  • Backed by his unique experiences, Charles gives a fascinating perspective into conflict and the power of good that can emerge from the unexpected.
During his time as a peace monitor in South Africa at the height of Apartheid, Charles Irvine developed a belief that conflict has the potential to be our greatest natural resource. Since relocating to the UK in 1996 to build “Questions of Difference”, a niche consultancy, he has gone on to inspire more than 40,000 people as a strategic business consultant in over 30 countries. He is driven by his passion for creating environments where groups of people do extraordinary things.

Beautiful talk Charles.I really do believe conflict is healthy .my worst is people who are bent on not offending because nothing gets done.I just had this conversation with my husband earlier saying to him he should try to go towards conflict instead of running away from it.our daughter was unhappy because the driving instructor insists on starting lessons at 07h00 in the morning even though she was given the preferred times and my husband pretends not to understand why our daughter is unhappy because he is so scared we are going to tell the instructor we are not happy because my husband is a people pleaser and always discounting his own feelings just to be courteous..its very tiring because we are the extreme opposites

Thank you for this! Very thought provoking and well worth the listen. Applying it may well not be easy, but always worthwhile.
