It's called corruption, greed and their masters hate humans but if you are power hungry as these disgusting city so called leaders and governing authorities you'd betray your fellow humans too. Don't worry though, they will spend their eternity tormented in flame, FOREVER
You can't do that in America for the police and government are well armed and have plenty of prisons. They just build more prisons as demand increases... They spend ungodly amounts of police, prisons, and military as well as giving tax cuts to the rich as lobbied that it's only, 'order out of chaos.'
Are these politicians idiots... those little tiny houses aren't the answer but throwing them on the street.. those tiny homes are great ideas until a better idea can be had.. it's sad that homeowners are concerned with their property value and not for homeless people and human beings in general
I think this guy is great, he's really trying to help people. I'm not sure the tiny homes is the best way to go, and certainly not practical for long term, but at least he's trying to do something positive.
Thomas Tolbert I wasn't doubting it was positive, I think what he's doing is amazing. I'm just not convinced that its the best way to help people long term. but I wasn't saying he should stop.
These "houses" are suppose to be temporary, until a more permanent solution is available. It's shelter and a safe place to keep their stuff. They are much more healthy than living in a tent on "skid row". And I'll even bet the areas that the small houses are, are less likely to be dangerous from crime.
While it's not for long term it's a great start. Not everyone that is given a hand up will take advantage of it. The other factors are these: are the people taking care of the houses? Does the city make any money from the houses? I E property taxes. What's the surrounding economy like? Jobs, schools, churches, welfare services. I was homeless in L A for about a month. It's tough!!! But if a person in a bad situation wants to get ahead, there is opportunities. They just have to try.
That needed to happen in the 60's when JFK was assassinated and the war for profit in Vietnam then occurred, but it was just a hippie sexual revolution and then our parents taking a seat in front of the television for a comfortable time passer. Talk about kicking the can down the road. Now that it's too far advanced and gone with a real Rothschild establishment global power structure of world bankers in place, it means one thing. War for the world is a certainty, but most likely not for at least 3 more years. Democracy and liberty with equal justice for all will never be a reality in our lives...
This is so very Sad . Where I moved from in BC Canada . A Homeless Man Froze to Death a few Years back . The Police went After City Council their Telling Them they Need a Men's Homeless Shelter . But they still Do Not have enough Beds , For the amount of Money . Can the Cities and Government Not set up Something Proper For All these Homeless People . And Here is a Man with Wonderful and Great Intentions Of Building Tiny House for These Beautiful People , He is a Man Good and Warm Heart . And the City Refuse to Let him do this for these People . It's more than LA's done for these People
A crying sinful shame on cities, our local/ national government. We the people/ citizens used to be the government- no longer. Now just puppets/ slaves of 'Washington, DC'. It's heartbreaking to us who still have a 'heart', & care about our fellow man- - no matter.
What's also horrible is that the city took their property, including clothing and medicine, and threw it away in the trash. City of Angels? More like City of Devils.
If they care about the city's image, help these human being off the streets. I wonder what the cost is for the city to send manpower around every two weeks to clean up the streets. They destroy the little bit of belongings they have. I wonder how those taking and throwing away the belongings of the homeless would feel if someone came to their homes every two weeks and took what they wanted and get rid of the rest?
He is a true angel. Can't he invite these people on his own property though? No one can confiscate his tiny own on his own property. In general I don't understand the argument of the city of L.A. Do they consider it be more secure in a tent than in a tiny house with an actual lock and solar electricity. I really like the US, I have an American girlfriend. But since you guys want to the "Greatest nation on earth", you have to help your poor as well. And these clean-up operations - oh boy. How can you destroy peoples homes, what's the value in that?
I just don't get it what the hell is wrong with the government? I've been homeless for almost 35 years still no help in and out shelters hospitals rehabs Bridge housing and none of them have been able to help me find a place . this man is trying to help and they won't let him what a shame !!!!shame on you Los Angeles!
This guy says tiny house is not a solution??? Is he stupid or is he just plain evil!!, that is straight from the devils mouth. God bless you Elvis. You are directly sent by God.
I do see the point that it's not a solution. Putting tiny houses on the streets without sewage etc isn't good -but what if the lawmakers find land to put them on, and set up a small community (with sewage systems etc). Surely couldn't cost more than rounding up the homeless and cleaning the streets
It's capitalism! Not everyone wins even though there's more than enough resources to go around and then still have a very rich upper crust. the authorities are against it.... because it'll help the homeless and get them independent instead of trying to stay on the system? I see them as a solution. at least he's TRYING.
the homeless people will end up shitting/pissing in the small homes, which will make cleaning up after it even harder. there's no toilet in the small house. it also encourages longer term camping when you have a plywood house compared to a tent. at least you can move easier with a tent. try hauling around a wooden house. what needs to be done is bus these people to a FEMA camp.
