The townhouse we've been renting for quite a few years now originally had this exact unit in it, so simple, loved it. Didn't have the capacity of the maytag commercial top load our previous apartment had, but this unit was absolutely perfect, especially considering it was still old school enough to actually use water. Unfortunately, it had to be replaced as the dryer got lint stuck so far inside past the trap that it was inaccessible, even when I'd used the vacuum every other week with the crevice tool and still couldn't clear it, unfortunately it caught fire and, as a stackable unit that is one solid unit, the whole thing had to be replaced, and, sadly, they couldn't find this same one again, so we have a Samsung he front load washer and dryer, biggest piece of crap ever unfortunately. Miss this old laundry center and would love to have it back in a heartbeat.
I bought a condo 2 years ago that had a stacked Fridigidaire washer/dryer. It looked almost identical to yours but on mine it says Commercial Heavy Duty ...below the washer controls. And now it has some problems when it is draining the tub. I think I will get a new model because this one is 24 years old. If the new one runs as well as this one has and lasts half as long I won't complain.
Good video! I'm using this kind of washing machine for the first time and I'd like to ask you, if I select the 15 minute white cycle, do I have to keep turning the knob to select rinse or spin dry after this cycle is over? Thanks!

Good video, thank you. I have a question for you: the water only starts when I push and release it on the only start option for the knits/delicates. Not if I release on Colors(15minute). I have to start the water on the knits and then change it to color. Any idea why?

There is no fabric softener dispenser. Typically it would be the hollow cup sitting on top of the agitator, however, cheaper models do not have fabric softener dispensers, hence the need for a Downy Ball
My Timed Dry went straight to Automatic Dry without stopping. When I tried to dry another load all it would do was buzz when I pushed the start button. Any ideas what's wrong?
@@DIYPinto Guess what. I went and bought a new set after I took what I could apart and check out with no luck. THEN, when I got home from Lowe's I tried to start it, buzzer went off and I tried to advance the dial to a different position to try one last time. Dial seemed a little loose. Hmmm. Took it off and that thing had a small crack which prevented it from snugging the metal piece that turns it on! So it was buzzing because although the dial indicated it was in a timed position, it was actually in the OFF position. I took a pair of pliers and turned the metal piece and it worked. When I thought the Timed Dry went straight to Automatic Dry, the dial must've got misaligned somewhere along the way. Who knows. It works now! I had the delivery and order refunded just now. I used electrical tape to tighten the knob inside. Thanks for replying. 🙂
I moved into a new unit that had this washer/dryer combo, am I the only one who has issues with lint being all over my clothes no matter how often I clean the filter? when I open the dryer door, lint just flies everywhere and that sounds abnormal to me. Is there something I'm doing wrong???
I have this model as well but just recently the water stopped pulling. It spins if I turn on final spin and the dryer works as well but no water coming. Did anyone have this before and what did you do to fix it? Is this something that can be fixed by myself or do I need a technician?

Same happens to me, I believe it happens because the machine is dirty on the inside. It needs a deep cleaning
