Albeit, strange, I do like the way they form a story before and after the battle with Dracula. Otherwise, the series would be really short lived. I am looking (and hoping) towards seeing Dracula coming back, because that would also be lore accurate.
Really? it looks really stiff, with extremely basic framing and shot composition, and the animation really feels like it's too reliant on 3d models to me. It's almost like a step backwards in terms of animation quality and cinematography

Love the French Revolution setting for a gothic action vampire series. Few times in history combine epic grandeur, romanticism, and normalized casually horrific situations like that moment.

As a non-Castlevania player, the show was one of the best things Netflix has ever done, and made me so interested in a game I otherwise wouldn't have paid any mind to.

Man when they played Richter's them in ep 6 when he got his magic back brought back crazy memories from Rondo of Blood! Felt exactly the same when they played Bloody Tears in S2 with that Trevor scene! GOOSEBUMPS!!!!

Nearly done with this, and it's been incredible. It was rated lower on IMDB, but I think it carries its weight well and is every bit as good. I've been a fan of the series for 30 years, and never made the Trevor, Sypha, Richter connection to his abilities. Outstanding work.
When he said my name is “Richter Belmont” it had the same feeling as when Dracula said “I am Vlad Dracula Tepes and I have had enough!” So hyped for this animation is literally next level.
All the longtime fans knew as soon as we saw the Headband and heard the guitar notes, this' our old buddy Richter. High expectations for this one. So far they did a great job reinterpreting the classic themes, this was fire 💯🔥

I’ve haven’t been so hyped for a show in so long, I’m counting down the days until this comes out! Castlevania has truly become my FAVORITE ANIME OF ALL TIME!
I cannot think of a show that tops the action animation that Castlevania has. The fight scenes are rarely cut short or have long dialogue in between fight sequences. It is amazing how intricate each person's fighting style can be and how much effort is put into making sure everyone in the fight scene is doing something badass. I cannot wait for this sequel!!
Unfortunately a lot of people are upset to see a change in the character Annette. Because God forbid a fictional character change from the game be changed like she was in every bloody game she was in.
But in honesty I'm super excited about this series and I hope people still enjoy it despite the changes that were made it's not supposed to be like the games
The Dracula X series (Rondo of Blood and Symphony of the Night) are my favorite Castlevania games. Richter, Maria, Shaft, Bloodlines theme. I can't wait to see how this turns out. September just keeps getting better with a lot entertainment to enjoy from all kinds of media.
Yea so the first series is loosely base on Castlevania Dracula's Curse and Castlevania: Curse of Darkness. I'm kinda hoping that this new sequel series will be based on Rondo of Blood and Symphony of the Night. They are also my all time favorite games.
Nothing cooler than being a life-long CV fan from the video games and having such an amazing tv series made around it. Everyone involved should be super proud, easily one of if not the best adaptations.
So many things in this trailer, Richters voice actor sounds awesome, the animation looks as usual amazing, the villains, the characters, the action so many things to be hyped about (richter better find the Morningstar sometime whether that be in this season or a later one). Also Divine Bloodlines better be in the actual show.
Hopefully it doesn't go in that woke bs direction like the last season ending did. The first season was awesome and I loved the visuals. They should keep it that way

It's fine if these things are naturally part of the main story, however, you can just tell it was forced to propagate that same old woke narrative bs. That Divine Bloodlines theme is so beautiful orchestra and Rock introduction!! I didn't expect to see Elizabeth Barthely from Castlevania Bloodlines to become the main villain of this series, Still, that is a fitting setup of her as the main villain in the era of Richert Belmont.
The scene where Richter is staring at the moon, don't play so low Netflix, don't need to play with our feelings that much. This is marvelous! Also, Richter is probably the most badass of all bellmonts!

