In this episode we learn to distinguish between the tonal and noise components of sound, as well as what actually causes sound to have a pitch. After, we go over the harmonic series and oscillators. In the next episode we will begin learning Vital and start putting these concepts in action.

hey everyone! thanks for your patience on this one. From here one will will be mainly using software so I imagine these next episodes should come out a bit quicker. Really appreciate all the support lately. Much love
Whoop! Very excited to see the series continue! Keep up the great work!
@@_mickmccarthy appreciate your support!
@@jazensounds453 Given the effort and detail you put into these videos, I think I speak on behalf of the community to say - it's fine if you take your time releasing these. Quality over quantity. We are all learning stuff from this series that is NO WHERE to be found on youtube. Thank you immensely for sharing your secret sauce with us. Sending an extreme amount of gratitude and gnarly vibes your way.
Yayy :) hope to see more of these!! the first ep alone was so informative and helpful :D Thanks for making these!
hello...something i don't understand. When decomposign a sound in signal spectrum, we have to take account their frequencies but also their phases. Where are the phases in "span" ? I can't see them. But phase anaylsis is a much important than their frequencies and changing a phrase on a certain frequency can make a sound wave totally different. I don't know then how we can anaylyse a sound only with their frequency spectrum.
I’m getting so much value in these videos. 🔥👌💯 13:00
I seriously don't understand how something so useful and comprehensive can be so unpopular.
Hey Jazen! Just wanted to say that This Series so far has been so helpful with understanding Sound design! Hope there Will be more episodes even tho This one is 2 years ago :(
finally we're back on track 🖤
As you've said in other videos, it's hard to find good sound design tutorials on RUclips. I think you've found a lane of success with this series, keep it up. We're learning a lot, and I know I'm not the only one who appreciates the amount of effort you put into these videos. Thank you!
ok now i'm watching and i absolutely love how you're so in depth (without being tiring) about the perception of sound itself and not just jumping straight to what a synth can do. i mean it when i say i really love this series and will be patiently watching til the end even if it's about something i assume i already know
also the visuals are flawless
@@asiullopes My favourite bit is how smooooooov his voice is. I almost want to fall asleep to it.

you might make a super famous person from these vids, ever though of that? thanks for everything!
Maybe it will be you!
What happened to these tutorials? They were the absolute best out there😢
Good stuff! Enjoyed the video! Thought I'd point out that, typically, the harmonics for both saw and square are at 1/n amplitude (n being the number of the harmonic), rather than "equal" amplitude as stated in the video.
Ty for the clarification!!
Literally best series of tutorials I've seen on RUclips, can't wait for the new episode bro
I need part 3
I need more!
Hell yes so pumped for this series

Dude im learning so much from this, so good series jazen! Amazing! ❤
Thank you very much)
This your videos are really important for us.
i'm waiting next series.
Sine Waves for the win. I wish I had video's like this when I first began to learn Music production. Would of saved me so much time and frustration. The info was out there. But never this concise. And no where near this level of production value. This series is legit. Great Work Jazen!
Eagerly waiting for next ;)
You are incredible! I'm sure your channel will blow up soon, if not I'd be really surprised. The start of this series already has such a high quality production standard. I'm looking forward to watching you grow and learning more from you!
I love your videos. They're very informative, Thank you!
Also, will there be an episode 3?
YASSSSS This put on a smile on my face waking up to this; this morning. Thank you homie, you've made not just my day, but my 2021!
…and your comments made my decade!
Where is the next episode?
great videos!
thank you for this brother. love
This is so interesting especially the tonal sound of the bell reminded me of icy narcos's song link
i was on your last stream, you are insane
Sub’d for more. This was very helpful!
Nice informations, thanks
I much prefer your tutorials when you speak than when it's only text because I can follow better even if I take off my eyes for a couple of second. Please continue this way. Cheers
Fucking great video class... Thaks for this and congratulations.
а из какой волны лучше делать духовые пресеты в синтезаторе? я например делал флейту из белого шума, но можно ли сделать пресет флейты из какой-то формы волны? из какой?
and from what wave is it better to make wind presets in a synthesizer? For example, I made a flute from white noise, but is it possible to make a flute preset from some kind of waveform?
just discovered your channel! Awesome content! Are you planning to continue this Series? Or is the rest available for patreon members?
It will be here for free when I have some time to work on it!
@@jazensounds453 I think a lot of people would even pay for it. Your tutorials are really, really good!
What videos did you watch to understand harmonic series. I really don’t understand it and dont know how to use it for sound design
can i rewatch your live stream somewhere? i missed it
here is the unlisted link ruclips.net/video/QRSPLtG5jzc/видео.html
where can i find EP 3 of this collection.?
So Vital is Subtractive synth? I thought it`s wavetable. Like this mini course a lot, any plans on continuing?
Soon hopefully, and wavetable is more a subset of subtractive synthesis
@@jazensounds453 awesome thanks