This is a real hero, surpassing even US government and police! Imagine if people's job would be really helping each other, not steal, not scam, not speculate, but to help. A world will be much better place! A time for change must come, the world is too much divided by haves and have not's and one group simply cannot function without other. People will get pissed one day and they will demand, that their basic needs are satisfied!
I am happy this guy is doing something to help the homeless. California is one of the richest State in American but it is so expensive and the average 1 bedroom in Southern California is 1400 dollars & nobody can afford to pay their rate. Employers don't want to pay enough money to their employees so people have to work 2-3 jobs to support their families. Like what the hell is going on in America 😬
move? it's these people's dream to audition in hollywood and become the silverscreen's next big star! they just need a break. it's only a matter of time.
Some people have family there, and not everyone can leave. You think a homeless person has money to move? Also, not everyone moves there to be a movie star.
God bless you Elvis. You're a brilliant, shining light in a pitch black universe. There are so few truly good people left but you remind me and everyone else that knows you; that good and compassion are cornerstones of humanity.
Government: "It isn't a safe condition to live in" also Government: Lets homeless to live on the streets or in tents because that is clearly the safest option between that and small houses.
I'm glad your doing this I always whant to do something like this for this people I been throw a lot and no one should live in the street but every body has there own opinion lets help the people in need god bless
They should take away the mayor's mansion and throw him on the street I imagine the mayor and other people working in the government are going home to there mansions while other people are suffering this is BS
There are so many soo rich people, why is this even possible? We have no homeless without shoes, food or shelter. Okay, maybe some of our homeless human beings want to live on the streets. But that is is up to them... somehow. You Americans should be proud to have one like Elvis in your ranks.
These tiny homes are very livable but not taxable. Local government cannot have this. Because if a renter realizes this, than everyone renting will be moving into these tiny homes. 1% property tax on a $50 million Bel Air house is $500,000, half a million bucks the state collects every year. These tiny homes cost $5000. 1% is 50 bucks. $50 is not enough to fund the city's public unions and their pensions.
Bro continue on what u r doing.. Never give up.. If the government cant support them keep up the good vibe it will spread on others soon never give up on ya good deeds
Why not find a backer to provide a safe place to set up as a pilot experiment community? That too would be illegal in our, 'free,' country even if the land owner allowed it? It would be sorta like a subdivision or trailer park, but with walking paths instead of driveways and roads. We need micro-communities. It's not just the under educated and under skilled excluded, but capable high IQ educated people are also excluded in ruthless capitalism for there aren't jobs if you have any gaps in employment and then in that case, there's no credit and home equity lines to use as starter money. America is really divided due to ruthless capitalism arbitrarily excluding many. Sure, you can go walk into Mexico to live or leave for another country, but it does take money to pay your way and then I can't think of one single country offering permanent resident visas except retirement visas to those 55 and older who have a minimum verifiable income of say $1200 or $2000 depending on country. I've grown to hate America for this money and capitalism and crap job market thing and do wish to leave for I'm so darned tired of being held captive by the debt based economic system of an increasing polarization.
May GOD Bless and Keep this Man Elvis . For he has a warm and a good heart . For trying his Best at giving the Homeless Shelter and place to call Home on a different note here. This man is doing more than the governments or city councils are doing .all over the world put together to end this problem
I was homeless and addicted to heroin for nearly 3 years, so I can speak from experience when I say that homeless women are MUCH better off. There are dedicated women's centers, social workers have more government service options for women only, shelters give priority to women. I'm really lucky that there were some genuinely caring women in my city who were also homeless, they would go into the 'womens only' shelters to get me clean needles, water, even a blanket if it was a cold night, since it was the only shelter/support location in the city that was open every day... People don't end up homeless unless they have an addiction, or a mental illness. From my point of view, if someone were to have provided me a comfortable place to live and a bag of groceries every week, it would only have made it easier for me to continue using heroin.... I really believe the majority of addicts are struggling with some serious psychological problems, and providing them the proper care for that would do more to change their lives than a welfare cheque ever could
Adverse possession can apply for permanent land privatization system. No temporary. Without rental private and without purchase of real estate businessman
There may be complications, but i think the likelihood of these people recovering in tents is low. A secure personal house might be the first stepping stone needed.
The solution is to locate all the tiny homes in remote walled in areas so they can be "out of sight" of the public. Anything must be better than sleeping on the sidewalk in a skid row environment.
Garcetti is planning on getting homeless off the streets before October 2021. Are they letting you build tiny homes? Or are you banned from doing this today?
@18:35 The homeless person says she is pregnant ? What dafuq is wrong with ppl ? She can't sustain herself but brings in a child to this world ? Humanity is irrational and stupid. What chance does a kid have with a homeless mother ?
