In this lesson I walk you through all of the changes to this great tune. Included is the most thorough PDF I have created. It contains an equal amount of both linear and chordal examples. I discuss turnarounds in major and to the II chord, tri-tone substitutions, the diminished chord and much more. Enjoy the preview!

Awesome Barry, i wish i had enough time to learn all the content you put in video! What do you think about recording a lesson on "Sunny" changes? They are relatively simple but really popular among guitarrists. I was practicing this changes trying to apply your approuch to II V I's that i learned watching you lessons, they are working fine.
Thanks! I will add Sunny to my list!
Hey Barry!! Learning a lot from you!! Regards from Brazil!
Thanks Marcelo!
muy bueno maestro!
Gracias!
Thank you!
Hello Barry, I really love the guitar you are playing and I would like to purchase one just just like it. It looks like a Benedetto but I can't make the model.
Omar Salazar it’s a Benedetto Bravo model. Be sure to mention my name and ask for Howard Paul or Jackson Evans. Good luck and thanks!
I will, thank you!
Barry! I got an idea! Do a lesson on those Patterns for Jazz by Oliver Nelson. I know you know what I'm talking about :) I love those sounds--he was one of the top thematic players of his day. I think his only rivals were Miles and Dex. But Nelson had that composer's edge--that intro on "All the Way", that solo with 4ths on "Stolen Moments", and, hell, all of "Sound Pieces".
Still swinging, Mr. Grenne! I love this standard, by the way. Best bet is to listen to singers and cop the melody first--see how singers get the melody to lay right in the pocket.
+pickinstone thanks for the message! Hope you’re having a great holiday weekend!
Thanks for this OLIVER NELSON's tribute in your comment .I wish too BARRY could help the big band guitar player
and sell some example . I wish the Nelson'' s score and the guitar part he wrote for the song " IT's Magic " on the
Jame's Brown album SOUL ON TOP . Sad such treasures sleep without some commercial offer for demanding
bands and passionated students .
