Diplex maby you should give survivors names and such and have them appear on other videos and as the series progresses they could survive or die. and we can get new perspectives example:(new order death squad could be given a name like "Red Squad, etc." and we could see if their mission go successful and they climb the ranks or if they go out on the wrong night and are slaughtered) Good series by the way I'm enjoying it
The old man listened as the sounds of gunshots echoed through the night. A year ago, he had been a young man. Young before the bombs. But seeing one's family die first from the bombs, then the world the nuclear hellfire had spat back out like an animal discarding the offal of a kill could make anyone age quick. He craned his head up to the sky, as his ancestors had eons ago, listening in the dark for anything close. The predators had changed. Now, they had knives and guns instead of sharp sticks and teeth. But the instincts remained the same, and they had kept him alive. Others would not be so lucky tonight, he thought in time to the distant report of a shotgun, and perhaps he too would die tonight. Who he was, where he was, where he had been, none of it mattered now. Nobody would remember him, even when--and he knew it was inevitable--they'd find his corpse rotting in the open air and took what nature and a violent end hadn't destroyed. He listened for a moment longer, then put the fire out, falling into an uneasy sleep. Tomorrow was a new day, pray you live to see it, he thought to himself. The staccato report of a far away Kalashnikov was his lullaby.
I know this is late as hell and probably pointless but this gave me some writing information, so here goes: Steel ground against steel; the convoy limped to a halt. This was the third time today they’d stopped. Dmitri’s head pounded in time with the puffing locomotive. What could possibly be holding them up now? All he could think of was the weasely conductor bumbling up and down the line, telling everyone “It were just a deer,” or “Engine’s heatin’ up.”. Men groaned all around him, some from their wounds, and others from frustration. This was no way to treat freshly-blooded veterans. “The fuck’s gone on now?” “No clue.” A few comments soon evolved into an incoherent blanket of chatter all around him. Men began to slam their hands on the side of the carriage. The noise made him think back to the battle, but Dmitri knew better than to reflect on these things, and pushed it from his head. Ivan prodded him with an elbow and began to stand. Dmitri understood, his comrade wanted fresh air. He allowed Ivan to lean on him as they nudged through the aisle. The heat was less unbearable near the front of the carriage, where a steady breeze drifted lazily through the open doors. Cautiously, he led Ivan down the steps and onto the grass. There was hardly any landscape to be seen, just a thick wall of pines on both sides of the railway. Dmitri led Ivan to a rock a good distance from the train, where the din of upset soldiers was barely audible, and birds could be heard singing tranquil songs. “Thanks, comrade.” Ivan was clearly out of breath - his words were brief and choppy. Despite Ivan’s reassurance, he could tell his leg wound was draining him. His skin had taken on a sickly color and his eyes were reddened and bloodshot; his condition certainly wasn’t improving. Ivan would probably need surgery. “A nasty leg wound, that.” He nodded. “You feeling okay, Ivan?” He looked into those bloodshot eyes for a moment, before shifting his eyes to the still-rocking train. Ivan smiled weakly. “Never better.” It was a frank lie that, Dmitri thought, he told more to himself than to anyone else. He thought back on how Ivan had taken the wound, running out in the open like a bold idiot. He should have known better than that - he’d been fighting side-by-side with Dmitri since the day they’d joined the Republic - but he’d always been careless in his heroism. Dmitri had barely managed to bring down the cultist who shot him, before he himself had to run into the crossfire. A bullet had landed just next to his ear, embedding itself in the tree behind them, and four or so had kicked up dirt from the ground behind his heels. It was nothing short of miraculous they’d both managed to escape. Ivan went to reach for his water canteen but Dmitri stopped him, giving him his own. He needed it more than him anyways, and water was scarce enough as it was. Ivan nodded before he drank. “You remember Mikhail?” Dmitri had known a few ‘Mikhail’s, though all of them were dead. “Which one?” Ivan frowned, apparently Dmitri should have remembered this one specifically. “The one that fought the medics off like a maniac?” The memory was stark now, and Dmitri remembered the man exactly. He’d been wounded in the leg, much like Ivan was, and was going to have it amputated. Instead of going quietly, however, he’d fought like a cornered beast; shooting one of the doctors with a revolver thrice, before Dmitri slotted him through the throat with the hand saw meant for his