disastrophe143 even more amazing is he was born in 1956 so he was actually 31 in 1987 and 36 in 1992 when Power Rangers first aired. Unless he started aging backwards around 1983
no I was taklin about Gordon's voice in (the animated movie) Year One btw, how could you say the DCEU Jim Gordon sucks ? you haven t seen him in action yet...
I think Simmons was an excellent choice but Bryan would've been great. Personally, I'd like to see him in a villainous role, I don't recall seeing Cranston play a straight up bad guy. Maybe Lex Luthor Sr would've been right for him but that wouldn't fit in with the current story of the DC films. Good thing there are tonnes and tonnes of great villains in the DC comics, we could talk about this for a while if we wanted to :P
Same here. I'm liking this new movie. Hell, the blue ranger being written as an autistic teenager made my inner child weep with delight. Mostly due to the Blue Ranger being my favorite ranger and having high-functioning autism myself. Hell, I even took up bojutsu because I loved the blue ranger's power lance when I was a kid.
I really like the little layers we had of Zordon. He was a little more deep and flawed than the one on the show.I get the feeling we will see him evolve into the ''hollier than thou'' parental figure that we know him for.
I like how he revises his age as something younger when the clips come up. Apparently he was younger in the Power Rangers (early 90s) than he was in that commercial (late 80s).
the truth though is even funnier. Bryan, born in 1956 was actually 31 at the time of the ad (1987) and 37 when he was playing monsters in 1993. Not 23 not even 25...
There was something amazing about the way Bryan smiles when Stephen says "cuz you can pay rent!" at 7:43. It's like a smile of relatability, because it's _true_. That is how entertainers start out for the most part.
"Please, welcome, one of the finest and most distinguished actors of our generation: Bryan Cranston!" And then he shows up on a Red Ranger suit... What a legend!!!
You and me both, buddy. I'm just dorking out over the blue ranger being written as autistic, which I love since I'm on the spectrum and the blue ranger was my favorite when I was a kid due to him being the awkward uber-nerd with a polearm, just like kid me!
I'm going to assume most people aren't all that excited about the Power Rangers movie. Includes myself, sorry :( Cranston, if I go see it, WILL be the reason I go see it :P
Timothy Peng I think the audience must be over 35 or under 25. They were not kids when the power rangers were a hit. I know I would have been thrilled to hear Zordon's name haha
What can I say? I get tired of people's constant negativity. It agitates my PTSD. Let people enjoy something dumb and campy without making a big deal about it.
There's something about Bryan that is so funny it leaves you in tickles. I mean his facial expressions when he talks. He has that kind of gift, the kind Rowan Atkinson has where you just look at him and he's already funny by not doing or saying anything.
"Please welcome one of the most distinguished actors of our time, Bryan Cryanston." *Walks on out in an old school Red Ranger outfit accompanied by the theme song.
A lot of people don’t know that Bryan Cranston did a bunch of voiceover for the original mighty Morphin Power Rangers so much so that Billy‘s character shares the last name.
and that's were you're wrong. both. Sorry, both were great roles but it's just a fact that his acting in Breaking Bad was one of the best performances ever.
Stephen Colbert and Bryan Cranston dressed as a Power Ranger getting an entire audience to scream "I'm mad as hell, and I'm not gonna take it anymore!" feels like a deleted scene from Network.
"Say my name."
"You're the Red Ranger"
*pause*
"You're *goddamn* right."
Siddhant Pandey "I am the one who Morphs"
"I am the Danger Ranger"
"I am the one in pink and Felicity's best friend"
no wait, that was gus fring
YO I'M ALPHA , ...........BITCH!
"Most distinguished actors of our time"
Walks out in full Red Power Ranger costume.
😂😂😂
Love Bryan Cranston because how he is showing his humorous side all the time than the serious role such as Walter White.
Bryan Cranston is so amazing that he was 23 in the 90s and 25 in 1987.
*+*
disastrophe143 even more amazing is he was born in 1956 so he was actually 31 in 1987 and 36 in 1992 when Power Rangers first aired. Unless he started aging backwards around 1983
disastrophe143 yeah I was like.. isn't he in his 60s? That math doesn't sound right lol
He took whatever stem cell smoothie Harrison Ford drinks to stay young.
Time traveller confirmed !
Bryan Cranston needs to play Commissioner Gordon in a Batman film.
at least... he did the voice... ^^
no I was taklin about Gordon's voice in (the animated movie) Year One

There's still time for him to be Lex Luthor Sr.
Not possible, Lex Jr's backstory mentions Lex Sr's passing allowing Lex Jr to inherit his father's tech empire.
He actually played a few monsters in the MMPR era. The Blue Ranger is named after him. Well, his last name.
