As an additional tip, I suggest using a mod to allow yourself to take water jugs from the dispensers; it will allow you to water at least 20 crops to full between refills, which I think is the best you can do in the entire base game.
go to the produce werehouse, build the composters there instead of lugging it back. tear down all the craetes for lumber and nails, build composters. fill them and come back a few weeks later. u also have alot of sacks there
There is a lot of this warehouses/food depots full of fruit and vegetables, that got rotten in the first 2w of the game. Most of it is in Doe Valley area. It is easier to build composters in there and return weeks later just to get the fertilizers. You can even use the empty sacs of fruits/vegs to fill with fertilizer.
The first 4 are all useful to you still... and as someone who enjoys my current playthrough of a 0 zombies, insane loot, low nature abundance i can also say that rotten food can still be used by getting a high cooking level(suprisingly easy with help of foraging)
Even with the loot settings on the lowest possible for food I still find enough food that I'll never bother with farming. Same with most of the useless skills in this game. Thank god the devs are adding goats though! 🐐
I have over 800 hours in the game and still haven't done any farming or fishing. I always collect the supplies and plan to get into it later on, but end up dying before I get to it.
@@WarmRivet I haven't tried 6 months later, but I always play on extremely rare everything. I still think it's way too much loot, I wish I could make it even less. I start running out of space way too soon.
Can I grow grass tile instead of dirt tile 😅 I mean I dig dirt to the roof, then I want the diged hole to be full with grass again. Can I do it? Pls Help 😂
The location you show is not near Riverside, it's near Rosewood if I trust the map. :)
Yeah it is, I realised that today when a friend pointed it out 😑
There's no problem with that ! The most important is people can know, now :)
I always confuse/mix up rosewood and riverside as well lol

Goated mod
Farm right next to the river so you can farm, fish, wash yourself at the same time. You can get a lot of rotten produce in supermarkets.
Make sure that with fertiliser, don't use any more than 3 units because they die at 4-5
These are some pretty good tips thanks
anytime legend 💜
#6: Plant your crops when it's raining so that you don't have to water them the first time

now thats a pro tip, damn
@@WarmRivet you can use it for a vid mate, will get to more ppl that way 💕 u can also use the leftover wood to build random walls for carpentry xp.
All this time I thought I was throwing worms in the composter randomly lol
☠️☠️☠️
This is actually really helpful cause I've found a lot of rotten sacks of food and a lot of rotten milk so now I should go get em lol

You fuckin genius lmfao, I never thought of that; you even have all materials on site, if you disassemble the boxes
Very helpful. But I’m a “insane loot, automatic water and electricity shut off, and 12 months since apocalypse” player
So am I, but 99% of the player base isn’t so 😂

Pretty sure they changed it, so now you need fresh/stale milk for Mildew cure
Damn, that sucks actually
Seems like a bad change until they actually add cows
Just starting out but didnt know milk could be rotten for the recipe. My milk was in the composter!
Nice dance moves bro
I try
Good tips thanks
But aren’t the gaps you show too small? I thought you needed 2 clear spaces

gotta try a 6 months later play through with only rotten food and very rare cans my guy

Yeah get the 12 months later mod, fresh food is just so easy to get in the normal game

how to you know what disease your crops have
your farming level has to be high enough, check the wiki for more deets :)
I basee right next to that building
At the crib with the wooden fence and perfect gardening area
Tip no.1. don't farm, fish. The end
Can I grow grass tile instead of dirt tile 😅 I mean I dig dirt to the roof, then I want the diged hole to be full with grass again. Can I do it? Pls Help 😂
If you don’t plant anything on it I think it’ll turn to grass eventually
wait how long do they take to grow? 50 real life hours?
nah in game hours :)
No need build all these water container whrn you are farming next to the river or a lake
Tip 1, dont buy this game, it sucks. 10 years early access says it all.
7 days to die too but I played more than 500 hrs. So what? Some early access games are better than AAA updated releases lol.
Lol this games alot of fun. I play it with my son all the time. One of if not the most intense games we've both ever played