leg. Perhaps Dmitri had suppressed the memory, or perhaps he’d seen such horrific things that, now, it all seemed to blend together. “Listen here, Dmitri.” Those bloodshot eyes seemed to hold a hint of sadness now. “If the docs ever… You know… Try to take my leg…” “Would you do for me what you did for him?” Dmitri didn’t even have to think twice, he knew his answer. “Certainly, comrade.” “Thank you.” They sat in silence for awhile, Dmitri’s mind already wandering off of the gruesome topic and back onto their journey. The train’s passengers were still raging, as they had the last time they’d stopped, and a brawl had broken out. He could just vaguely see it through the windows of the train, a group of men punching indiscriminately in a crowd. Crack. It pierced the air, birds all around took to flight, and a man in the brawl hung limply out of the open window. Dmitri instantly pushed himself flat against the ground, dragging Ivan with him. He peered out from the edge of their rock. Crack. This one was much closer, merely a matter of yards away from Dmitri and his wounded comrade. Crack. Thud. Loose silt was kicked up by a bullet impact feet away from his hand. He’d seen where it had come from, on the other side of the tracks, and knew it was a stray shot. Ivan tried to rise but Dmitri held him down, he’d had enough heroics out of the small Russian for one day. Besides, if he’d let him rise, it would mean certain death for them both. The treeline erupted with a dozen muzzle flashes; Dmitri put his head back behind the rock. All he could do was hope there was no one advancing on his side of the tracks. The shots were constant, fast, and obviously effective, as the screams of those in the carriages bore witness. From the sound of the shots, these assailants were carrying AK-47’s. Shudders were sent down Dmitri’s spine. Cultists. He rolled over and onto his back, placing Ivan and himself up against the rock. Ivan had brought a Makarov to bear while Dmitri shouldered his AK-12 and steadied his breathing. His eyes darted left and right, alert to any movement at all in the surrounding forest. The first man he saw would have a round in-between his eyes without hesitation. The familiar war-cries of the Cultists rang out through the forest, he cursed under his breath. Suddenly, footsteps were pounding through the underbrush and, before he knew it, a crazed Cultist was running out of the bushes. Two shots pierced his forehead and his sternum nearly simultaneously. His body carried its forward momentum, plummeting towards their rock, tumbling down the hill and slamming into the rock beside Ivan. More Cultists came, and more Cultists tumbled; until their rock had ten of them stacked up against it. Dmitri fought with his intuition alone, spotting every single one of the Cultists before they even suspected he was there, and letting Ivan clean up the rest. His magazine had run out already and not a single shot had missed. The stream of Cultists was stemmed and then stopped. Dmitri listened closely. Was this merely a lull in the battle? Or had they truly been broken? Crack. Fzzzzh. Thud. A bullet had impacted something, and it certainly wasn’t the rock. Dmitri looked to his side. “Run, comrade! The fuckers got me!” Those bloodshot eyes were crazed now, and blood was pouring out of a wound in Ivan’s chest. In his one hand was a grenade, in his other: the pin. Dmitri rolled away, stood, and began to sprint for his life. His legs worked like clockwork, his arms pumped like pistons in an engine, his breath came steadily; regularly. “Dasvidania, Dmitri!” The small Russian’s raspy laughter was followed by an Earth-shaking blast. Ivan was no more. Dmitri ran even faster. A line of soldiers stood between him and the train. Dmitri turned on his heels and went to change direction before he realised something. They weren’t Cultists. Those are Trade Unionists. Hope brimmed in his heart and he began to shout ecstatically. “Republican! Republican!” The line advanced into the forest, past him, and began to return fire at the Cultists. The Republic had won the day.
And here we see a wild writer, soon to become a famous author, luring his prey also known as readers with an amazing story... Good job though. That was a great story.
a few more video's and then the russian army and the politicians that joined the war come out of their underground bunkers to regain control of the area.
I definitely think you should bring back the bandit with the silenced weapon. I think it would be cool if he tried to unite all the bandits together to form a Bandit Union or something. Anyways as for me the scavengers are my favorite faction!
hay Diplex you should do a thing where you show avrage life in each faction and btw this is some of the best work youve done yet. best idea ive ever seen
Yea maybe he should show how well each faction is doing on like a simple statistic saying whether they are thriving or there disappearing from the entire scene. Maybe some new factions might even arise to contend with what is currently 4 major factions.
