Byron Beach Snorkelling - In the 'Bait Ball' - Lots of Fish and the Wreck

Snorkelling just off the main beach carpark at Byron Bay. Beautiful conditions in which to chill out and just float among the flotsam. You won't always see bait balls like these, but the bay held numerous ones today. This one was very close to shore.The wreck is not far off the shore and if the conditions are calm and clear with little wind and swell - like this day , it is a very safe snorkel. So many fish at the wreck! The big ones hide down at the bottom.
