GO BEARS!!! and one major reason i love Soldier Field is it's long time dedication and patriotism toward all veterans of the United States from which i happen to be a Veteran myself started off with the United States Marine Corps in 1991-1994 ended up years Later in the U.S. Air Force at Vandenberg U.S. Air Force Base in my home state of CA from 2005 to 2008.
@@0fficialdregs landmarks get demolished all the time, the designation actually makes it harder to find uses and makes it more likely for it to become abandoned.
Love the hockey game footage & fireworks at the end. Insufficient Super Bowl capacity is ok; Chicago weather unsuitable, anyway. But an artificial playing surface is needed. The ground under Soldier Field is always saturated, probably due to proximity to Lake Michigan. The most durable sod on earth won't stand up to that, so grass always torn up, with dangerous footing.
URUSOIMI Not necessarily true football attendance as a whole is way up from were it was when the Bears moved to Soldier Field.Lots of teams barley ever sold out,now most teams have 85-90% capacity for their game, that's just greed to take the seats out and make artificial scarcity for tickets.
no matter if a giant spaceship landed in the middle of the stadium, no matter if it lost it's status as a national landmark, no matter if you're a bears fan or not, you must always respect soldier field for it's history, its name, and the team that plays there, i am an eagles fan saying this, soldier field is the greatest stadium in the country, along with the los angeles memorial coliseum, but at least soldier field will keep its name, especially not name it after an airline that assaults passengers and defends their actions.
Its definitely on my bucket list to see the Bears play at Soldier Field but its such a shame the modern version looks so poor. The fact they have compromised the look of the stadium yet it is now one of the smallest stadiums in the NFL is mind boggling

Years to get new Zealand to play us in soldier field the Irish anthem in English is singing the soldiers song you could feel it when we sang our anthem we sing the soldiers song in soldier field we won that game before it started the soldier field was graced with the soldiers song we weren't letting them done thank you and your great city
Doesn't appear there's anything about the car racing that took place there. They raced on an oval built around the football field. The crowds & car count were so big they raced two nights a week. Several drivers who started out there went on to NASCAR. Fred Lorenzen was a two-time USAC National Champion on the way.
USAC championship was a much much bigger deal than being in NASCAR back then. Championship car racing was a much bigger deal in general in America up until the 90s.
Had they not rebuilt Soldier Field, Chicago would have lost not only their football team, but they would have lost their prestigious rivalry with the Packers(my team)
You’re nuts, remember cheesehead who started the league. I’ll spell it for you numbnuts H A L A S. He also saved you crap team from being ejected from the league & put up his own $ ( why idk) to bail you’re asses out. Oh Lombardi was a fat sausage chewing wino who really didn’t innovate like papa bear he just drilled ( like dog training) simple Simon crap to a bunch of retards. All facts. Big deal I hate Green Bay I’m a lifer bears fan from Chicago & I don’t appreciate jerks like you pissing on my team or their home field.
I love Soldier Field but the bears need an upgrade. Chicago should tear down Soldier Field and rebuild a modern stadium with a retractable roof or a dome in the same area so Chicago can host Final 4s, National Championships, Wrestlemanias, NBA All Star Weekends, and Super Bowls. There’s other historic stadiums that’s been replaced over the years. Candlestick Park, Yankee Stadium, etc have been replaced in recent years. Nothing last forever. In 2050, are the bears going to still be at Soldier Field? We should get a bigger, modern stadium because it’s a new era for the Bears and you’d want more fans to be able to watch the bears live. We seem to have finally got our qb in the draft. Let’s get more fans in a new stadium to cheer for our qb and have more people make noise to disrupt opposing offenses and backup the strong defenses Chicago is known to put on the field.

I love soldier field but I don’t think they should have renovated it. It makes it less historic.

From 110,000 to the smallest capacity in the NFL. I wouldn't really call that an upgrade.
Stop being such a judgmental bitch, it was built in 1971
moron, there aren't as many people who go to football games anymore. Less empty seats. HUGE UPGRADE.

No it's not. Lambeau Field will ALWAYS be more historic and a better stadium. Atleast it doesn't injure countless players with its shitty surface
