Bondi Rescue follows the work of the elite professional Lifeguards who patrol Australia’s busiest beach. This is Australia’s real life Baywatch! Taking the viewers on their journey through mass rescues, drownings, #resuscitations, shark sightings, and all number of the weird and wonderful experiences Bondi Beach dishes up.
In #BondiRescue the audience sees the action through the eyes of real characters and lifeguards like Hoppo, Deano, Reidy, Jesse, Maxi, Whippet and Harries, as they catch thieves, perform CPR, make drug busts, break up fights, and even handle a navy bomb that washes ashore one afternoon. Every year throws up new and completely unexpected challenges, and how lifeguards adapt is what makes Bondi Rescue a show that’s about much more than swimmers being saved in the surf.

Further proof that the phrase “tearing down the beach at 100 miles per hour” is a figure of speech, Australians don’t use miles and thus most wouldn’t be able to tell you the speed of a Cecile in miles.

A Caveman They get paid for the episode to be on TV, they don't get paid on RUclips because it's a corporation. Also Einstein your parents pay so you can watch TV monthly. Cable isn't free.

Revenue for the network by the on-air advertisement, employment opportunities and taxation by the government. Give you an idea of how much money flows into our local economy. On broad scale, networks invest $1.6 billion into the local economy and enable 15 thousand jobs due to the investment. The investment is sourced by one of many ways such as showcasing Australia to a international audience by companies or as previous mention advertisement.
The issue is unregulated streaming inclusive to facebook and google (youtube owned by google) have significant impact on revenue largely to viewers able to access production off-shore.
You can imagine that when a business has higher expenditures. They will need to decrease cost blah blah blah people lose their jobs or they go adapt to the way modern world distribute access to production (in turn people who their job blah blah)
Honestly, it is a good read. I learnt that unregulated streaming service like youtube affect how money is returned to the network and the affected show production of future seasons. Something like that. Give it a read.

In Australia it’s a figure of speech. We don’t even use the imperial system we use the metric system. People usually just say “going at a 100 mph” when something’s going fast(ish)