I really love the character design of all of them!! the way they depict and use magic in these series is top tier. Avatar and Castlevania are the few american produced animations that nail that anime feeling but filled with the west’s identity when it comes to the writing and dna. POWERHOUSE STUDIO I SALUTE YOU. The hair on the black character is so nice
ATLA was animated by a South Korean studio called JM Animation and The Legend of Korra was animated by another studio called Studio Mir, but with the same animation director and crew that worked in the first series. It's not an obscure fact that an American production company will sometimes look for Japanese or South Korean studios to work on their animated shows without much creative freedom and a somewhat low pay. In the case of Avatar, however, the animation studios behind both series were heavily involved in the creative desicions regarding the storyboards and visuals, with the animators having the freedom of making the action sequences the way they wanted to. Therefore, I wouldn't consider Avatar to be exclusively American animation, since the Korean studios that have worked on the franchise were key to the success of both shows, plus Avatar is what made South Korean animation be taken more seriously and now we have Studio Mir as pretty much the most important Korean studio there is.
@@KnotPhound Well animation as a whole is a rather international affair, both Japanese Animation and American animation use a lot of Korean and other Asian studios to complement stuff like inbetweens and stuff like that even stuff you woulnd't think like scooby doo would have some help in some episodes be studios outside the US. It's sadly mainly a cost cutting measure as those international studios charge a lot less most of the time, I'm sure there are times when it's used mainly to help an already overwork staff but I'd say that's the exception to the rule. I do hope eventually animators can get better working conditions and payments because from experience animating myself that ain't no easy task. But either way we can say that this animation is looking amazing, I'm quite excited for it.
Thank you Netflix for bringing this series to life. I have watched this trailer no less than 6 times today and about to restart the original series for the umpteenth time. More Castlevania in the future, please!

The animation style is absolutely amazing! If there is any studio that deserves to be given the rights to adapt Mistborn and Stormlight Archive as animation then these guys are it!
The last CasstleVania was good not just because of the graphic and the action, It was the dialogs, The dialogs draw you in, sucking all your attention. Let hope this 1 can also deliver that.
Some people I know thought it was slow. But yeah, personally, I loved the slow dialogue. Just two people talking draws you in, like a Tarantino film. Hopefully this one has a nice mix.
I agree with you, but I do hope one thing they change is the amount of excessive cursing or figure out how to do it better. It didn't feel organic a lot of the time and took me out of moments. Especially when it wasn't considered a character trait by the writers and it was just every single person in the series was channeling their inner sailor. I still loved the series, but the cursing was just...awkward.

I hope they can make Simon Belmont's Story Arc next or a prequel, bec w/ Trevor they showed Leon Belmont's portrait w/ that Heirblade he pick up in the Belmont's vault.
They probably wanted direct sequels to CV3 since those three games, CV3, Bloodlines, and Symphony of the Night, could be considered their own trilogy, narratively, since they all tie in with Alucard and have similar characters teaming up, like Belmonts and Sorcerers, etc. That's why Richter and Maria look a lot like Trevor and Sypha, and then in Symphony it's Alucard and Maria. There's visual/narrative parallels for these three games.
they can always go back to it, when they did the previous season, they left the past and fall of the belmonts open ended. So they can easily go back and do prequel series. right now they need to do popular characters/ series to build hype and funds. sadly I dont think simon is as popular as say richter or alucard. they showed a portrait of Leon Belmont so I have a feeling they may eventually go back to the start and maybe to simon belmont/ juste belmont (hes 50 years after simon) after. after that they could do portrait of ruin ( plus its prequel) into order of ecclessia or wherver they line up. not much left after that
I was a little on the fence how they were going to do Divine Bloodlines for this series. If they were going to make it more orchestral epic like the first series' Bloody Tears, I'd be ok with it, and I'm sure it'd be great. But I am SO unbelievably happy they leaned in, and leaned in HARD, with the rock and guitar riffing original and even harmonized it with the orchestral sounds!
So with Bathory being the new Dracula, I´m guessing they´re mixing the Rondo and Bloodlines story. This will be interesting. Very much looking forward to their adaptation of John Morris and Eric Lecarde. Richter and Maria look and sound awesome.

Nearly done with this, and it's been incredible. It was rated lower on IMDB, but I think it carries its weight well and is every bit as good. I've been a fan of the series for 30 years, and never made the Trevor, Sypha, Richter connection to his abilities. Outstanding work.
This is my favorite show on Netflix, I hope this new installment has been made with as much care and passion that was evident in the last.
But there is no Alucard in this season.

All the longtime fans knew as soon as we saw the Headband and heard the guitar notes, this' our old buddy Richter. High expectations for this one. So far they did a great job reinterpreting the classic themes, this was fire 💯🔥

Feel like this show will definitely get me through college. Castlevania was such an experience with it’s story, characters, and animation. Let’s hope Nocturne lives up to the hype. So far, by the looks of the trailer, I feel like we’re in for one hell of a ride.

I cannot think of a show that tops the action animation that Castlevania has. The fight scenes are rarely cut short or have long dialogue in between fight sequences. It is amazing how intricate each person's fighting style can be and how much effort is put into making sure everyone in the fight scene is doing something badass. I cannot wait for this sequel!!

