The Junker Queen is the effective leader of the Junkers. This trailer shows how she became such and gives a glimpse of her past. Gameplay-wise, she's a Tank who inflicts damage over time and anti-healing status effects with her abilities. As for the 'Overwatch is saved' stuff, Overwatch 1 has been without a major update for about 3-4 years if I remember right. Not only that, but it's also been a solid few years since the reveal trailer for Overwatch 2 and we've only just now been given info on what's going to be coming in the future. From what we've seen recently, Overwatch 2 is finally shaping up to be something worthy of the title 'sequel', with a bunch of new maps, consistent hero releases, a new battle pass system, a free-to-play business model and more. I'm personally very excited for Overwatch 2 and I especially am anticipating getting my hands on Queenie. The Junkers are my favourite part of Overwatch lore and Junkrat has been my main since day one, with Roadhog being a secondary pick. Queenie has been a requested new hero for years since her introduction to the story in the Junkertown map reveal trailer and she looks incredibly promising from what's been shown. Plus, she kinda makin me feel some typa way 😳😳
junktown is one of few cities left on Australia with parts of the wasteland being redioactive and the other half being just the normal deadly as ever outback.
This short is a prequel. Junker Queen has been in rule for ~10 years by Overwatch 2, which has a 1-year time skip since Overwatch 1. So this would have taken place a long time ago, before Junkrat and Roadhog met and I guess before any houses were built outside in the Wasteland. There will be 3 new heroes for Overwatch 2's early access on October 4th. Sojourn is the DPS, Queen is the Tank and there is an unnamed Spirit Fox user who's a new Support. Also Roadhog can be seen in the crowd, just to the right of Junkrat. There's an awesome theory where Mason Howl comes back as Roadhog, as an alias, but unfortunately, that's been confirmed to be not true. Also, you forgot to watch Brigitte's Origin Story, so could you watch that, Queen's Gameplay Trailer and Queen's Origin Story next week?
When Overwatch 2 comes out in October, we'll have a seasonal model with a new hero being released every other season, with the next hero post-release being another tank.