What if she was snatched? What if she was pregnant against her will? And accidents do happen you know. Not everyone can afford birth control, least of all the homeless. Have some sense. And a heart. I pray you never become homeless!
USA is going shit, i remember when i was a kid, dreaming going there and livin' the future, now i'm glad i was born in Italy. That's sad, and as long as the selfish goes on, the worst it will become
That women who got the tiny house is certainly a drug addict...you can see that from her eyes and face...Why didn't he give that tiny house to the women who did the recycling? Seems like she deserves it more than drug addicts
Come from a city where "tiny houses" (a.k.a small illegal settlement) had become major problem, I side more on the city officials. These "tiny house" may sounds like a good temporary solution, but as in the case of my city, it will eventually become permanent. Just like that woman (Raven?) said: "Who wants to constantly move their stuffs..?". People will start open business in their tiny houses, and they will create community centered on this supposedly "temporary solution". That community will lack basic things like security, sanitation, and access to public services. That means these community will be generally unregulated, have no access to electricity or clean water, and not paying tax. They also prone to be source of crime in the city. Anyway, in case of my city, the solution is a state-wide regulation where any developer who start a housing/accommodation related project (e.g. real-estate, apartment building, hotel, etc) must also agree to help construct a state-subsidized public housing in a state-own land. These are a small city block complete with playground, elementary school, marketplace, and all basic infrastructure, according to certain specification as recommended by academic studies. In short, we emulate what the Europeans did in the 60s, where they do have a mixed result. However, we think we figured it out why it was not so successful in Europe. European government was then put the emphasize on the humanitarian aspect. We think that's wrong. Now we put the emphasize on the law enforcement and public safety. Leave the humanitarian to private charities. The government will focus on regulating and maintaining order. And so far it works.
Of course 'Tiny Homes' are a solution. Elvis is trying to do something that the whole government does not care about; other than benefitting from the money they can syphon from funds allocated to helping these people. Elvis is a "HERO OF THE PEOPLE!!"
I left California because there were no apts avail. Just 1-5 year waitlist. I moved to Kansas and now have a nice apt. Help homeless move to small towns USA.
What's essential to the city is providing clean and safe housing. Start with the tiny homes and add what's needed to make them "safe". The homes come with wheels, so why is it an issue to move when you have to "clean" the street? Again, if the city applied WORK to the words they speak, the people would have help. How many abandoned or unused buildings do they have? Why not speak with Elvis and anybody else that's DOING the work to give you ideas on how to ACTUALLY help? MERCY JESUS, forgive me because I'm angry.
That lady is making $180 a week recycling? If she (and the others) was smart, she'd use the money to move to another part of the country like Waltons Mountain where folks are friendly and will let you sleep in their barn for a fair days work in the mill.
Was just thinking that. There is a lot of farmers that need help and Christine is a person that wants to work. But I guess her goal is to get her old place back in Los Angeles.
My God, just put porta pottys in skid row w shower stations! Lets simplify life folks. We have a solution to a problem utilize it and work out the kinks. No need to be impossible. Sheesh why are these guys the ones who only get to speak? Theyre doing it wrong! Lol the saying "work smarter not harder" really hits the nail on the head!
The people is running the city should be fired the city authorities doesn't care about the homeless situation I don't know what they're talking about when they say safety it's way less safe on the sidewalk than in those houses
Debt based economics system arbitrarily excluding many makes people more than angry so it makes for one dangerous unstable American society which is why we have the very highest violent crime, scams, debt, and incarceration rates. Even though he's trying to help and on their side, homeless people past the point of no return to sanity easily act like he owes them for he obviously showers and has a place so he must have money and be unfairly privileged. I hate walking around in any of our cities for this very reason. It's so unsafe...
Stay FAR away from FEMA internment and re-education camps. It would be extremely naïve and dangerous to trust the government. Read the leaked "Internment and Resettlement Operations" manual to learn the real agenda of FEMA.
How is it safe or healthy for her and her baby though, to have no sewage facilities? Having to shit and piss on the nearby ground - someone else will have to clean up the sewage
The question is would you rather have these homeless people working or have them unemployed. Keep raising the minimum wage and more unskilled workers will fall into the homeless...
Rumple Forskin More like nobody should be homeless that chooses not to be homeless. It's no surprise that lazy drug addicts who don't contribute anything society are homeless. Of course there are good people who need help, but the majority lead lives that keep them homeless.
Alice Liu no actually its not ...clearly u dont understand..THE U.S MONEY IS WORTH NOTHING . Fiat money system is worthless . Add to fact that they made it worse by removing the gold standard . Money is even more worthless being that they print so much of it .They do it now more so because they know the economy's tanking .Last but not least , we have so much debt , we would still be tanking regardless.
what's the difference between a tent and a plywood home? and what the fuck is that homeless lady doing with a TV in her tent @15:17? sometimes i think you hoard too many things and it complicates your situation.

