This is incredibly valuable, thank you for making such a great tool and for the clear documentation and tutorials

Hello, what a great tutorial! One question: I use OpenLand to create footsteps. Works fine. I convert my level into a World Partition Level but the footsteps are not visible anymore. Any suggestions what I have to change to make them visible in the WP Level? Tried already lots of things but nothing works. Thanks & kind regards, A

Hi this plugin is great! However, I'm having a problem on a large open world map with streaming landscape proxies, I am driving a car across the land and at a certain point the deformation stops happening.. is that because I'm reaching the edge of the Render Target texture over a 8km landscape?
If so, is there a way to only keep that render target texture directly around the car I'm driving since I don't care about trails left far behind where I've already come from?

Actually I think the problem is that the deformation isn't working on newly streamed in Landscape proxy tiles.. it works on all the landscapes that are loaded in when I start the game, but as I drive further and the new tiles get streamed in, then the deformation doesn't work on those

@@mchataway Well, it's a moving render target. So, it should move with your camera. I guess, this will be something to do with RVT I guess.
Try to turn off RVT & simply use normals data. You can try this by deleting RVT volumes & turning of the RVT Cache.

@@GDi4K Hi thanks for the reply!
Sorry I should have mentioned that I'm not actually using RVT deformation but am just using the normals data in the material.
It works great for all landscapes that are loaded at the beginning of playing the game, but as new landscape streaming proxies get loaded in by World Partition, the normals data isn't working on those landscapes, even though they are all using the same material instance and are using Dynamic Material Instances

how did you stop the capusal component creating deformation as have attached to my player chacters feet but still get sphere deformations

Check the first few minutes of the video. There is a setting(follow Player Character) in the deform manager. You need to uncheck that.

Displacement doesn’t seem to work when using the Megascans widget. I have the dynamic mesh thing on as well

Is it because i didn’t enable it on all proxies ?

      Hmm. What do you mean?
If you cannot afford it, you can get it from here: github.com/GDi4K/unreal-openland
And buy it from MP, in a day when you can :)
