There's some legitimate "ghost unintentionally caught on camera" moments in this stream. Look really close in the bottom left starting at 1:29:35, the monster from the thumbnail is RIGHT there looking up at Gura and she doesn't even notice! You might need to playback the video at 0.25 speed to see it.
First one I found is when she grabs the methanol for the first body, she walks past the body and turns around asking herself "where is the last one?" and not noticing the body is upright, only reacting when the lights shut off.
Oh god...for an even shorter span, just long enough for my subconscious to notice the pattern, you can glimpse it at 1:29:31 exactly. Would be great to double-spook Gura with a montage of all the scares she didn't even know she missed. Eerie.
I played this recently so I'm glad to see more people enjoying it! One of my favorite things from the game is the things that happen JUST out of eyesight. There were a lot of times I was playing and you'd look down a hallway and briefly see something move but no attention was drawn to it so you are left wondering if you saw something or not. More horror games need to rely on smaller "was it or wasn't it" scares. The players brain can be the biggest ally to scaring them.
To be honest, Gura’s screams got me more than the game did My favorite part of the stream was when we talked about creating OC’s and self inserting into our favorite shows or games. I never really talked about doing that sort of stuff with anybody else, so it was really cool seeing other people do that as well. Thanks for the great stream goob!!!
It's been a while since we got some nice Goomba Floots. I like how on the first run the Shork was reacting left and right and on the second one she was unfazed lol. This game was unrelenting with the scares, thank goodness for the safety blankie and the Chumbies being around to hold my hand I liked the randomly generated events, that makes other playthroughs unpredictable and interesting I'd say The end talk was great so many nice memories we shared together, which is funny as I was talking with family about back in the day not that long ago today. @@Cron0s91 windows xp was still supported until 2014, and you might be surprised to learn that some places like hospitals and all different kinds of businesses actually still have xp machines performing critical functions. Even though it is no longer supported by Windows themselves, so long as the machine isn't networked and is fully offline then it can still be used and remain a practical application. (I actually know places that still rely on mechanical switchboards in their networking systems, and although I can't say where for legal reasons, believe me it would curl your toes if I could). I'd probably put gura as a 99 baby at the oldest, xp machines were still really common in homes up until 2009 when mainstream support was discontinued to basically force people to switch to the newer operating systems. Don't forget that windows vista which replaced xp didn't even come out until 2007. So gura could have easily been born in 2001 and had everyone around her instantly switch to vista on release day and still have memories of windows xp machines being used in her school from when she was 6. A lot of the early 2000s babies would have used xp machines

I really did get scared watching you play this game. My heart was racing the whole time. I could never even watching these without the comfort shark nevermind play them. My only self insert oc is my ebi you had us make during new years I didn't do any of the oc stuff from media, but me and brother with the kids from our neighborhood used to play a game that I realize now was just us larping without any of the fancy props. Made a couple of characters during that time but I don't remember any of them anymore
For me, Skyrim (and especially earlier TES games with more RPG structure) are the place where you're actually _meant_ to have OCs. Your character was supposed to come from somewhere before they ended up a prisoner and went on an adventure, and that can shape what quests you undertake and what choices you make during gameplay. I don't want to talk about my Skyrim self-insert though... DON'T JUDGE ME I know you did it too! I had thought of a full-EN Jackbox collab back before Sana's announcement, but even with the up-to-10-player games like Job Job and Drawful: Animate, someone would've had to sit out each game... but I guess now, there's just enough to fill a game...

Wasn't expecting this to be as scary a horror game as it was for you, but glad you were able to get into it enough to do 2 endings as it was super fun to watch! At 2:16:07 min. I think the protagonist was possessed towards the end. You could tell by the sign she was scribbling on. Had you had less panic and dawdled you would have had more time. The end I did not know but thanks Gura

There's some legitimate "ghost unintentionally caught on camera" moments in this stream. One of my favorite things from the game is the things that happen JUST out of eyesight. There were a lot of times I was playing and you'd look down a hallway and briefly see something move but no attention was drawn to it so you are left wondering if you saw something or not.
More horror games need to rely on smaller "was it or wasn't it" scares. The players brain can be the biggest ally to scaring them.

@@Cron0s91 windows xp was still supported until 2014, and you might be surprised to learn that some places like hospitals and all different kinds of businesses actually still have xp machines performing critical functions. Even though it is no longer supported by Windows themselves, so long as the machine isn't networked and is fully offline then it can still be used and remain a practical application. (I actually know places that still rely on mechanical switchboards in their networking systems, and although I can't say where for legal reasons, believe me it would curl your toes if I could). I'd probably put gura as a 99 baby at the oldest, xp machines were still really common in homes up until 2009 when mainstream support was discontinued to basically force people to switch to the newer operating systems. Don't forget that windows vista which replaced xp didn't even come out until 2007. So gura could have easily been born in 2001 and had everyone around her instantly switch to vista on release day and still have memories of windows xp machines being used in her school from when she was 6. A lot of the early 2000s babies would have used xp machines

For me, Skyrim (and especially earlier TES games with more RPG structure) are the place where you're actually _meant_ to have OCs. Your character was supposed to come from somewhere before they ended up a prisoner and went on an adventure, and that can shape what quests you undertake and what choices you make during gameplay.
I don't want to talk about my Skyrim self-insert though... DON'T JUDGE ME I know you did it too!

Gura, are you aware of the existence of a game called Video Horror Society, VHS for short? It is an asymmetrical 80's horror themed PvP game where you either craft weapons as the teen to fight the monster or hunt the teen as the monster. It's substentially different from DBD but since you do like DBD you might want to look at it as well. Maybe you could ask for permissions to play it on stream if you are interested, it is free to play. 👀