They are actually quite nice, I doubt people in L.A. would have a problem with a tiny home in red, blue or yellow.
Not all homeless people are criminals. Most have jobs, and pay taxes.
If he had land to out the houses on then the city government would have no say. Just sad that they are so corrupt and not caring.
I support everything you do
Garcetti is planning on getting homeless off the streets before October 2021. Are they letting you build tiny homes? Or are you banned from doing this today?
3:05 drunk octopus wants to fight you
@18:35 The homeless person says she is pregnant ? What dafuq is wrong with ppl ? She can't sustain herself but brings in a child to this world ? Humanity is irrational and stupid. What chance does a kid have with a homeless mother ?
A great chance because through adversity comes strength...
Probably zero :/
Abortion, adoption, foster care... realistically that kid has no shot if raised by her.
What if she was snatched? What if she was pregnant against her will? And accidents do happen you know. Not everyone can afford birth control, least of all the homeless. Have some sense. And a heart. I pray you never become homeless!
This man is incredible!
get rid of background music.
How do you make them?I also want to start it in my country
If people are willing to do this then they are willing to work.
Y not move them out of the City? And make tiny houses there
"It's not safe conditions to live in" 0:29 but in the elements and side walk is better?
USA is going shit, i remember when i was a kid, dreaming going there and livin' the future, now i'm glad i was born in Italy. That's sad, and as long as the selfish goes on, the worst it will become
Elvis you have a beautiful soul inside and out keep fighting god will soon bless you with the best
Can we still donate to this guy's organization?
....I salute you sir!
That women who got the tiny house is certainly a drug addict...you can see that from her eyes and face...Why didn't he give that tiny house to the women who did the recycling? Seems like she deserves it more than drug addicts
Yeah. She's actively trying to get out of her situation.
I love what you do . Wishing you the best. God will bless you
Мужчина с большим сердцем )))❤️
With the size of these units do you need building permits? Where do you build at?
What about in my country Kenya, their are many homeless people, I want to start with home
No temporary, adverse possession policy and possession law for vacant land can apply for permanent privatization land system
And not forgetting about college graduates who are unable to find job in their area of specialty & stalk with a lot student loans 💸💸💸💸
The side of Los Angeles they dont want tourists to see.
And so far it works.
this is an interesting comment, thanks!
There not safe to live in oh but the streets are perfect!
Of course 'Tiny Homes' are a solution. Elvis is trying to do something that the whole government does not care about; other than benefitting from the money they can syphon from funds allocated to helping these people. Elvis is a "HERO OF THE PEOPLE!!"
Fantastic Elvis.
Desperate people are easier to control. Thank God for making a hell and a lake of fire for these disgusting city so called leaders THANK YOU
I left California because there were no apts avail. Just 1-5 year waitlist. I moved to Kansas and now have a nice apt. Help homeless move to small towns USA.
nwo in place!
Taking the last belongings from indigent women and leaving them with nothing. This country is so fucked up
What's essential to the city is providing clean and safe housing.
We're is the bloody compassion with these government people? let them have there houses
fckng life in box
H. O. P. E with LOVE ❤️🌏
God Bless that guy.............
Please come to Houston and do this
That lady is making $180 a week recycling?
Now you gotta ask, they didn't do this cos it doesn't benefit those public officials.
The people is running the city should be fired the city authorities doesn't care about the homeless situation I don't know what they're talking about when they say safety it's way less safe on the sidewalk than in those houses
Even he won't go near the homeless without a stab proof vest. Lol
Scott Bixler you are a very intelligent man but most of these comments seem to come from very judgemental ignorant people
can't we house these homeless folks at FEMA camps?
Stay FAR away from FEMA internment and re-education camps. It would be extremely naïve and dangerous to trust the government. Read the leaked "Internment and Resettlement Operations" manual to learn the real agenda of FEMA.
How is it safe or healthy for her and her baby though, to have no sewage facilities? Having to shit and piss on the nearby ground - someone else will have to clean up the sewage
The question is would you rather have these homeless people working or have them unemployed. Keep raising the minimum wage and more unskilled workers will fall into the homeless...
I'm tired of the whole "no one should be homeless in one of the richest country in the world"card. the United States is broke.
Rumple Forskin ....these are private individuals making an effort to bring a solution to a problem and being prevented from doing so
Rumple Forskin still one of the richest countries in the world. Lol doesn't change that fact
Rumple Forskin plenty of money for bombs and wars though
what's the difference between a tent and a plywood home? and what the fuck is that homeless lady doing with a TV in her tent @15:17? sometimes i think you hoard too many things and it complicates your situation.
