Great video! Thank you :) question tho.. is it necessary to have the wind jacket and the torrent shell ? I just picked up the torrent shell and the micropuff from Patagonia. Should it be enough for April ?
Should be enough! As long as you have a baselayer, a fleece layer, a puffy layer, and a waterproof layer, you should be set. The only time its super duper cold is if you decide to start hiking before sunrise. Definitely need a beanie/gloves/buff though. If i did it again, I would just bring a light sleeping bag liner instead of a full sleeping bag/quilt since the places all provide blankets. Have fun!
Hi Standish! I'm Jenn's friend and she led me to this video since I will be going to Nepal. Thank you for this really helpful video of your gear! Do you have to wash everything with bottled or filtered water while you were there? Did you encounter any stomach issues? Thanks again!
Hey! The water on the trek is never murky and there's faucets everywhere. It's fine to wash with but perhaps not safe to drink, so we used a Sawyer for drinking (or you could use treatment tablets). Try to wash stuff during lunch so it has time to dry hanging off your pack. There's many "clean drinking water stations" along the trek if you never want to deal with water treatment, but it costs $0.50 to fill a liter. I didn't get stomach issues but Jenn had a bad case, so remember to use hand sanitizer before eating and after the potty!
Planning to visit in September
Glad your pillows the right puffiness bro
Did you wear the same clothes the whole trek, I only saw a shirt or two
I'm planning for my Sept Annapurna and would love to see what your sister packed too.
Great video. Can you make a video of your sister's gear too for female? Thank you