+Tomas Rivera *Lone, just want to point that out. And also yeah, maybe Diplex could develop this character even further. Making him an interesting person..
Having not watched this yes I would like to ask for MOAR! this series is your best work! and thats why i always hit the like button because I am not a scrub.
this is epic, during the day in the Novgorod wasteland, political rivalries continue, trading commences, and everybody is outside in there settlements, and the scavengers and bandits hide away. during the night in the Novgorod wasteland, the factions hide in there settlements, heck even the cult of Yrmack hides in the buildings and wait the night out but won't say no to a firefight, wastelanders and mercenaries take shelter to hide from the things the lurk outside, the bandits and scavengers roam around, and the death squads move out. this is amazing diplex it may not seem like it but you have created a hole new world with it's own rich lore and stories. keep it up diplex :)
This is great man! Keep up the good work; been watching your vids for along time and its amazing to see you come up with another series like the wwIII series. So here's a suggestion for the future ( i'm sure you are going to run out of maps at some point) if you just reuse this map bc the order took it with their death squad and have settled it (This is at the point where the town has walls and defences so it might take some time to make but I think it would be awesome) and then the cultist try to burn it to the ground and take it back... Anyways! Keep up the amazing work! I admire you and your genius ideas such as this one
Would be cool having 2 diferent citie in one big map and they are enemies of each other, so it could be like a mini series, one episode they are going for supplies, the next, they are fighting for a place, etc, nice vids DIPLEX!
Diplex can you please add in a faction I thought of? The Bolshevik Union - Socialist Union based in the east Ukraine and west of Stalingrad. They rival the New Order. The Bolshevik Union wants to restore the Soviet Union under a new ruler
To be honest I love the work that is being put into this, it's a great series so far. But I thought that it might be cool to add in a mercenary faction maybe, just ideas, anyway keep it up!
I like The Nodgrove and the Trade Union, The Nodgroves play it smart and try not to get involved and wait till a strong side is weak and attack meanwhile the Trade Union tries to keep funds and supplies to survive.
U should do a siege on a Republic settlement by the cultist then have the trade union come in and save them because the city is located on a Major trade route(cause cultist don't trade well) that would be sick
Hey diplex you could do a video about an assault on the newly populated town in the Novgorod region. The town is the same town seen in this episode and was populated by the new order! And any faction could be attacking it, but seeing as the cultist are insane enough to try it should be them! Hope you like another idea and merry Christmas or happy holidays ;)
Loving these videos whether it be waste lander stories on a random night or a full scale engagement with the different factions. I like the New Order the most just because there badass, I'd wonder do the New Order negotiate with others to make them join their faction or do people from the wasteland just want to receive protection by going to their outposts, maybe they even spread propaganda around. In real life I'd be more of a trade union guy for sure.
Yo Diplex I reckon you're due for a new Questions & Answers video soon. maybe and end of 2015 summery or something. Also Great series keep it up! :) :) :)
I got a idea The Cultists are going to attack a local Trade Union Outpost but the Novgorov People see them coming thus warning the Trade Union to set up defenses or a ambush. All the while some Rebel Militia Are able to scavenge a Buzzard Copter with minimum ammo which is shot down eventually when going over a scavenger group. Thus drawing a ton of attention and bringing down multiple groups to scavenge the remains. Hope u use this scenario :D
this video now made me think of my Peacekeeper faction in EU but yet its interesting story that is off task of the four russian factions even though their are many stories out their in the Wastelands
make a vid about this in denmark/Sweden scenario where some trade guys have to cross the sea between Denmark and sweden and make like a weird land invasion in order to do so. could be cool? i would like to see this
So, if i get it right, war never "officially" over. So why all of a sudden in the middle of random video (in this universe) an a military show over, stumble on an armed groups of civilian, bandits, cultists and ex-military and steamrolling through all of the factions with more firepower and possible even air/artillery support. You can stretch this theme through several video, like: 1. small recon group found unknown armed forces; 2. first military assault on base of some faction; 3. few factions join against massive military attack.
