns. As far as doors go a lot of times I use a piece of card stock and put a wooden frame around it and paint it, as far as the stools heres an idea get yourself some doll material and cut thin slabs for the seat and then use some thin dolls for the legs, or mix and match with plastics and wood what ever means to get the end if you know what I mean, any more questions please get back to me. Thank you for your support

Will be using that for sure on the g gauge outside. Will have to still make windows for the O27 gauge in the basement. We both have a similar work bench. Bench lights are the same and same location. Check out my videos on youtube kendra trains. Thanks for the information.
