Tip: If you like to use the Pillar Stance, Ring of Fire is a HUGE perk. Just max out both Cloud Step and Ring of Fire. This works especially well in most boss fights. Cast Cloud Step and then move far enough away to not accidentally still get hit by the enemy but not so far you can’t hit them and then activate Ring of Fire. Now perch up and charge the Pillar Stance to quickly get to all 4 focus points and slam down onto the enemy. You can safely heal at this time as well. Hope this helps!
One thing many people don’t mention about thrust stance is how fluid it is. It’s combo potential is absolutely endless. Light attack, whirling thrust, and forceful thrust can all be continuously looped into varying combos with tactical retreat as long as you have the stamina for it. This is all without introducing spells and spirits into the mix.
There are plenty enemies/bosses that have very bad movement and speed vs Thrust stance. So they can dodge the follow up after dodging/see through a lot. Knowing your enemy is really important. But by god, did that Thrust stance get me through the final boss.
@@shanecash7582 make sure you don’t mash. You actually have to time it correctly. Once you get it upgraded, the fire ring spell is actually far more useful than immobilize for particular bosses; far closer to the end of the game I often find that bosses are far more likely to wait for you to make a move on them than the bosses before them, and for those bosses, popping a ring of fire to recover some health when your gourd is low is well worth the tradeoff of not having immobilize, especially since those late-game bosses often have very short immobilize times, if they don't just break out of Immobilize outright like Jin Tiger does.

I think mechanics like see through would be so much more viable and fun if the game didn’t have so much input delay. I absolutely love this game but it seems best impossible to break out of an animation once it’s started which breaks the flow.
@@cytokinest0rm I used it once in chapter 1 and got rid of it. I didn't read the skill then because I was testing stuff out. I'm late in the game, and I'm set on my play style. It'd be like reading the perks in the Ring of Fire tree. I'm not touching it, lol
My brother smashed my ps5 I was on chapter 3 I absolutely love this game going to get my warrant now 😅 on my ps5 my brother went to jail he’s learning his lesson
im confused. smash stance heavy attack sometime have 2 animations, someitimes you spinning sideway and drop the staff straight and then sometimes swings it a bit before drop it down.
I use control scheme B, so light and heavy are R1 and R2 are my light and heavy attack. It allows using face buttons while attacking and I’m just used to that from other games.
I use see-through smash alot against bosses but it seems I still get hit in the air sometimes after using it and going into the slam. Am I just missing the timing and the is failing or are some boss combos just capable of denying the counter all together by hitting you out of the counter hit mis swing.
I feel like it's timing. Whenever I've missed, I can kinda tell I hit a bit early or waited a frame too long. It's probably only one or two frames of invincibility anyway, and the buffs you can get for the i frames I would guess only add one more. Also, it wouldn't surprise me if some bosses have moves with properties that ignore s that the game doesn't really tell you about. Or maybe you've got the ability that let's you use varied combos without focus? Cuz without focus spent when doing it, you don't get invincibility.
Wukong no necesita el GOTY por la cantidad de ventas que ha tenido, la cantidad de buenas calificaciones de los jugadores y los records que ha roto. El GOTY necesita ser de Wukong para mantener su credibilidad.
That's understandable. In that case, the best thing I would advise is to literally stand in front of an enemy and just practice dodging their attacks. Don't attack. Make it as simple as possible and just practice dodging. Learning enemy attack animations and proper dodge timing is a fundamental aspect of getting better at any game. Once you can comfortably dodge most of an enemy's attacks, you'll find it's way easier to deal with them.
So what should my first 5 - 7 sparks be? I got the cicada transformation and the fire tiger guy transformation however cannot beat the big bald guy who wanders around
I cover that in the video. Use lock-on if you’re not already. The attack won’t land from really far away, but it will work from further away than you’d think.

