This home is by far my favorite of any home tour I’ve seen. Having pieces that have a story, history, is key. I am so bored with monochromatic matchy, matchy furniture. I love how there is a story behind Beyonce and the marlin…they’re not chintzy pieces purchased at Target to fill a space…they have character that reflects the woman of the home. I live in Bodega Bay…Home of the birds. I absolutely adore Natalie’s ‘Birds’ themed bathroom! Natalie incorporated so much creativity and uniqueness without it feeling contrived. It’s designers like this that will save us from living boring monochromatic lives of desperation…❤
A masterclass in taking your time and only buying things that speak to your heart, rather than automatically filling a house with generic mass-produced stuff. Natalie has created a truly joyful, beautiful home, which also shows that buying art and supporting local artists needn’t be expensive or intimidating. Gorgeous 👏

I've been collecting my kids' art since they attended art classes from the age of six and then had art as a subject in high school. My daughter studied Visual Arts up to Master's degree level and I now have so many beautiful art works with sentimental value that my flat looks like an art gallery!

Whoever thought that Alfred Hitchcock would become Alfred Kitchcock? I think he would be delighted. I love this woman's aesthetic sensibility. I have always hated white ceilings...they are so jarring. She has completely solved that problem. She has created a perfect oasis for herself and her family. It does not get any better at the end of a long, taxing day, than to come home, kick off your shoes and look at a ceiling of warm, rich color.

That was SUCH a fun home tour. I absolutely love her fearlessness, and I see many things in her home that I would also have in mine. Like Natalie, I've got a number of paintings, sculptures, folk art and other pieces I've picked up from thrift stores, auctions and online places like Facebook Marketplace and Craigslist. And even on the side of the road. (Hello big framed vintage map of the U.S. - I'm looking at you.) The only problem is, my home is MUCH, MUCH smaller than hers, and I don't have nearly enough room to display all my treasures. ((wistful sigh))