The Dracula X series (Rondo of Blood and Symphony of the Night) are my favorite Castlevania games. Richter, Maria, Shaft, Bloodlines theme. I can't wait to see how this turns out. September just keeps getting better with a lot entertainment to enjoy from all kinds of media.

Yea so the first series is loosely base on Castlevania Dracula's Curse and Castlevania: Curse of Darkness. I'm kinda hoping that this new sequel series will be based on Rondo of Blood and Symphony of the Night. They are also my all time favorite games.
Nothing cooler than being a life-long CV fan from the video games and having such an amazing tv series made around it. Everyone involved should be super proud, easily one of if not the best adaptations.
Now all we need is Julius Belmont, I don’t know about Symphony of the Night, I don’t see how you can adapt a Metroidvania
So many things in this trailer, Richters voice actor sounds awesome, the animation looks as usual amazing, the villains, the characters, the action so many things to be hyped about (richter better find the Morningstar sometime whether that be in this season or a later one). Also Divine Bloodlines better be in the actual show.

I really love the character design of all of them!! the way they depict and use magic in these series is top tier. Avatar and Castlevania are the few american produced animations that nail that anime feeling but filled with the west’s identity when it comes to the writing and dna. POWERHOUSE STUDIO I SALUTE YOU. The hair on the black character is so nice
ATLA was animated by a South Korean studio called JM Animation and The Legend of Korra was animated by another studio called Studio Mir, but with the same animation director and crew that worked in the first series. It's not an obscure fact that an American production company will sometimes look for Japanese or South Korean studios to work on their animated shows without much creative freedom and a somewhat low pay.
In the case of Avatar, however, the animation studios behind both series were heavily involved in the creative desicions regarding the storyboards and visuals, with the animators having the freedom of making the action sequences the way they wanted to. Therefore, I wouldn't consider Avatar to be exclusively American animation, since the Korean studios that have worked on the franchise were key to the success of both shows, plus Avatar is what made South Korean animation be taken more seriously and now we have Studio Mir as pretty much the most important Korean studio there is.
@@KnotPhound Well animation as a whole is a rather international affair, both Japanese Animation and American animation use a lot of Korean and other Asian studios to complement stuff like inbetweens and stuff like that even stuff you woulnd't think like scooby doo would have some help in some episodes be studios outside the US. It's sadly mainly a cost cutting measure as those international studios charge a lot less most of the time, I'm sure there are times when it's used mainly to help an already overwork staff but I'd say that's the exception to the rule. I do hope eventually animators can get better working conditions and payments because from experience animating myself that ain't no easy task.
But either way we can say that this animation is looking amazing, I'm quite excited for it.

The last CasstleVania was good not just because of the graphic and the action, It was the dialogs, The dialogs draw you in, sucking all your attention. Let hope this 1 can also deliver that.
Some people I know thought it was slow. But yeah, personally, I loved the slow dialogue. Just two people talking draws you in, like a Tarantino film. Hopefully this one has a nice mix.

I agree with you, but I do hope one thing they change is the amount of excessive cursing or figure out how to do it better. It didn't feel organic a lot of the time and took me out of moments. Especially when it wasn't considered a character trait by the writers and it was just every single person in the series was channeling their inner sailor. I still loved the series, but the cursing was just...awkward.

They probably wanted direct sequels to CV3 since those three games, CV3, Bloodlines, and Symphony of the Night, could be considered their own trilogy, narratively, since they all tie in with Alucard and have similar characters teaming up, like Belmonts and Sorcerers, etc. That's why Richter and Maria look a lot like Trevor and Sypha, and then in Symphony it's Alucard and Maria. There's visual/narrative parallels for these three games.
they can always go back to it, when they did the previous season, they left the past and fall of the belmonts open ended. So they can easily go back and do prequel series.
right now they need to do popular characters/ series to build hype and funds.
sadly I dont think simon is as popular as say richter or alucard.
they showed a portrait of Leon Belmont so I have a feeling they may eventually go back to the start and maybe to simon belmont/ juste belmont (hes 50 years after simon) after.

I was a little on the fence how they were going to do Divine Bloodlines for this series. If they were going to make it more orchestral epic like the first series' Bloody Tears, I'd be ok with it, and I'm sure it'd be great. But I am SO unbelievably happy they leaned in, and leaned in HARD, with the rock and guitar riffing original and even harmonized it with the orchestral sounds!