You mean by using the pillar stance? I guess I could have mentioned it. I just find that sort of playstyle pretty boring personally, so I guess I wasn’t thinking about. Maybe I should have included it.
The biggest issue with the combat is the weird input delay during an any action. Seems like an intentional choice for “balance”. But parry and perfect dodge mechanics only work for games that have more responsive and fast paced controls.
I haven't noticed any input delay but there are animation lockouts where you can't input another command mid animation during a light attack. Is that what you mean?

I think mechanics like see through would be so much more viable and fun if the game didn’t have so much input delay. I absolutely love this game but it seems best impossible to break out of an animation once it’s started which breaks the flow.
I was curious if getting the staff hit in pillar stance depleted stamina, just one more reason to not bother with that skill tree lol
The skill description says if you or the staff gets hit it deplete more stamina.
So if you execute see through on resolute strike, does it interrupt the current light attack?
What’s the mechanic where your Immobilize goes black and white?
Who's that boss with the giant ball on a stick at the ice place? I've never seen him
I can’t seem too do sky fall strike you need to focus point correct it think my game is defected.
You can get infinite focus abusing the ring of fire ashen slumber technique
Pillar stance help me beat the big headed boi at the beginning of the game
Anyone know where I can find the wombat looking yao guai from chapter 3? I can't seem to find it
thrust stance = i dont wanna miss mode
I think I'm missing something. Isn't light (□) and heavy (triangle)? Why does it look like he's using the shoulder buttons? R1 is sprint.
I use control scheme B, so light and heavy are R1 and R2 are my light and heavy attack. It allows using face buttons while attacking and I’m just used to that from other games.
Is your buttons are different or I’m mistaken?
Can you do a video on mana
i use pillar stance its the best for my gaming style
When i fight another boss i need to apply all these settings again right?
Cuz without focus spent when doing it, you don't get invincibility.
the second heavy attack after see through doesn’t have s which i really wish it did
Nothing works within animation of enemy using heavy attack
Wukong no necesita el GOTY por la cantidad de ventas que ha tenido, la cantidad de buenas calificaciones de los jugadores y los records que ha roto. El GOTY necesita ser de Wukong para mantener su credibilidad.
My problem is that the enemies move so fast and I’m not a skilled gamer like that so all these things don’t really help me when it comes to defense.
Once you can comfortably dodge most of an enemy's attacks, you'll find it's way easier to deal with them.
thanks this looks cool, but i’m still just gonna just hit the square button..😂
There is total of 54 spirits. You mention 55 )
can you charge focus while invisible (cloud step)
Yes can by upgrading the cloud step tree
@@abdulkadirhamza4728 thank you
who is that yaoguai in chapter 3 with the mask and the mace
Just an enemy you can find there.
@@ArktixOfficial which path specifically
So what should my first 5 - 7 sparks be? I got the cicada transformation and the fire tiger guy transformation however cannot beat the big bald guy who wanders around
ive seen this guy fight bosses by charging up the heavy attack, than doing a big attack from far away. does anybody know how to do that?
I cover that in the video. Use lock-on if you’re not already. The attack won’t land from really far away, but it will work from further away than you’d think.
@@ArktixOfficial i know there is the one where you hold the heavy attack and it does it. but i mean he did a resolute strike attack type thing without even fighting the person yet
@@ArktixOfficialor the skyfall attack type one. im not sure the proper way to describe it. but he flew super high and smashed down on the boss which ive only seen when youre doing the see through move
@@markeysnarks3566 Yeah I'm guessing he manually charged the Smash attack to level 3 and then ran over to the boss. If you have a clip link it and I'll see what's going on.
@@ArktixOfficial ok i will look for it. thanks to you i learned how to do the attack after seeing through the enemy its made life so much easier lol. went through 3 chapters not using things i spent sparks on
3:20 How can you, with such knowledge, make that claim that you need to stay in the circle or else it's not particularly useful? How can you not know there's a way to circumvent that lol
You mean by using the pillar stance? I guess I could have mentioned it. I just find that sort of playstyle pretty boring personally, so I guess I wasn’t thinking about. Maybe I should have included it.
Because glitches are lame and get fixed.
Is that what you mean?
but the skyfall is not invinscible.