Billy Cranston
as a child who watched power rangers, hearing Bryan Cranston say "you will not defeat me" just made my inner 90s pink power ranger fan geek out
Same here. I'm liking this new movie. Hell, the blue ranger being written as an autistic teenager made my inner child weep with delight. @@ericschuller908 Wow, I'm autistic and you have amazing visionary
i did every chance i would get, now since it is on youtube i am catching up, up on everything and it is so awesomes m8.
I'm definitely a blue ranger.
I like how he revises his age as something younger when the clips come up. Apparently he was younger in the Power Rangers (early 90s) than he was in that commercial (late 80s).
Richard Strong lol
the truth though is even funnier. Bryan, born in 1956 was actually 31 at the time of the ad (1987) and 37 when he was playing monsters in 1993. Not 23 not even 25...
@Apostolos Kedikidis
Holy shit! I'm looking that up now and you are totally right. He's 61 years-old right now. And he looks great!
Yeah "23" caught me off guard...I was like wait a minute wasn't he on Seinfeld in his mid '30s around the same time?
I AM THE ONE WHO KNOCKS
I AM THE RANGER
brilliant ! XD
Levi Scott I AM THE ONE WHO MORPHS
Levi Scott you're god damn right
Your comment made me laugh out loud. Good one, Levi, and thanks!
Just when my respect for Bryan couldn't get any higher.
guess you missed him spewing shit about moving to Canada and then not backing up his own dribble then.
He's so fucking likable.
take off your mask
What a full circle from Power Ranger monster to Power Ranger.
to zordon
There was something amazing about the way Bryan smiles when Stephen says "cuz you can pay rent!" at 7:43. It's like a smile of relatability, because it's _true_. That is how entertainers start out for the most part.
I know him as Hal from Malcom in the Middle :)
Chicken What yup
Chicken What "in" not "and" JESUS
Jimmy Guitar hehe my bad, fixed it
I love Breaking Bad, but I was pretty disappointed when he didn't say Hal. He was amazing in MitM.
i know him as Isamu in Macross Plus.
*corrected :P
"Please, welcome, one of the finest and most distinguished actors of our generation: Bryan Cranston!"
And then he shows up on a Red Ranger suit... What a legend!!!
The lack of cheering when he says he is playing Zordon saddens me :(
You and me both, buddy. I'm just dorking out over the blue ranger being written as autistic, which I love since I'm on the spectrum and the blue ranger was my favorite when I was a kid due to him being the awkward uber-nerd with a polearm, just like kid me!

Timothy Peng Same here :(

Timothy Peng seriously..
Bryan Cranston dressed up as the Red Ranger while being interviewed by Stephen Colbert. I've seen everything, now.
Don't say that there's still more to "see" ;)
Cranston as Zordon is epic
some high ass kicks. nice.
He is seriously turning into Ian Mckellen.
That means he'll get to play Magneto someday!
A flaming homosexual?
The original blue Ranger "Billy Cranston" was named after him
Jokester30 And Cranston even voiced some of the 90’s monsters
It's hilarious how you could recognise him just from his body language!
I love this dude, it's great to see a super talented and dramatic actor be so cool and down to earth
Snizzard is truly one of the great roles of history.
he's handsome
aaw no you are handsome
He's one of the few dudes I'd actually go gay for.
I'm actually straight. I'm just secure enough in my masculinity to admit when I think a man is handsome, attractive, or charming.
Eric Schuller YOUR GAY...its Ok
Like I said before: I'm a straight man who can admit when a guy is good looking. That doesn't mean I'm gay.
I'm so gonna see power rangers this weekend
xD, rude
Well... that escalated quickly.
i know it really actually did. x.x
What can I say? I get tired of people's constant negativity. It agitates my PTSD. Let people enjoy something dumb and campy without making a big deal about it.
Eric Schuller OK?
Brian Cranston started to have that clause in his contracts since Malcom in The Middle.
you see a floating head inside a wall and you think that of me!!?? I AM THE ONE WHO MORPHS!
There's something about Bryan that is so funny it leaves you in tickles. I mean his facial expressions when he talks. He has that kind of gift, the kind Rowan Atkinson has where you just look at him and he's already funny by not doing or saying anything.
"JESSE, WE NEED TO TRANSFORM INTO A MEGAZORD JESSE!"
Bryan Cranston... Method actor and now a method comedian too. Top bloke!
After that interview I now want to see Bryan Cranston and Mark Hamill have a "Silly Voice-off"
What?! They are re-making "The Intouchables"? The original French version is so good.
Matthew Schell america......
yes!! This is extremely unnecessary! Jezzz!! I hope this movie gets a huge public burn!
Agent Fungus Especially if it has Kevin Hart in it
The Departed is pretty decent
I'm not watching that. The original is so good, don't want to ruin it.
He did a great job at playing Zordon, he was perfect for the role.
I love watching old VHS tapes and finding celebrities in early advertising roles. I recently saw Mila Kunis as a four-year-old in something...
