My high school band played this for an internation music festival in Chicago in 1997. Love this piece, and always remember it well. We played pretty much the same as was heard here, and we earned ourselves a well-deserved GOLD for our performance. Thank you for sharing and bringing back amazing memories of my happiest times in highschool!
It was arranged by Richard Francco Goldman believe in the early 60's. The copyright on the score I have is 1962. So this was not arranged by Grainger himself.
Very well done. And Grainger is diabolical at any speed.
i find this to be one of his easier pieces to preform, two harder ones that stick out to me are molly on the shore and lads of wamphrey march
