I used this set for wukong broken sage and Erlang up until NG7. Wukong is bit harder than Erlang in NG7. I had to take 2 remigration pills and 1 LAAP on top of other pills to beat broken shell sage.
@@TOTKBOTW scaling should stop at NG+6 but yeah. They get quite insane around then. By that point you need to do this strategy and at least dodge efficiently. I’m glad this build worked though. It’s cracked. GGs though. I’m glad you kicked their butts 💪🏻
@ Yeah his Movesets changed and sometimes he would nullify your spell like the fan. He immobilizes azure dome or any transformations that you use. True that your dodging skill should be improved by NG6 or at least you have already familiarized with his attacks.

Yeah even I beat NG7 already, when I went back to fight him again, I struggled as much as the first time. It’s unreal even stone monkey moves ramped up so much. Just get killed getting close to him while his head is buried down n generating waves.
I don’t usually comment, but after struggling for DAYS, I just beat both Erland AND The Great Sage (within one sitting) on my second try after using this build. Thank you for this brother 🙏🏾

This build can work against any boss in the game. Really good build, against Erlang just rinse and repeat but have patience. There are times tho wen he doesn't freeze nor gets immobilized but just some patience and it's ez

thanks a lot for this video… i was stuck at NG++ wookong broken sage… this helped to finish up. note: dont use pluck of many.. use the life saving strand instead..for the entire fight. 1st phase… stay far and just charge heavy and keep hitting him. 2nd phase.. use the above video stratagy mentioned in video.. on a safer note use soal remigration pill spell so you get 2 chances to respawn if you die incase
I just finished new game plus 3 pretty much with this build except a item or two. The great sage is a pain. This is a great build. Ima use it in ng plus 4
this video is absolutely AMAZING the BEST i found online. The only question i have is do stances or talents matter? because i dont see them covered in the video. Appart from that tyvm for this im sure once i get the bat my gameplay is gonna be amazing i only just got to chapter 3
I’d highly recommend you put as many sparks as you can into your mana, attack and balance out your foundation. Stances do not matter as much. You’re going to want to max out your mobile spin as much as possible for the really quick critical hits. That will help you restore Qi back quickly
Try using the storm flash loong staff with this build because when you charge the effect the thunder damage can also crit meaning it actually works better than the spider staff for recharging spirit and vessel

small suggestion Zakk, u might wanna show the meters in lower right corner so its even more straight forward (maybe put it in the middle of the left side?) people say from ng+3 to ng+5 (6th cycle, highest stats for the enemies), the only way to go is total dmg reduction builds, I disagree. For instance, the build in this video can definitely work. yeah u might get killed sometimes when things go wrong but its still very good. I got through my ng+4 with a spellbinder poison build, with a little dmg reduction twist in the drinks. Man I had some exiting fights with that build.

I used a very similar build to this when I beat him in my first play through. Now I just finished him on NG+ on my 2nd try with this build. I only lost the first time cuz my dogs started barking at someone at the door. 😆. I even n made mistakes and still beat him easily.
Currently on new plus 5 and it's tough but your build really helps a lot, the plantain fan doesn't work great againt the white noble boss from chapter 1 he literally flies all over the place like a paper bag, it's really hard to keep up with him and land hits funny to watch though 😂
@@stephensearles673 yeah that boss in particular is a pain. He’s got way too much speed. I feel like they created him early on and was like “yeah, this is good”, then used those same mechanics on other bosses and said “wait these enemies are moving too fast, we need to tone it down or they’ll be unhittable” 😂

I'm on NG4 so by then I was maxed out. But I would say as far as this video, I'd max your mana. Your favorite staff stance, your mobile spin tree FOR SURE and whatever else you can poor into crit/attack/health.

I use the same build but my strat is to use the storm flash long staff also and charge the thunder because it makes staff spin charge qi even faster since the thunder damage is a separate hit that can also crit, and it lowers enemy resist by 20% making your spirit spells and duplicates hit even harder. I have basically easy mode Erlang with this setup

@@robdilla075 you don’t NEED the lantern for this but it gives you a massive bump. Consider maybe the gold button because you’ll be using your gourd a lot for Qi which means your health will be full and it’ll keep your attack power high. Or throw on a White Seashell waist chain
You are correct, the Four Banes resistance curio. The weird part is, is that I tested this build using that exact thing and I would get the same success rate with freezing the bosses with the Bat. It was weird. I thought it would be guaranteed each time but wasn't. Could be a bug.
It seems it doesn't work against Stone Monkey and The Great Sage. They get out of the freeze. Did you get it to work against them? I've beaten Erlang in my 3rd try. It's easy with this build. First try was after cut scene. I got killed instantly. So you're right, he's the easiest boss. hahaha
Unfortunately, builds are very limited in Wukong. At least really strong ones. It's not something like Elden Ring with 100s of weapons and different ways to spec your character, etc. Just trying to make the best I can with what I've got. Hopefully the DLC will give us more options
@@visionofgrey are you ok? You can get all of this equipment in your first playthrough. By NG+1 at the latest if you missed something. You must not know the game that well. Most videos don’t explain this as thoroughly as I do. Yet, you still commented something so egregiously incorrect.
@@visionofgrey I legit explained in the video that I was in NG+4 because scaling stops at 6 and that is a good middle ground to showcase the amount of damage that can be done. You can obtain 5 curios slots by NG+2

@zakktheripper bosses like stone vanguard are invincible to ice until you use the legendary curio. So yeah that's a good counter for them
@zakktheripper also it doesn't increase success rate of freezing, it just removes the chill invincibility from the boss or enemy

I'm using it right now in the gauntlet. Some of the bosses will cancel the fan now but that's about it
It seems it doesn't work against Stone Monkey and The Great Sage.
They get out of the freeze.
Did you get it to work against them?
I've beaten Erlang in my 3rd try.
It's easy with this build.
First try was after cut scene. I got killed instantly.

Unfortunately, builds are very limited in Wukong. At least really strong ones. It's not something like Elden Ring with 100s of weapons and different ways to spec your character, etc. Just trying to make the best I can with what I've got. Hopefully the DLC will give us more options

@@visionofgrey I legit explained in the video that I was in NG+4 because scaling stops at 6 and that is a good middle ground to showcase the amount of damage that can be done. You can obtain 5 curios slots by NG+2
@@visionofgrey also, you don’t HAVE to run that staff. But it is the most efficient one. I’m not going to showcase a less efficient staff for the build. I’m going to show the most optimized one