He sells morphines
and say:
*IT'S MORPHINE TIME*
I love how Zordon has a different attitude, and that he didn't choose them to be Rangers
They say don't meet your heroes but damn it I wish I could meet Bryan Cranston.
RagnarokNCC who the fuck says "don't meet your heroes"?
I literally just came here to see if he'd talk about his part in playing the monsters in previous PR episodes. I'm strongly satisfied.
What a career! One of my fav actor. Such a funny and amazing guy
Truly, One of the best actors of our generations.
This dude rocks like no other, respect
they clapped when they saw his face? LOOL
Bryan Cranston: Naked since 1987
"Please welcome one of the most distinguished actors of our time, Bryan Cryanston."
*Walks on out in an old school Red Ranger outfit accompanied by the theme song.
This is one of the funniest interviews! Love these two!
A lot of people don’t know that Bryan Cranston did a bunch of voiceover for the original mighty Morphin Power Rangers so much so that Billy‘s character shares the last name.
Bryan Cranston Is The Red Power Ranger... LITERALLY!
He said he always wanted to be a ranger. He did play a Ranger on Babylon 5. Bruce Boxlighnter's character sent him on a suicide mission. He died.
Incredible voice.
Freaking hilarious! 😂😂
Super talented.
What a man!!
Im a Fan!!
Actually him coming out in a red ranger costume is a spoiler 😆
Dignity, always dignity.
Brian Cranston is the best human ever
his best role will always be as the Professor on Gilligan's Island.
Hal will always be his best role ever.
and that's were you're wrong. both. Sorry, both were great roles but it's just a fact that his acting in Breaking Bad was one of the best performances ever.
+Stefan Schwaiger yeaj
he NAILS "every ones favorite uncle" like a boss. love that man!
Stephen Colbert and Bryan Cranston dressed as a Power Ranger getting an entire audience to scream "I'm mad as hell, and I'm not gonna take it anymore!" feels like a deleted scene from Network.
for me bryan cranston wil always be the dad from malcolm in the middle i loved that show
Every time when Bryan wears a ranger suit, I'm starting to think he's Meth deliver.
This guy is so naturally funny
"But I don't know how" 😂
I love how they don’t mention any of his critically acclaimed roles, just the undignified ones.
Saving private ryan
This interview is hillarious!
He is just the best .
Amazing in Malcolm in the Middle too!
@@Guess_The_Number indeed
7:54 "Magic wand, make my monster grow!"
4:37 can laugther cmon
best actor ever
I thought he is the Blue Ranger. Billy Cranston.
Lenard Regencia the blue ranger was named after him
Matthew Cameron yes but Billy Cranston was created 25 years ago and after him then..
I think this might be the best Colbert interview yet.
If this was on Jimmy Fallon, half of the video would have been filled with excessive laughter
Kallan Sivparsad And slapping the desk.
Young Bryan Cranston is so handsome
"The Dignity Parade continues." Pretty much sums up popular culture at the present time.
Dacre Montgomery and Bryan Cranston were in same power rangers series 😯
Gawddamn he is such a down to earth goofball.
i love him so much it hurts
I love that you end up forgetting he is dressed as the goddamn red power ranger
Cranston is so witty!
The lack of excitement and energy when bryan came out with the red ranger costume is disturbing
Omg Bill Hader is Alpha 5 and Bryan Cranston is Zordon I'm sold!!!
Omg Alpha stole anakins wife Ayayayayayai 😂😆.
I want a full version of the MMPR theme cover they performed at the beginning.
He’s amazing
They grow up so fast.
He's awesome!
I remember when he played Isamu Dyson in Macross Plus, back in 1995. Even behind the microphone, he's an incredible actor.
Mighty Morphine Meth-Making Rangers!
Brian Cranston looking dignified as always
such a class act ! caught the film today and its a hell of alot better than it has any right to be. deserves to do well.
Zordan: Rangers we need to Cook.
Someone should remake the "Forever Red" episode of Power Rangers and add Bryan....damn, he was officially the Red Ranger.
That theme song remix was straight fire.
You would think that he would be the BLUE ranger.
Should have played Lex Luther in Batman v Superman.
He is the danger
Powder Danger
“I can stop my heart, and so can my wife” ❤️omg
At every end segment, Stephen always looks as tho he's reaching out for a handshake from that angle, and is always let down xD
There's an episode from Sabrina the teenage witch where he plays a lawyer, I think
he's dressed as the Red Ranger cuz Zordon was the original Red Ranger in this film.
Has that Heisenberg feel to it I love it
I love how he got older from the 90s to the 80s. LMAO, Cranston is just trolling the shit out of him.
This interview was hilarious!
It's SNIZZARD Time!
The movie was surprisingly good. Hopefully they do a sequel but considering it didn’t do well in the BO it depends how it does on Blu-ray and Digital.