I agree with DP, I like the Trade Union and personally I feel like I would join them if I lived in Russian, spoke Russian, Survived WW3, found them, I would join them because it seems kinda like the best choice because of their love of money they will always be better equipped it seems and they are always on the move and trading. But yeah Trade Union forever!
this is the map that you used in ep 2 of the modern mod am pretty sure am not the only-one that noticed that also diplex bring back that series with this mod
I actually prefer this to everything on the channel( I think! It's my words, you can think whatever you want :) keep it up and I support the bandits :) sadly they are bad at everything in must games....EXAMPLE: fallout XD good work diplex :D and merry Christmas and new year to everyone :)
19:01 I think he can't be from Poland. Wiaczesław (phonetic - Viacheslav) isn't common name in Poland, I don't know ANYONE with that name, mate :D Please, continue that post-apo series bro. U've got my sub'. #teamEBRguy remember about him in next video
when you put wasteland stories I thought you meant myths in the wasteland like the fallout story of vault 77 either way both good video and story I mentioned
So a powerful and smart leader emerges. with jeep loaded with good weapons and supplies. Question is who will he help? And the zealots take another heavy blow and another small bandit party is taken out. Perhaps they will join into larger groups now.
It's jungle out there! Can you have the new order attack a heavily populated (relatively) settlement of the Novgorod Republic with trade unioners and civilians caught in the crossfire
I miss this intro so much... so much history with it these videos got me through a very sad time in my life I’ll never forget this gift
Diplex maby you should give survivors names and such and have them appear on other videos and as the series progresses they could survive or die. and we can get new perspectives example:(new order death squad could be given a name like "Red Squad, etc." and we could see if their mission go successful and they climb the ranks or if they go out on the wrong night and are slaughtered) Good series by the way I'm enjoying it
The only good idea
+thecanedfish G I would personally want to see the story of the ambusher who killed the mercs. Hidden at every fight leaving like a ghost.
Not sure if anyone gives a damn but I just hacked my girl friends Instagram account by using Instaplekt. Just google for it ;)

WoobooRidesAgain well done.
Holy shit
LOVE THE SERIES, possibly for the next video have an expedition from the trade union heading west, maybe into poland or north into finland/sweden
+Lathan Allsbrooks Yeah. The Trade Union loves to explore.
+DiplexHeated It would be awesome to see an area where the Trade Union has a lot of traffic/ influence.
You should call the Cult of Yermak YSIN [Yermac States In Novgorod]
+CluelessNinja 21 May be not
+DiplexHeated Maybe let them find the New Scandanavian Conglomerate. As a new threat.

I remember this series I love it long live Novgorod Republic
This is one of the best videos ever, please do a lot more!!!
+ThickCutDixonButt Thank you! :)
+DiplexHeated i sent you 2 maps in GMAIL can you try to make vids? btw the bloopers were funny as all hell :D
+DiplexHeated i know I might sounds like a moron, but what game is this? Is it men of war assault squad 2?
yea this is MOWAS 2 and the Red Rising part is a mod
Did you purposely make the scavengers wander around or did the ai do that on its own?
a few more video's and then the russian army and the politicians that joined the war come out of their underground bunkers to regain control of the area.
It sounds like Fallout,
I LIKE IT!
Diplex should do that sounds cool
+praetoriancorps Russian enclave?
We'll call them the "ascendency"
***** Yeah that's better
really like this post-apocalyptic scenario, hope it becomes a big serie.
I definitely think you should bring back the bandit with the silenced weapon. I think it would be cool if he tried to unite all the bandits together to form a Bandit Union or something. Anyways as for me the scavengers are my favorite faction!
Almost 3 years later and still no season 2, what a shame.
Make it 4. I got too sad and made my own personal one
@@holdenhankins2046 8 years its neverr comeing
hay Diplex you should do a thing where you show avrage life in each faction

Novgorod republic is most Cheeki Breeki!
Anyone rewatching this series because they’re bored af due to quarantine?
I hope that one day we will see the loan wolf again.
+Tomas Rivera *Lone, just want to point that out. And also yeah, maybe Diplex could develop this character even further. Making him an interesting person..
+Tomas Rivera He reminds me of Hunter from "Metro 2034"
I know right, that's what i was thinking as well
What episode is he from
YES, ANOTHER VIDEO! But, more Four Factions, absolutely loved the first videos.
