thanks for the info KEV and a great vlog, ive stayed in one of the smaller hotels in adeje, the PANORAMA. also a 3 star. it shocked me exeptional food, proper english style sausage at breakfast, and all the staff treat you like a family member, just makes me wonder if the rating stars and the sometimes lavish reception areas lead us into a false sense of perfection. keep up the great work budddy..

Hi Kevin, I've stayed here a few times in the past and definitely agree about the food, it's changed hands three times in the last 10 years and the rooms haven't changed one bit,
Not sure if you know the short cut past the Scots mist and the bull & moon but if you turn left outside the hotel then left again the path will take you up to Christian Sur opposite thev19th hole and Buddies bar. Keep up the great work 👍🏻

I have been coming to this hotel for 30 years and in the beginning it was a tryp hotel,than they changed it to a sol hotel and the quality became even better but then again it became after some years a tryp hotel again and it went back to less quality.But now it is back a sol hotel it will become better again.And i still find it one of the best hotels in southern tenerife if you compare price,quality!
At Sol Arona this week. Must have just missed you at breakfast Kevin Agree, rooms are basic, beds are rock hard but after asking 3 times we got mattress toppers. Food is ok, excellent salad bar at lunch and dinner. Staff are mostly very nice and helpful. We did get a good last minute deal via Jet2. Location of hotel is good.
We are off to Paradise Park a week on Monday and can’t wait. I was in Hollywood Mirage same time last winter thanks to your vids Kevin. Casey’s and The Vaults are best bars in the area up the hill. I wasn’t a fan of the strip due to the noise of the shrieking cabaret singers lol

Kevin you should know it's supply & demand just the same as flights, not justifying it but its just the way it is, high season in the Canaries your not going to get last minute cheap deals on hotels, you will know this, its either take it on the chin or don't go. We prefer Lanzarote but still enjoying the videos.

We always stay at Melia hotels in mainland Spain, I thought they were all 4 or 5 star. Well wait until they’ve done the re-furb the price will go up. Thanks Kevin.
Wow, so many old gits going up for (presumably) seconds, could have been myself! Love a buffet, especially a breakfast one. Fill up for the day. Breakfast like a King, lunch like a prince, dine like a pauper. Fill up properly on the buffet breakfast, and you can skip the prince phase. I ignore the pauper bit though, and like to find another buffet ;-)

Still 100 times better flavoured vegetables that you find in UK.
We stay 5 star and it’s not that much better. Spanish bacon and sausage is just the pits

Some of the food in Spain is awful but the fruit and cakes are always excellent. I have not stayed in that hotel but thanks for the review. Always interesting that Tenerife is more expensive in November than it is in June.

To be fair, I have stayed there, about 5 years ago. It must of been ok, as I can't remember complaining. We must of had one of the better rooms, we only stayed a couple of nights before moving into our apartment. I don't usually stay in hotels for the very reasons you are talking about, I am always disapointed!
Very sad looking hotel. Have stayed in other Sol hotels in Tenerife, Benidorm and Torremolinos which were much better. I wonder why this one got left behind.

Don't think it matters what you pay or what star the hotel it's pot luck with the food but lot of the food is not hot enough Kevin 🤔 ❤❤
thinking about booking a week here in January. You think ill need the air-con in Jan??
It's coldest month with Feb so might get away with it but if u get hot room and its mid 20s one day could be hot

To be fair I think it looks good for 3 star. As you said it’s all relative, had you paid £70-£80 for night you wouldn’t have as high expectations….to be fair 😎😅

Yes (Princesa Dacil), with a large illuminated sign on the roof, which was very noticeable at night when on the bus from the airport.

Can't believe you are moaning about the food. There was so much choice that it was unreal. Some hotels, you would be lucky to get a croissant and few corn flakes for more than you paid .
Agree good selection but hot food wasn't great.
