this video validates the fact that I was doing morning pages in a similar way. And I called my notebook "thinking on paper". Thank you for inspiring me to get back to it ✨❤
Ohhh my goodness this makes me feel so happy!! I love the name “thinking paper” in fact I really love doing things like mind maps and thought clouds in my book to get ideas and problems flowing on the page. Love this!! X
Wonderful!! I have been doing them for a few years and every once in a while I try to stop and now, I cannot. They literally keep me healthy. Highly recommend!! Also, using a beautiful notebook and fountain pen, lighting candles and having coffee or tea while writing helps. I used to use cheap notebooks but I didn't value the experience and it didn't stick. Now with my upgraded supplies, I am more committed and the benefits are better (for me).
Oh this is so motivating and inspiring! I have a rule of no candles near my notebooks due to my clumsiness 🫣 but vibes are everything with journaling. I love doing some journaling when I get out the shower and into my jammies as it just feels so fresh and clean and new.
I think it's wonderful that you've made these 'morning pages' work for you. That's what really counts 💖 Flexibility is key and you've shown how it can be done. We're all different and we can work out what works best for each of us 💖
Oooh Jo! This was such a cute video, and I loved the different style too~ I've unintentionally been doing something similar. Cathartic, will share with you soon :)💌
I had a run of about a year where i was really consistent with morning pages and it was really satisfying to fly through notepads. It tailed off after a bit but I've been feeling like i need to go back to it lately. These tips are helpful. I never decorated these paged before but I feel like that could definitely help.
Love that you are feeling the need to go back to it. Decorating has changed the game for me. (And helps me get through the sticker stash!) good luck! X
Really enjoying your videos Jo - thank you. Something to think about when wanting to journal about a traumatic event or stressful incident is listening to Huberman Lab podcast "A Science-Supported Journaling Protocol to Improve Mental & Physical Health". It details a very different way to journal from what us regular daily writers are used to.
I really enjoyed this different style of video and such great tips. It's funny how differently everyone journals - I can't do any journalling while listening to anything, other than music, cos I find I can't concentrate with talking and I like to give all my journal videos my full attention 😊 Love our differences while we do the same thing 😊
I just restarted morning pages recently and I noticed that my last previous entry was October 2023! 😂 It always feels like a burden when I had to follow the rules (writing first thing in the morning, etc). My mornings are not made for writing morning pages! But I think I'm going to allow the kind of flexibility you suggest, otherwise I'm not going to get them done. Already, for October, I've only done 2 mornings. So now, it's 4pm. I think I'm going to do an entry in the morning pages journal. Thanks! 😊
I tried to do morning pages and that 5-minute quiet time to reflect kinda thing and I couldn't stick to it. I'm one of those folks that jumps right into work, because I work from home. Maybe 2025 will be different from me :) Thank you for sharing this! It's this kind of video that inspires me to create more meaningful (mindful *cringe*) stationery/fountain pen-inspired videos.
Hiya, I'm a newbie to your channel.A friend said I should do morning pages and you have just given me the best advice to get started. Thanks,I have just been in my stationery stash to find what I need Tomorrow is the start of my journey.🎉
Good routine! I am horrible expressing myself onto a journal so after a workout or meditation how I discuss in my journal I I felt physiological, physiological. Cannot wait to get advice from your video. ❤
This video inspired me to start doing my morning pages to help become more creative. Can I ask what kind of cover you’re using for your Hobonichi notebook?
I usually watch journaling videos when I'm drawing or painting. I can't watch or listen to anything that has talking in it when I journal because I end up writing what the person is saying or get too invested in the video and forget to write 😅
Oh my goodness, the amount of times I’ve written something and looked back and it’s a line from the tv show or video 🤣 it kind of makes me laugh though (and a good way of media tracking).
11:05 I am absolutely journalling while listening to this video in the background 😅

I am so excited to see! And get jealous of how eastetically common cornery your morning pages are 🥰

Oooh I will have to give this a listen! Thank you for the recommendation 🙏🏻

Same! I need peace and quiet to journal ❤
The spread in the thumbnail looks lovely😍 can’t wait to watch this xx
Thank you! Adding stickers to rambly thoughts is clearly the way to go

Hello!! Welcome to the channel!! Oh you are so sweet, I hope your “whatever time of the day suits you” pages worked out today!
Good routine! I am horrible expressing myself onto a journal so after a workout or meditation how I discuss in my journal I I felt physiological, physiological. Cannot wait to get advice from your video. ❤
Liking the different style of video Jo! 👏🏼
Thank you!! Switching it up a bit.
Thanks for sharing your way of writing Morning pages 🙏
This video inspired me to start doing my morning pages to help become more creative. Can I ask what kind of cover you’re using for your Hobonichi notebook?
This is amazing news 🥰 this cover is the Hobonichi yuge fabric farm cover from this year. It’s beautiful and simple. Really recommend 🧡
