👍👍 Thank you , my friend😌 ! ( Justin) you were...🤔Definitely one of the first online guitarist that Was out there that really helped me learn one of first songs through detailed close up instructions, with bright clear lighting, for those that were there in the early days, ...🤔 of the on online podcasting movement , everyone wanted to 'show "their stuff". ...(despite bad lighting, and unedited material , and sometimes, people that wanted to help 🤔...but skill set was not totally "With it" .So what happened as a beginner is that you learn a little but, the little bit was not so accurate... Justin's skill level was fun and well above average. ( my skill set being average😂)... , he helped take me ( a long with a few personal instructors) to a higher level ... DEFINITELY grateful and Appreciative of that ,"Era" of online guitar instruction or online school of guitar 🙏😌! ....🤔....At least for me there are five to seven people , just a hand full, that have "made" online guitar "boom" Justin and his unique stile is definitely one of the original "Pioneers" of what has become a great movement 😉an area that is VERY saturated NOW. ... IN terms of all things guitar and music appreciation, .. ...🤔of course Rick Beato (Pioneer), and... there are a few relatively "New guys" on the block, so to speak, that have really "dialed in" on the particulars of getting things "Tight" 😅, the teaching well, of learning a song.... but pure guitar instruction of a particular song or stile Justin was my "go to". ...then and still is today in my handful of go-tos on guitar instruction ✌️💖☺️🙏

Justin! Thought I'd share my story - I started playing guitar just under 10 years ago at 18 when I had quit the sport I spent my life pursuing. I ended up going through just about every course/lesson you had and fell deeply in love with the guitar. I ended up quitting my job and attending music school. I now teach guitar full time for a living and actively gig in a couple different bands. Thanks for everything - you truly changed my life!

Hi Justin, this is my first time commenting on one of your videos. I have been following you since about 2010 when I learned how to play Silent Night for my grandma. I’ve learned so much from you over the last decade and even though my guitar playing has taken a back seat in the last few years I still enjoy checking out your new videos. I signed up for the monthly PayPal donations in about 2015 and I would encourage others to do the same, if they are fortunate enough to be able to afford it. Buying this guy a beer every month is worth it :) here’s to the next decade man, keep up the good work.

Justin mate, a big thank you from someone who first picked up a guitar at 18, 14 years ago, by watching your original beginners course and all that you've put out after that. The importance this instrument has had in my life is beyond quantifiable. I've moved from Portugal to the UK quite a few years ago (London, recognise many of the places you've mentioned in this video!) and I have made so many great friends through music and guitar here. I can't imagine what my life would have been without it.

I think it's impossible to fathom just how many, guitarists/performers/bands etc. Yourself and Marty (I know there is a host of other great content creators but you two in particular go hand in hand) taught and heavily influenced. There must be tens of thousands of people out there probably around 20-40 years old say who learned from RUclips back in the day when it boomed, from bedroom guitarists, to people playing their small town scene all the way to professionals. I think you guys inspired an entire generation of musicians.

You’ve made such a huge difference (not that I’m good now) . I think the first song I learned from you was to play Vincent correctly. I remember your humility when you said you couldn’t easily play it and sing along; the first thing that came to my mind was, ”What the hell, if he can’t, how can I?” But that was the challenge as I’ve been listening to it since 1971!

An absolute legend! Back in the day (now i sound old as a 25 year old 😂) most teachers taught sloppy versions that they were happy if they sounded somewhat like the song.
But not you. You absolutely nailed every song you taught with great attention to detail (I have made great steps learning all the licks and bits of ‘Sultans of Swing’)! 😊
Today you don’t go into as much detail anymore (or have easier songs), which I understand due to the time and effort it takes. But you always explain what you left out and why, and some pointers on how to get into more detail 😊
However, as a more experienced guitar player today, I would love to see you tackle some harder songs now and then again. As much as I still love to watch your content in hope for some subtleties you always manage to point out, I think intermediate and advanced guitar players on your channel would love to have a challenge once in a while 🙃
And maybe it’s nice for you too 😉
If I can give a suggestion: Samba Pa Ti by Santana is still high on my list to learn, but is too hard for me to figure out with all it’s little embellishments, dynamics and woven double guitar part :)

My sons grandad got him a cheap Mitchell acoustic guitar when he was little but he never took interest. Fast forward 10 years to 2020 and I was locked down in my house. I was 45 years old and the only instrument i had ever played was the clarinet in 8th grade band. I decided to give the guitar a go and found your online lessons when I looked on reddit about the best online instructors. I quickly joined your online community and have never looked back. I have also upgraded from the Mitchell guitar to a nice Martin. I would like to say thanks to your youtube videos I'm now very much an intermediate player. Your left handed playing really helped me see that people are not just born with some magical talent to play the guitar and it takes loads of practice.

justinguitar felt like a goldmine when I discovered it for the first time, I feel lucky to have had this resource when I started out. I still don't understand how you have managed to keep your content free, but it has benefited countless youngsters starting out on their guitars who really cannot afford to pay for classes. You are an absolute legend, and my personal hero.

Picked up the guitar during Corona, after not playing for 30+ years, and have played almost every day since. JustinGuitar was great for me to get (re-)started, and still is really great. It almost feels like cheating, comparing to hard it was to learn guitar stuff back when I was 16. Thank you Justin for the laid back but focused no nonsense approach to teaching. (I think i'll order another T-shirt to support the channel now.)

Thank you Justin. 7 months in to my lessons and loving it. Your appeal to me is (a) your ability to deconstruct a lesson and deliver it in the perfect sequence to incrementally build capability, (b) you’re sense of humour and (c) your humility. A true master doesn’t need to tell everyone they are, they just are…and that’s you. Looking forward to many more years on this journey with you. Bless you and your family.
