  • 🌟✨ Hello, crochet friends! In today's video tutorial, I'm thrilled to guide you through creating my Cozy Cabin Dishcloth. 🏡🧽 This charming crochet dishcloth showcases the herringbone single crochet stitch, offering a tight weave and extra thickness - making it an ideal choice for kitchen accessories like dishcloths, potholders, and placemats.
While the herringbone single crochet stitch might be a bit tricky, I've taken extra care to break it down slowly, repeating each step multiple times to ensure clarity. So, grab your hook, your favorite yarn, and let's embark on this cozy and functional crochet journey together. Happy hooking, and may your kitchen be adorned with handmade warmth and charm! 🌈🧶
    Xoxo,
    Christine
P.S. Ignore all the dog noises. Usually, I like to do voiceovers so I don't get the extra noise from the animals, but I really wanted to walk you through this tutorial, so you're going to hear Wilbur walking around, as well as my solar generator turning off and on throughout the video.
    Materials needed:
    - Lion Brand 24/7 worsted cotton
    Purchase the yarn here: shrsl.com/4cl8b
    - 4.00mm crochet hook, I used a Furls hook
    Purchase it here: shrsl.com/4cl8f
    - Scissors
    - Tapestry needle
    - Measuring tape
    Pattern notes:
    - This pattern is written using standard US crochet terms.
    - Ch 1 never counts as a stitch.
    - This pattern is worked in turning rows.
    - This pattern is a two-row repeat.
    - Odd-numbered rows are worked from front to back (as normal) and even-numbered rows are worked from back to front (this is explained in the video)
    - The maker may want to go up a hook size or be sure to crochet with loose tension.
    - Start working the border from the right side.

I didn't hear the dog either 😊 I'm going to give this a try tomorrow. Wish me luck. I learned to crochet many years ago but my friend was a lefty and only taught me to chain, single and double crochet. Then my family moved away. I was a tween back then. (Over 40 years ago). With no one to teach me more I played around and came up with other stitches: I learned many years later they had names like slip stitches and treble stitches etc.... Another friend taught me how to make a granny square. Now with you tube I can learn more. I've never been able to follow a written pattern. Thank you for sharing your knowledge 😊
