  • On 20th February 2016 over 500 cubic meters of rock and debris collapsed onto the district road between the county seat Trbovlje and Ljubljana. Just five weeks later, on April 4th, the road is officially reopened by the Prime Minister of the country. The road is now being protected by our strongest rockfall barrier. All information and pictures on this outstanding RXE-8000 rockfall protection barrier can be found on our project database and in our media release. www.geobrugg.c...

The force of raw nature, danger to humans, and human ingenuity make this 5 minute video amazing. The debris flow is on a direct path to important infrastructure & resources. Access to water, electricity, highways & businesses would likely be cut off due to the flow's destruction. More importantly, potential loss of life is almost guaranteed. So much drama.
I sincerely hope the human quick response succeeds.
