In this quick and easy One Love/People Get Ready guitar lesson, I will show you all of the chords for this smash hit by Bob Marley and the Wailers.
We basically have two different chord progressions here, the chorus, and the verse.
I open the lesson playing the chorus progression. The distinct reggae rhythm is performed by playing quick chord stabs on the upbeats while immediately muting the chord in the left hand.
I will demonstrate this technique in the video lesson so that you will be able to get those chords to sound nice and tight.
As for the chords themselves, it shouldn't be very challenging for anyone who knows how to play closed position triads around the fretboard. There are many lessons at guitarlessons365.com that show you how to know all of them systematically.
The chorus is a bit easier to grasp than the verse, however the verse chord progression is probably a little more interesting sounding due to it's use of a minor chord.
In any case, this one shouldn't take you very long to master so have fun!

I know I have asked for it before, probably more than once. But, do you think you could do Villanova Junction by Jimi Hendrix (Woodstock Version) PLEEEEASE!!!!! If not how about 25 or 6 to 4 by Chicago. There are NO GOOD lessons on either of these songs anywhere. But Villanova Junction is my favorite Hendrix song and I do understand this is a very difficult song to put in a lesson format. It would be greatly appreciated by myself and I just know countless others. Thank You so much for all the lessons you have given us. I download them ALL.
