Their voices were so soft, harmonious and soothing with no hollering and screaming needed. What a blend and a complimentary way of balancing each other as is so evident in this clip. Probably the strongest representation of any group of sisters singing...MY OPINION.

Facts!! Mama Lois was known for her expressions.
They must have never seen her give the Lord some major praise from her wheelchair. She would start praising the Lord in her wheelchair, and before anyone realized it, the whole church was up praising Him right along with her.
To wish you were loved is totally different to knowing you are loved. The love of frail man or woman is so wonderful. But to beloved by Him who knows all about you and does not remind you of your frailities is the most wonderful love to experience. Yes, Jesus loves me. The Bible tells me so. Amen.

I will miss Delois so much >..I've known her voice since 40 years ago..... Say Amen ..came out and the Barrett SIsters came unto their own...such greats as Wille Mae Ford Smith (Mother Smith) spoke of how they had grown under her wings. But we all get older and then yes, we pass on to the next world....I know Delois will be singing on with the greats...Thank you Barrett Sisters for all you gave us!

Authentic Gospel Music- very moving. I grew up with this music. These women are simply remarkable!- adore the harmonies. I couldn't done without the harmonic which has little if any place in traditional black gospel music. This style of singing doesn't belong around the Campfire- those riffs turn it Country and adds another voice that does not belong in this straight-forward and soulful singing.. But I'm glad it's shared by all, regardless of race!