New Order=4th reich from metro. Best faction
+Frederick William They're more like the Red Line.
+Frederick William Most retarded faction maybe, Being a Slav and being a Neo-Nazi speaks volumes of how low that person's intelligence is.
Frederick Wilhelm I hate the Reich, but long live the New Order.
Its the 1st reich of Russia. But.... GLORY TO THE ORDER
Having not watched this yes I would like to ask for MOAR! this series is your best work! and thats why i always hit the like button because I am not a scrub.
I Love the NOVGOROD Republic
I love the little scenarios you do like the beginning of the video!
Yes! I love this series looking forward to the next episode!!!
I just love it please DO MORE OF IT Shared your series with my friends
The "Who are you?" at 7:30 really reminded me of the Force Awakens trailer lol
this is epic, during the day in the Novgorod wasteland, political rivalries continue, trading commences, and everybody is outside in there settlements, and the scavengers and bandits hide away. during the night in the Novgorod wasteland, the factions hide in there settlements, heck even the cult of Yrmack hides in the buildings and wait the night out but won't say no to a firefight, wastelanders and mercenaries take shelter to hide from the things the lurk outside, the bandits and scavengers roam around, and the death squads move out. this is amazing diplex it may not seem like it but you have created a hole new world with it's own rich lore and stories. keep it up diplex :)
love it, you should also make some tutorials for how you make the maps and setting waypoints for the soldiers and vehicles.
I absolutely love this series. I really hope you make more videos. Trade Union all the way! Stay awesome Diplex!!
This is great man! Merry Christmas Diplex and to all in his community :)
New Order!! Hoorah!
FOR THE NEW ORDER!
"The Novograd Republic is afraid of conflict" they must be led by Obama
Lel.
gtfo u trump loving dork
+seanandjay29 why do think he supports trump?
+Demon Boy I'm pretty sure he doesn't want to war with North Korea. But hey, the sooner the better am I right?
+chase patton because anyone who hates Obama with a passion is a dumb ass radical repub who will destroy our country
I like Novgorod Republic Im still waitng for a season 2
I support the Republic. Also, really enjoyed the random and unguided feel to this scenario. Keep it up!
Dude, New fav Series!!!
hmm........ I like the republic guys
+Owen Butler
New Order seems pretty cool to me. A real safe bet for safety.
EDIT: Nevermind they're commies
You will fall to the first order
+Owen Butler Trade Union is the best option.
me to i like the novgrod republic
Mary Anne Flowers what if the Novgorod republic rubbed dicks with the new order aka they team up
Would be cool having 2 diferent citie in one big map and they are enemies of each other, so it could be like a mini series, one episode they are going for supplies, the next, they are fighting for a place, etc, nice vids DIPLEX!
I remember 2012 Diplex with almost 1 hour long videos
Listening without watching..
Feels like an old radio reading
(Radio Stations used to read books on air)
Diplex can you please add in a faction I thought of? The Bolshevik Union - Socialist Union based in the east Ukraine and west of Stalingrad. They rival the New Order. The Bolshevik Union wants to restore the Soviet Union under a new ruler
+justin mccoy thanks
***** yeah that's true. That's a fair argument. Just think there needs to be one more major faction
+GASMASKGAMING _ i think a New Order is kind of Communists
+DOV Akin they have similar ideals however the Bolshevik union wants to form a militaristic state with a form of the old Soviet Union
+GASMASKGAMING _ i think that a fascist faction would be better just because a neo nazi faction is rarely used.
These are so good. Great job Diplex
and Stanislav Locinov goes to became the greatest bandit in wasteland
Have christmas island be behind all of it... love your videos man and happy Christmas and a merry New Year
To be honest I love the work that is being put into this, it's a great series so far. But I thought that it might be cool to add in a mercenary faction maybe, just ideas, anyway keep it up!
Love these videos keep them going
I just wanna say I love your videos diplex keep up the good work :)
I like The Nodgrove and the Trade Union, The Nodgroves play it smart and try not to get involved and wait till a strong side is weak and attack meanwhile the Trade Union tries to keep funds and supplies to survive.
Make this a full blown series, this is amazing, I look forward to watching the next, its not quite the same trying to re-act this in MOW 1 :(
+tom bud Btw probally trade fed!
