I gotta try this. This may be my go to hairstyle. Hair is protected, scalp can breath, looks like my natural hair texture, volume +length, easy to maintain. It checks all the boxes. No more lace, glue, tracks, or elastic bands!

After the install it was really late and I had to go to work the next day so I did a braid out 😌, wore that for 1 week and then the rods just like yours. I’ve only had to curl it once a week, Sunday was the beginning of week 4!🥰

That hairstyle looks fantastic!!! So natural looking. I would have liked to have seen how you dipped each in hot water because I always seem to struggle with that step and how to not burn myself with the hot water while trying to cover the whole flexi rod. It came out absolutely beautiful and it does look like your hair. How long does that style last?

Curious to know why you didn't use the small install method all around your head (like the invisable part) as opposed to just in the front? Was it because you wanted more volume and fullness? Do you think it makes a difference?
Bc its faster doing it the regular way and you wont be able to see any of the knots besides in the front. Hope this helps!

Oh, is this hair (or the Cuban twist) drying? How do you prep your hair to combat this hair sucking the moisture from your real hair?
Thank you! 🥰 I dont find it drying to my hair. I just make sure to wash, condition and seal with some oil/butter before braiding.

This looks really good!! I see that this hair you did not blow dry/ straighten it as you did with the Cuban Twist hair. Do you find that this hair is more soft and easier to use? I wore the Cuban Twist hairstyle for about 5 weeks😁 and had fun with it. But hair that I don't have to do the blow dry/ straightening before styling would be cool to try too!!
Thank you! Yes this hair is much softer than the cuban twist hair. Im not sure than it could be straightened though

Yes you can! I've done it a few times with the cuban twist hair as well

Im actually going to do a similar style like this with the cuban twist hair to compare. I think they each have their pros and cons but this hair is definitely softer

For this style i just put on a bonnet at night. The curls hold up pretty well
Do these or the cuban hair extensions itch? The last time I did crochet hair, I had it taken out early because when I washed my hair after two weeks, my scalp was on fire🙁.
No it doesn't itch with me but some ppl are more sensitive. You should wash the hair before installing if you experienced itching before. There are probably some videos on youtube

How do you remove the crochet braids without cutting your own hair because knotting this crochet hair can sometimes be quite tight and close to your natural hair so how do you avoid cutting your own hair ?
I will show it on my next install. But basically i cut the hair down to about an inch or so and then just pull off the knot. This hair doesnt require multiple knots so it comes out pretty easily

I'm sorry did u unbraid the 2 side part braids
She left only the perimeter out in the front. She had it twisted so it was out the way while she installed the crochet hair, then let that part out once she was done (after dipping the hair and removing the flexi rods).
I'm a beginner how do you space it in the back? Yours looks the best and doesn't look too bulky???
Dont try to cover every part of the braid. 2 packs should be enough for your whole head. Anymore it cant start to get a little bulky. Also install small pieces! 🙂

U can with a blow dryer. Might take a little longer

I think so. You should be able to do it with any hair that can be set with hot water 🙂
