Hi SouperboyX I wanted to say I loved all of the scenes with Jor -El AI and the physical AI form in Last Son Part 1. I was wondering if you have any future plans for both AI versions of Jor-El for the two sequels at some point in the future? I think that it would be amazing idea if the AI version of Jor-el showed Superman the backstory/history of Doomsday and Clark could get the idea that maybe he can save Doomsday, but during the final battle Superman would realize that he has to destory Doomsday and die himself at the same time to save the earth. In the show Krypton, Doomsdays backstory was that he was a kryptonian war hero who was experimented on by the Zods and the El's and transformed into Doomsday, but you could reverse it and have it to where it was Brainiac that experimented on Dax and created Doomsday. I thought that would be a great way of going more into Kryptonian history and show Superman how Doomsday and he have a kinship with each other hence Superman's attempt to save Doomsday resulting in both of thier demises. I was thinking how you could have Jor-El show Superman the history of Doomsday by use the training sequence from Superman the original movie where Jor El took Kal-El through space and time and you hear only his voice as he guides his son through training, but in this case the scene is in reverse with Jor-El from the smallville/Snyder universe taking Kal-El through a journey of Doomsdays entire history and warning him what Doomsday has become as a result of his creation. Tom Wellings Superman could say to Jor-el, I beilieve that no matter what kind of evil choices someone makes in thier life, at thier core everyone is worth saving, with Superman saying, I don't care how powerful Doomsday is I'll take him on like I did Zod, and Jor El could say I am here for you as well my son. Superman would say thank you father and fly out of the fortress and back to Metropolis. Then we end the scene with Brainiac infecting the fortress at the end of Last Son Part 1 with Doomsdays symbol in the fortress. Essentially this could be a brand new post credit scene for Part 1 of Last Son and set up the stakes of Part 2.
Basically Superman doesn't kill, and I believe having him attempt to save Doomsday before both of thier demises would add a layer to Superman's character and show a version of the Superman/Doomsday dynamic never before seen in Superman media before.
Hi SouperboyX I am curious if a sequel is ever made for this first film do you have an idea of who the new villain might be for Part 2? and which villain could possibly close out the trilogy? I was thinking for part 3 it could be SteppenWolf and Darkseid.
Yeah the orb just showed Lex the future he would have to create to “control” or “kill” the traveler. I wanted there to be a more substantial payoff for the Orb’s true ability compared to the show. So really the orb just gave Lex immense knowledge that no other human has. When it comes to Doomsday, I’d say if anything the Book of Rao might have summoned him.
This was one of the best scenes of the fan-film. Combines the best aspects of each iteration of the Superman lore and this is the highlight for me.