Go Novgorod Republic!
glory to the novgrod republic
LOVE THIS SERIES
U should do a siege on a Republic settlement by the cultist then have the trade union come in and save them because the city is located on a Major trade route(cause cultist don't trade well) that would be sick
9:28
"I've been shot! I must activate my face to floor magnet!"
Great videos! Maybe you could do a scenario where one of the four factions run into some of the leftover troops of the "old" armies.
Awesome videos, awesome series. Keep it up!
Hey diplex you could do a video about an assault on the newly populated town in the Novgorod region. The town is the same town seen in this episode and was populated by the new order! And any faction could be attacking it, but seeing as the cultist are insane enough to try it should be them! Hope you like another idea and merry Christmas or happy holidays ;)
that lone wolf MUST COME BACK
THIS WAS INSANELY COOL PLEASE DO MORE :D
This needs 1 million
Your story telling is real good.
Epic! I would LOVE more!
There is only one way forward, one way to ensure humanities survival, the right way, the only way, The Order!
In real life I'd be more of a trade union guy for sure.
this series is so awesome
marry chrismas diplex
Loving the series keep it up !! :)
Great video, this looks like a great series! keep it up :)
this is surprisingly enjoyable :) keep it up
this video now made me think of my Peacekeeper faction in EU but yet its interesting story that is off task of the four russian factions even though their are many stories out their in the Wastelands
on that night as they sleep they are cut down by the lone wanderer
make a vid about this in denmark/Sweden scenario where some trade guys have to cross the sea between Denmark and sweden and make like a weird land invasion in order to do so. could be cool? i would like to see this
So, if i get it right, war never "officially" over.
Very interesting video, I would love more.
This series (although I'm not fully caught up yet) is very heavily reminding me of EPOCH and Dayz..
The Trade Union seems like a decent group
I live in Russia, and I like to watch your videos, thanks for your work :)
HEY DIPLEX, big fan here. Just wanted to ask since you seem to have the inside scoop for red rising, when can we expect it to be for public use?
That poor old man just want to be warm be a fire but got gunned down. :(
I feel like the followers of yermac are like Caesar's Legion from fallout 2 and New Vegas.
This series is Epic ! keep it going and I'll keep watch. The republic should have been in this vid tho.
Love this That man seems very interesting maybe more back story?
Diplexheated you should make this into a series
this is the map that you used in ep 2 of the modern mod am pretty sure am not the only-one that noticed that also diplex bring back that series with this mod
The Yermaks will live on!
The maps man, WE NEED THEM.
I love this series its awesome
I actually prefer this to everything on the channel( I think! It's my words, you can think whatever you want :) keep it up and I support the bandits :) sadly they are bad at everything in must games....EXAMPLE: fallout XD good work diplex :D and merry Christmas and new year to everyone :)
19:01 I think he can't be from Poland. Wiaczesław (phonetic - Viacheslav) isn't common name in Poland, I don't know ANYONE with that name, mate :D Please, continue that post-apo series bro. U've got my sub'.
#teamEBRguy remember about him in next video
+Kuźwa, nie trafiłem Haha, #teamEBRguy :)
I like the peaceful nolvegald republic
Matthew Schainker I don't think that's spelled right xD
Matthew Schainker I like the New Order!
when you put wasteland stories I thought you meant myths in the wasteland like the fallout story of vault 77 either way both good video and story I mentioned
So a powerful and smart leader emerges. with jeep loaded with good weapons and supplies. Question is who will he help? And the zealots take another heavy blow and another small bandit party is taken out. Perhaps they will join into larger groups now.
Can you put this series in a playlist? Quite hard to find the videos in order! Cheers!
I LOVE THIS PLEASE DO MORE
Awesome series
It's jungle out there! Can you have the new order attack a heavily populated (relatively) settlement of the Novgorod Republic with trade unioners and civilians caught in the crossfire
TRADE UNION!! (my imaginary trade union slogan: "WE UNITE FOR GOLD AND GLORY!!!") *5 golden fists raising toward a red sun*
Wow a fps game like dayz would be so cool like this!!!
is he using the editor to make these battles?
keep up the amazing content
Not saying you should stop this but these scenarios are scary and could actually happen. KEEP IT UP!
