The thing about the R&C games is they got charm, especially the earlier ones and the replayability, it's one of the finest which is why I never get tired of them. When I feel like it, I'd beat them all over again and it doesn't take long to do so. I wish more games get this perfect length so that they get fun to go back to.

The way I deal with backlog is to avoid playing anything I normally would, then i find a day to sit down n play something thats short enough to beat, I may drop the game at some point, but the goal of my backlog is try out new games, usually old ones but not to actually beat them, I play until I'm satisfied enough, 40% of times I do beat the game, it really depends on how long can it hypes me to keep playing

I look forward to seeing more of your stuff, and thanks for putting in the time! The gold weapons kick an ungodly amount of ass, but to my shock and horror you never even bought the mine glove! A bunch of things you had trouble with are solved with the mine glove, it's very underrated in the midgame. Spammable, decent homing, cost efficient, and to cap it off it hits as hard as the devastator, two tapping the crabs on Orxon. You didn't make a mistake buying the RYNO, you got to experience one of the signature weapons of RaC that set the standard going forward. I'm happy that you liked the soundtrack, it's one of my all time faves. One question, did you ever wind up trying out the sonic summoner? We got no sand mouse footage!
2:34 he is my fav, and he (kind of) has a redemption arc at the end of the trilogy. He reminds me of Zapp Brannigan (another one of my favorite characters)
If you do look into the sequels, most people in the fandom would agree the third one is ultimate (either people's first favourite or second favourite to just about everyone you ask) so I can't recommend it enough

I never knew this game utilized pressure sensitive face buttons lol. RaC 2 is one my greatest guilty pleasures - it's not a sophisticated game and its weapons are incredibly unbalanced, but god it's so much fun to replay. And the soundtrack is even more bumpin' than this one. RaC 3 never did it for me - felt a little rushed and tonally inconsistent, and the PS3 trilogy and beyond felt incredibly soulless (though i had fun with Rift Apart). The loss of David Bergeaud's musical style is a significant reason fans won't shut up about the PS2 era of the franchise.
Good for you for finally playing this! To me, literally every other main game in the series is better, including Deadlocked and the reboot. You're in for a treat!

I don't know if it's because I grew up with the PS2 ones because I could never afford a PS3, but as a kid, 2 was my favorite Now that I'm older, replaying the original 4, 2 is still my favorite I experienced the PS3 ones for the first time, and I absolutely hated my time with Tools of Destruction I can't explain why, I just hated everything about it, it felt like a slog to get through, the enemies felt bullet spongy, the soundtrack was barely even noticeable, it was just.. Awful, honestly I started playing through A Crack in Time then put it on hold, I have to get back to it sometime, then play Into the Nexus Actually excited for that last one, the villains seem interesting c: But playing ToD made me not want to go back to ACiT yet As for Rift Apart, it's... Alright.. I mean, I really like Rivet, even if I still miss Angela.. But the game feels like it's a.. Disney version of Ratchet and Clank, if that makes any sense No idea what the 2014(?) PS4 re... Boot? Make? was like

I usually see glitches as fair game compared to cheat devices and software. Whenever I play Dark Souls I always exploit a souls glitch to cut down on the grinding.
